At 17, Wallace Chan founded his gemstone carving workshop in 1974. In 1987, he invented the renowned illusionary carving technique “Wallace Cut”. After 8 years of research, he mastered titanium to create ethereal jewelry pieces then released the technology into the public domain. His innovation introduced titanium into the world of high jewelry to shape a new direction for modern jewelry making.
He is the first Asian jewelry artist to exhibit at TEFAF, London Masterpiece, and Biennale des Antiquaires. He was invited to deliver talks at Harvard University, Central Saint Martins, the V&A Museum, and the Cooper Hewitt Museum. Recognized as a top jewelry artist and innovator, he is featured extensively in international media. His one-of-a-kind creations are philosophical and carry messages of the past to become the heritage of the future.

@@AndrewPidor I understood the moment I saw one of his flower pieces on some snob fest jewelry showcase thing. Had to mute it, the lady was SOOOO annoying to listen to, but seeing some of those pieces in different lighting, in a showcase situation, VERY IMPRESSIVE, hit me where i live, which is literally in nature. Yoda Status with the gemstones. True master craftsman. All of it comes from the earth, and he does the devotion to life with such humility and grace :) The essence of life is breathed into each piece, some highlighting elemental forces, while others are seeming to fit the confined standards of what makes for a prized Gemstone in a piece (which i never understood). He still rebels though, and I love it. The face... much respect to Wallace! His works free my soul. He's an example that ANYTHING, quite literally, is possible if you follow your passions and hone your disciplines. I wish him blessings of happiness and joy, good health and wellness on all levels of his being. Much love to Wallace.
