Yellowstone is just too good, the progression is refreshing. Longmire on the other hand got too repetitive, the whole crime-of-the-week approach got stale. Prolonging the romance between Walt and Vic till the end of the last season was tiring.

This list should've been name *Top 10 Modern Western TV Series* , because the lack of old classic western like *Rawhide* or *Bonanza* or *The Lone Ranger* or even *Gunsmoke*

I add Yellowstone, I think it escapes this list because it's not only the best Western series, it's one of the best of my life, but it goes for this beloved genre.

Up until about 3 weeks ago, I’d never heard of any of these shows. I’ve also never paid much attention to any western films apart from the big titles. But Wowzer!!! Am I glad I finally found it?!?! Started on Yellowstone… immediately hooked! Watched all seasons in less than 2 weeks. Then 1883 in 2 days! And I’ve just finished Godless! Can’t get enough. The characters, the scenery, the horses! Amazing. I’m now going to start Deadwood! If anyone has any suggestions of films or other series for a total newbie please let me know!

I have only seen a couple. Lonesome Dove is fantastic. Longmire is very good. Kung Fu is out of place. Justified is excellent

Love the list and I'm glad I've gotten some titles that I would check out. That said, the absence of Rawhide in the list is lamentable. At least Lonesome Dove js there.

Favorite is definitely Yellowstone amazing show can’t wait for a new season and if you love Yellowstone I highly recommend watching 1883

I want to find something similar to Justified, while these other series have a wild man main character on the loose, Justified had something unique sophisticated and magnificent to watch, unmatchable character of Raylan Givens⭐️

wow - you know nothing about "western" television shows! You missed so many great ones ... Bonanza: about a father and his sons working the land while helping others less fortunate than themselves. Gunsmoke: a Marshall has to keep law in ALL of Kansas with tthe help of just a few friends, fighting hate/bigotry/nature all the way. Rifleman: a father has to raise his son on the homstead by himself after his wife dies. Wagon Train: a look at people who took the Oregon Trail to get to a new life. Rawhide: Real cowboys working with real herds, and all the issues that it brings into their lives. Granted, most of these started in the 1950s but you can still find them on television today - that's how GREAT they are!!!

Do I ( agree ) with your "Top 10 Western TV Series List"..., my answer is: "NO ! !" * The Number 1 TV Series for five seasons in a row is..., "Yellowstone", period. "Lonesome Dove" and "Deadwood" came in a close second and third... Your list is ( NOT ) even close and actually, an embarrassment... "Semper Fi" Mike in Montana :)
