"Brother Bear, I let you down You trusted me, believed in me and I let you down" Those were the only lyrics that stuck out to me as a kid. To this day, they're the only part of the song I can remember. And then right after Kenai says, "You're mother's not coming." Mi Corazon!

Things on the list that still haunt me to this day: #1: Boo gets scared by Sully. (Because this scarred me for life because to this day, I still can't watch it. I legit looked away and covered my ears when he roared and she screamed.) #2: Judy blame Biology. #3: Kenai killed Koda's mother #4: Quasimodo is humiliated. (This wasn't only heartwrenching for me but for my mother as well.)

The scene in which Sulley scares Boo scared you, too? Same here. But since I've grown up, not anymore. But I'm still afraid of Thumper's scenes in A Bug's Life, and I don't watch it. Nowadays a character like that would be illegal in a children movie. Have you seen the movie? Do you remember? Did it scare you, too? Sorry for so many questions.

In the movie, Hopper has a pet grasshopper named Thumper, that has a terrifying face, sometimes is seen chained, doesn't speak, screams like a crazy baboon, breathes like he's having a heart attack, acts like an attack dog and has fangs unlike other grasshoppers. Look it up, or watch the movie again.

I know everyone's already stated this, but Kenai killing Koda's mother feels like it should be number 1. Zootopia is a close second, but it was the regret of breaking the trust between friends. And as seen, they were able to apologize and reconcile. They fixed what Judy broke and Judy was able to recant her statement of 'biology' to the public to undo the bigotry she created. But there's no undoing what Kenai did. He murdered someone (even if it was just a bear) and left a child orphaned. There's no taking that back. No amount of apologies will ever change that. Yes, they did reconcile but that was because of the bonds of brotherhood they developed on their journey, not because they made right the wrong. Judy inspired racism (speciesism?). Kenai took a life. In my opinion, what Kenai did was way worse.

Yeah,why did he have to be an honorable mention?The rest of the entries are moments you can take back,but what Kenai did was irreversible and unforgivable no matter how much guilt he carries in his heart about it.

The sad thing is about Tarzan is that Kerchak's prejudice against humans is what triggered Tarzan's rebellion in the first place. The same can be said of Triton and Elinor. There's no telling what disasters can happen if you push someone too far!

Quasimodo is a very strong man, it is a miracle that he is able to maintain optimism even in times of darkness. He is a young man who stops at nothing to achieve his dreams and save his people from danger. I’m so glad that he is part of the Disney universe! The hunchback of Notre Dame is quite heartbreaking, but it is one of my favorite movies!

Kenai only did it just for revenge and was too stupid to realize that Sitka sacrificed himself to save his brothers, and Denahi said to him "Killing that bear is wrong" I was definitely on Denahi's side "Killing the bear won't make you a man"

That's wasn't really a 'What have I done' though. He didn't regret trying to kill Professor Callaghan, nor realize that his actions caused consequences. Callaghan was going to attack Alistair Krei regardless of what Hiro did. It definitely deserves to be on a heartbreaking list, but I wouldn't count that as a 'what have i done' moment.

How is Brother Bear only an honorable mention? Kinai discovers he'd straight up murdered Koda's mother. It would have been #1 on my list. The song, "No Way Out" is so raw and emotional. *sighs* It's such an underrated film.

good one, I honestly think Quasimodo leaving the Belltower was! Not good. It was complete tragedy. All the poor man wanted was to go outside and this movie doesn’t even have a fairytale ending! And Quasimodo is so tragic. That’s the scene that always breaks me.

How about in Cars 2 when Lightning McQueen yelling at Mater saying "I don't want your help! I don't need your help!" I know its not as heartbreaking as the other entries on this list but its still sad seeing Mater sad cause he seems himself as a nuisance while with McQueen never meant for Mater to go back home it still makes me sad to this day💔

4:25 "The poor kid was just trying to protect the man who saved his life and took him under his wing." -WickedBinge In a way, because John saved Thomas's life, Thomas already owed John a very big favor. By saving him from Kocoum, Thomas significantly payed it off. Plus, by the end, Pocahontas forgave him for what he did, so it's all good.

I would have put Tarzan in the list and not as an honourable mention, that one hurt. I also think the beast one shouldn't have been edited out so early before he puts his head in his hands. IMO it's that action that really sells it along with the music. That is is my top "what have I done" moment.

Brother bear as people wrote is a big one on “What have I done”. For Brave the matter of Merida taking responsibility to what she did vs blaming someone else was a major lesson and part needed to help mend the broken relationship. Her “What have I done” was shown as positive to seeing what she done and took responsibility and honest to the situation. When Elinor is changed back Merida says “you changed.” Which the mother responds “we both did”.

I think Kenai should be number 1. I understand Judy being so high on the list, because the actual "what have I done" realization from the character is just as important as the impact and/or gravity of their action in the making of such a list, but well, his reaction was heartbreaking and probably stronger than Judy's. Also, on a personal level, his action had stronger consequences (on a global level no, though, considering the chaos Judy's press conference generated). I wish Simba had that moment of "what have I done" in regards of... well... basically everything he did in The Lion King II. Sadly, that never came. He either stubbornly refused to admit he's wrong, or just changed his mind with not a speck of regret or remorse. Ugh... I would love to see a list of the biggest "what have YOU done" moments too. Like Rapunzel's reaction when Eugene cut her hair off, effectively condemning himself.

5:02 I’m glad the one from “Brave,” one of my all time favorite films made it onto this list. Yes, a child is supposed to listen to their parents but in this case Elinor wasn’t setting a good example for Merida. When Merida tried to explain her side of the story, Elinor just shut her down (I.e. “Just listen.” “I am the queen! YOU listen to ME!” For someone who claimed her daughter was acting like a child, she certainly wasn’t behaving any better by destroying Merida’s beloved bow. Me and my own mother went through something very similar like this many years ago when we had a disagreement on what my life career should be and it turned into an all-out “war” and she got so mad she even destroyed a few of my most cherished collectibles worth hundreds of dollars in front of my eyes. She replaced them and even payed for them out of her own pocket and even got me a few other stuff I’ve been wanting as an apology but I still couldn’t forgive her for the longest time. But after a while, I finally then forgave her and the hatchet has been buried for good

The Sully and Boo scene always makes me cry. But even as I child I realized what Sully was doing, and as a result I stopped bullying my schoolmates once I saw how it might affect them. Being a monster is no fun.

Sully had made a mistake when he wanted to talk to his boss About Randells evil plan, but Sully's boss waternoose didn't listen to so he didn't a choice but ROAR loudly at the fake test child. Then at that moment when boo got closer to Sully...she saw him roaring at that kid, she felt very scared of Sully and ran away from him about what he had done. Then sully felt terrible.

Yeah, that part was so sad, the intensity, the way Linguini yelled at Remy thinking he had betrayed him broke my heart, and when Remy just gave up and walked away, my god, heartbreak, just imagine Ratatouille ended at that moment :( ( Edit ) If it DID end there, I think Pixar would’ve gotten sued.

Maybe Flik’s banishment from Ant Island from A Bug’s Life (1998) should have been on the list and then we would see the Queen blocking Dot’s way to prevent getting Flik and the Circus Bugs back. I hate that part so much! >:(

Exactly! I was especially taken aback when the queen said that Flik put himself before the colony. That was SO not true! In fact, it was quite the opposite. Flick's idea of using the bird was because he genuinely cared about his colony and wanted to free them from Hopper's oppression, not because he wanted glory and praise.

I always felt he didn’t mean to actually kill Kocuom, just wound him. I mean he was already pressured as being the youngest and Radcliffe was a manipulative bully towards him. Not to mention Smith literally screamed at him to run, while Pocahontas was torn about losing someone who actually cared about her even if she didn’t love him

You forgot one scene, and that’s one from Inside Out. Let me explain. Anger, believing that every core memory came from California until Riley had to move to San Francisco tries to make Riley run away from her new home by installing a light bulb that causes her to STEAL money from her mother’s purse for bus tickets. These selfless actions of red rage even causes Riley to hang up on her mother, causing her family island to crumble completely. And if that’s not horrible enough, the lightbulb begins to gray out the emotion control panel to the point that Riley can’t even feel any emotions. That's when Fear, Anger, and Disgust realized the horrible consequence of the Happy Core Memory Development Program, as Anger says in shock, “What have we done…?!”

The scene when Sulley accidently scared Boo in Monsters, Inc. is completely upsetting. The worst part of it, the image of her terrified expression is proof to Sulley that scaring human children is nothing to be proud about, especially in real life.
