You forgot sky-ganking! That was one of my favorite past times as a rogue. You would fly up to someone, unleash a bunch of rapid-fire attacks on them so they dismount and fall to their deaths. Then you activate your glider or parachute and laugh all the way to the ground. It's why you can't dismount players from flying mounts anymore.

Notice all this cool stuff happened in vanilla or TBC

Not gonna lie. I've played a mage as my main for 12 years. And if there was a particularly toxic pug raid group, I would make them play portal roulette.

How society would act if a plague was introduced? Like 5 people would try to fix it and most of the others would try to make it worse lol. According to the WoW study rofl.

Warlock doomguard summoning in vanilla: the summoning had the same graphic as player summon, but required five players instead of two. However one could still convince newbies to do the doom ritual. Little did they know that the doom ritual kills one random player

I consider it trolling when no real harm's been done. Getting hacked and losing all your stuff isn't trolling in my book, that's just people being real assholes. Same with that funeral raid. I would include Leroy Jenkins, btw. I think I'd consider that a troll :P

I had to explain a bunch of stuff to to my sister too after watching the movie, she only remembers Warcraft 3, While I played 3 and WoW Also yea, that number two is a bit mean, I mean so many players wanted to pay respects to a fellow WoW player and then someone just crashes the event

I say the biggest WoW troll are the people who claim they have been playing since Vanilla, but really didn't start till Wrath or later and just watch videos and read about the old times.

i remember the blood plague on my lvl 40 undead mage main and i too got hit. Was scary but pretty cool. It was like undercity meets ogrimmar. That and it felt like a REAL world event.

I died when Chad mentioned pet bombs XD I was laughing for like 10 hours straight just imagining a warlock seeing a pet appear with a red aura and screaming at the top of his lungs "PET BOMB!!" And then imagining a swarm of players trying to get away like getting into Black Friday XD

I got hacked and stripped of everything - twice! The upside: I had my account restored both times with all my stuff back plus all the stuff the person who had hacked my account had farmed in the meantime. Jackpot indeed!

i experienced and/or participated in most of these! brought pack memories! training Kazak all the way to SW took forever, friend and i did it once. we used to 'pirate' as alliance, where our entire guild would ride the horde's zeppelins and take them over like pirates. guild would all collect pirate hats and parrots in order to do this properly

I got a troll story for you. It was Wraith of the Lich King, The induction of the Engineer crafted motorcycle mounts and Passenger carrying mounts. The Motorcycle being obviously extremely popular. Still very popular today. One thing also introduced in that particular expansion was Dalaran a floating mage city, in the sewers of Dalaran there was a Pipe that you could travel through. It ends in a sheer drop floating high above the ground higher up then the mountains in the same zone. Engineers also gained a Engineer crafted and usable parachute enhancement for cloaks. As an Engineer and the initial rarity of the motorcycles and I had an very easy time getting willing riders. I'd ride around Dalaran. I'd ride around the Dalaran sewers, and after a bit I'd drive straight out the pipe and into the open sky. I had alota fun giving Dalaran Sewer rides on my Gnome Warrior. Because non Engineers often didn't know or overlooked the fact we could create and use Engineer only parachutes because I wasn't a mage or a Paladin. People assumed I couldn't or wouldn't leap off the city with them.

Fun fact: I started playing wow in vanilla when I was 7 and I remember the plague incident all too well. I was a horde mage at the time and me and my dad logged in together to play. As soon as I logged in, I immediately was just absolutely baffled at the chaos going in Orgrimmar. My dad got infected in like a minute of spawning in and I don't even know how (I think I got cleansed a couple times) but I remained unaffected for 15ish minutes. I've never been more confused and surprised by anything in my gaming life since then and to be honest, looking back it was kinda funny how my dad reacted.

Damn, WOW was so much fun back in the days.

The corrupted blood one was actually a accident initially, because if you got it on your pet and it wasnt cleansed then when you killed the boss it would run back to you and you would die. So you dismiss the pet with it on it, so the next time you resummon your pet which happened to be in org by the AH because that is where people sit for hours a day back then. It spread and wiped out everyone then people talk and it spread across every server.

The Corrupted Blood incident is known throughout all of gaming. Hot damn, would I love to have been playing WoW at the time.

the thing about the funeral "troll"... making a "joke" out of someone who literally died is not funny...period...especially when they take pictures of all the people they killed and gloated saying disrespectful things about the person dieing. I don't care what people say... if you see someone disrespect loss in real life for like... i don't know... one of your family members... you wouldn't be too happy. It would be the same for in game... but oh ... i forgot people use the famous excuse for their terrible actions as "blame the internet" well how about the excuse of "blame yourself for being such a poorly raised idiot". we are slowly going into the cyber age and everything is online, sooner of later that excuse will mean nothing and they will be held accountable. I can take a joke... i can laugh at silly trolls like the pet bomb or being tricked and falling off a cliff, but when someone actually dies and they had friends who care for this person enough to try and respect their passing when they cant be there since online you can be around the world but cant afford to travel to this person's family in real life. This is where the fine line of a joke and complete disrespectful and disgusting come in play and was crossed.

I remember logging in during corrupted blood when I was like 9 and I called my dad downstairs and he was like "WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING IN ORGRIMMAR!!"

About a year ago, I was playing some game (can't remember what. Irrelevant anyway), and this one guy we knew started talking about how the Funeral Raid happened and that he was one of the people attacking. He was so proud. And that's actually why I don't think he was lying about it. Absolutely everyone turned on him and was blasting him about how stupid he was, but he never said he was joking, just stuck to his story that it wasn't a big deal and was funny as hell. Freaking crazy.

It truly boggles the mind how many cruel, dead brained freaks of nature thought the raid on the funeral was funny. A group of friends wanted to have a funeral for someone they couldn't attend the actual funeral for, they wanted to invite people and hosted it in a place where neither faction would get ganked by people not in on what was going on, and some group of heartless, sociopathic freaks went OUT OF THEIR WAY to ruin it, dance on the corpse of the dead girls avatar, and spew insults about her. And people think that's funny?! How wretched have we become as a species that we find death of others to be a joke? Only a true heartless monster would find this funny. Truly revolting.

A couple fun honorable mentions - using the engineering mind control cap back in the day on Saurfang if you were a stealther and had him rampaging around Ogrimmar killing everyone, and another a few of my friends managed to pull off was kiting Dr. Weavil to Orgrimmar with a pet, allowing him to kill the pet, and MCing people in your party so you can go on a rampage in Orgrimmar again as he gave you a huge boost in power. Ah, fun times.

The 2nd one is just wrong. That poor girl died of a stoke and a random guild comes and ruins the memorial service to add more grief and sadness to the family and her fellow guildies.

Who’s here watching this when the channels name is DEATH BATTLE! P.S. Blizzard should put an item in the game that lets you see other players and NPCs with the corrupted blood debuff. Kinda like a toy version of “Gift of N’Zoth”

that one on number 3, the idea of a boss randomly wandering the world is kinda fun... a boss that only appear during special event where low level players are advisedd to hide in major underground places or hidey holes, but can still help undirectly somewhat, while all the major players from horde and alliance try to take him down
