The messed up thing about Lance Armstrong is that doping is do rampant in cycling, you can't win unless you do it too. Everyone is doing it.

I unintentionally cheated on a test once. There was one question I couldn’t quite remember the answer, I feel like I knew but I was just blanking mega hard. As I was looking around in an attempt to get my brain going, a girl was holding up the same page that the question was on and I accidentally saw her answer, and I knew it was right. So I just wrote the same

An event that I think could have made this list but probably doesn't have enough video footage is Soviet modern pentathlete Boris Onishchenko wiring his epee sword to trigger a hit without hitting his opponent in the 1976 Olympics. He got caught when two British competitors were charged with a hit against them even though no one saw them get touched.

When I was younger I, when I used to live in New Orleans and my grandfather Fred was still alive, I would cheat at checkers when I visited him at Florida. I now feel bad about it.

Avid poker player and statistician here; by what method do they think Robbie cheated? Counting cards? A secret informant? Bad beats are statistically unlikely but do happen occasionally.

Yeah I wish they would have explained how he accused her of cheating. Maybe she had an extra Jack pocketed and swapped it? Seems a camera would have picked that up though. Very suspicious she gave the money back, I'm curious who administered the polygraph. I'm trying to Google more info

She was given the polygraph by a third party and took it live on a stream and passed and there has been zero proof that has surfaced that she cheated on any way Ironically an investigation showed an employee stealing 5k in chips from her pile when the event cameras were turned off but not the casino cameras I haven't found an article confirming she returned the winnings to the accuser either. It may have happened, just saying I having found anything saying it yet

@@stevekombolis3542 TBF people put way too much stock in polygraph tests anyway. Well I should say some people do. There is a good reason they aren't admissible in Court. I totally agree it would be interesting to know what the accusation stems from. I mean if they want to put it on the list of worst scandals then it should at least be known HOW it happened(the rest were pretty clear what the cheating was supposed to be, or you could look up the whole story of what was supposed to have happened without any effort).

Agreed. There's no explanation of cheating, only an accusation of cheating. If she did cheat, how was it done? Saying she "somehow beat his hand" doesn't really cover it, I think. The same approach applies to the chess cheating - no explanation for how it was done, only an accusation.

@@GardnerLepp The Chess Cheating scandal one was I believe proven by doing the exact same moves on chess strategy computer programs and got the same results. Plus, I believe, he did a move that a professional chess player would not do at the beginning of the match, hence the allegation of cheating.

Weird thing...just last weekend I woke up early and caught highlights of the last fishing tournament in fl...my husband told me how easy it would be to cheat at fishing....just stuff the fish with weights.. Go figure I remember how disappointed I was that Lance Armstrong cheated...he brought a lot of different people to be interested in cycling...I was an older teenager when that happened, and I still remember the disappointment

I remember when the fishing video first appeared on Reddit. I believe the subreddit was r/WatchPeopleDieInside, and at first I thought that the participants were overreacting until I learned that this bozo earned $300K+ all through cheating. The fact that he pled not guilty boggles my mind.

The Black Sox were guilty. Unfortunately the film Eight Men Out made excuses for the players that were untrue. Some clains so blatantly wrong that they can be disproved by merely looking at MLB stats. E.g. The claim that Eddie Cicotte was benched to avoid paying him a $10K bonus for winning 30 games is absured. Kid Gleason gave Cicotte four more starts after Cicotte had already won 29 games. Also because of the court trial we have a copy of Cicotte's contract. There is no mention of any promise of a bonus, whereas Bucky and Shoeless Joe both had possible bonuses written into their contracts.

Although I never followed pro cycling, I long thought Armstrong was inspirational. So when his doping came to light I was deeply disappointed. The fact that he still says he would do it all over again just proves that his permanent ban is fully justified.

The reason it was called the Black Sox scandal had nothing to do with the scandal itself. They were nicknamed the Black Sox because their owner, Charles Comiskey refused to pay to have their uniforms washed. Stating the players should pay for it themselves. In protest, they refused to wash their gear and their socks became almost black. Also their star pitcher was benched after his 29th win because he was promised a bonus if he won 30. Yeah, Charles Comiskey was a cheap piece of garbage. If he wasn't, the team wouldn't have thrown the series. Also, Kennesaw Mountain Landis, the self appointed Commissioner of Baseball was such a piece of garbage and racist that baseball wasn't integrated until 2 years after he died.
