If you use the night flyer with amara’s infusion skill, you can actually kill things with it. I made a video about this effect on my channel if you want a more detailed explanation on it. Also the long musket isn’t meant to be used for reload damage, but rather in a conventional way, similar to a shotgun.

I disagree with some of these. I have a Zane build centered around the night flyer and it completely shreds for me. And long musket is really good for mobbing if used right (I’ve been able to effectively use it on Zane)

The reload mechanics were meant to not be thrown directly at enemy’s rather like booby traps hahaha

In the next few years he is going to redux this list.

I like the night flyer for one reason. It can aid in helping friends get their second wind. Many times I've tried to help my GF get her second wind only to steal the kill and resulting in her demise. Leaving the enemy at 1 hp can benefit team members who go down. Other than that the only other use for the night flyer is completing challenges like killing an enemy with a slide, slam or melee.

The night flyer is great on Moze tho because she adds fire damage to it so it will kill enemies with the dot

The Long Musket and the Night Flyer are both amazing guns. The Musket can pretty much melt anything and the Night Flyer is insanely good with Moze using the Hex grenade, just throw a bunch of Hexes and they with kill the enemy the second you get them to 1 hp.

Its funny that you rate the Night Flyer so low and use it specially with Zane who can abuse that pistol with his drone. I kinda disagree with this one, Night Flyer is a really good pistol for me.

Dude when I found the Musket around week 2 after the game was released, it was seriously overpowered. You don't throw it directly at enemies, you toss on the ground or wall near them. The seeking range is long and the burning effect does (did) TONS of damage when rushing at enemies. That plus the reloaded gun melted most everything in seconds.

Nightflyer is perfect for loot/hoarder tink grinding since you can't kill it

Night flyer actually does some pretty good damage if you have another automatic source of damage like a sentry drone. Or the overkill guardian skill. Eh? Night flyer. Fade away monocle one shot. Second shot for massive damage.

I can't put into words just how painful it is to watch someone throw the Long Musket directly at mobs ... you lose out on a ton of damage. Throw it next to them, they get burned for a pretty big chunk and then they jump up for the explosion damage but you never, ever, throw it at them directly.

I love your great vids but the long musket seriously it melts everything and is godly with most builds.

The Long Musket is good.

The Long Musket is pretty awesome, if you use it as a weapon instead of relying of the reload damage. The Night Flyer will not be buffed to kill an enemy since it's an hommage to Batman and Batman doesn't kill.

The TK wave is rediciously powerful. It's very strong and I've been using it on moze and Amara to farm bosses like Tyreen and The Rampager. It's stupid strong against big crit spots.

You are not supposed to shot Tediore weapons like a regular gun... You are supposed to shot once and then chuck it like a piece of moldy bread... Because there is the strenght of a Tediore weapon...

The Long Musket especially in a incendiary Moze build is amazing. It melts enemies even in Mayhem 3. You can clear rooms with it

The only good use for the Tunguska in Borderlands 2 were to take out the leviathan without having to kill the sand worm queens. Its definitely not bad for damage, but close range kills...... you

The nightflyer effect is for the challenges in slaughter when u have to melee enemies as a bonus mission for mayhem 3

Long Musket is hands down my favorite Legendary that I found. Mine is 20 levels below me and I STILL use it. Do NOT throw it directly at the enemy. Throw it at the ground and let it set your enemies on fire while you set other enemies on fire. Love your videos but you are using the Long Musket wrong, good sir.

With the Long Musket, you're not supposed to throw it at enemies, you're supposed to toss it at the ground or wall. This isn't BL2 anymore.

Protip, The Long Musket is designed to be thrown away from your enemy, they'll scram across the floor burning the target before finally exploding upon reaching it. Also, The Night Flyer has the best synergies on Amara and Zane. Amara can inflict DoTs with it resulting in it killing enemies and Zane has the Static Field drone augment which will easily kill off the 1hp guys left over making the gun super efficient due to its high base damage.

Hey Puma, loving the vids man, but I got a question: ever considered doing vids focused on a single weapon, with in depth analysis of its effects, variants, best and worst parts, bullet behavior, hidden effects, so on and so forth?. Kinda like how Man of Low Moral Fiber (his name is Luke) used to do?. As much as I enjoy the lists, a more extensive list of uniques and legendaries would be a welcome addition. More for making fun builds over min maxing for the hardest difficulties. Just a thought.

I liked the Storm in BL2, in certain situations. That's why I keep carrying one around in BL3, even though every time I use it I end up getting annoyed and switching to something that doesn't make me wait so long before firing that my enemy has either moved or died of natural causes.

Everyone's complaining about you putting the Long Musket in here, but the Night Flyer is great if you use elemental Amara, it has really high damage, then once it gets them to 1 HP, the elemental damage takes them out

The Lob has a second projectile mode that detonates the orb exactly where you want it. So you don’t have to be at the perfect distance or hit a hard surface. This added effect still doesn’t make the damage any better, but it does make it waay easier to use than shown here.

A mitosis hunter seeker in fire can melt Tyreen and Troy with one or two grenades if you hit them directly.

The night flyer will stay the same always. It's a reference to batman. The red text says "I have one rule." Which is a what batman said when he stated he will never kill. That's why the targets will always have 1 health. Not changing never will. It's just a fun gun.

I think it shows how awesome the weapons are in this game that I legitimately enjoy using the number 1 gun on here (The Lob) on Zane. A bunch of weapons need just a lil bit of love, but overall the balancing is really good, and that just makes me happy lolol :D

The long musket tends to be an amazing gun when used like a gun. Also the hunter seeker was buffed recently and it can be quite powerful. I use it with a rakk fl4k build and the grenades can pretty much do the mobbing for me

The night flyer is really good on amara imo

The lob is absolutely broken if you know how to use it right. I had a snowdrift artifact + speed skills on Zane so that as soon as I get a kill, I can zip around the battlefield with ease. Using a corrosive lob, I can dispatch entire waves of bots in the handsome jackpot dlc by running around extremely fast and one shotting everything I see. By jumping and pointing at a downwards diagonal angle, you can maximize the time the orb passes through enemies, dealing maximum damage. I’ve noticed that a lot of these rankings of guns are based off of a player just kinda walking around aimlessly pointing and clicking, instead of actually taking into consideration it’s capabilities when paired with other good items or it’s applications with good gameplay. TL;DR Rankings are inaccurate imo because they only take the raw, unoptimized snapshot of a what a gun has to offer.

Hunter seeker may not be too terrible for Zane considering he can get grenade regen from kills and his sntl and clone can both spawn them for free passively. So since he may not be using most grenades since he has no control over them anyway hunter seeker might be actually decent there. Gonna experiment with it a bit if I get one.

I found the night flyer really good with Amara. She has almost 100% damage ovee time effect and the high base damage made it pretty good

The Batarang and Nimble Jack have been the two worst legendaries I’ve used so far

The Night Flyer might not be able to kill enemies. However it makes up for it with increased damage. As long as you're using abilities that cause status effect damage, this small issue won't be a problem.

The Bearcat is a monster on my Moze if I spec into demolition woman and bottomless mags. I can never run out of ammo because crits=+10% mag per second (class mod gives me 2/1 requisition), constant 5% mag per second on capstone, infinite ammo when jumping out of Iron Bear (use action skill only for 5 secs of inf ammo), plus a Hex grenade and skills in demolition woman to give ammo/nades back. Absolute monster build
