Gray Matter Master of Disguise was produced by Happy Madison Productions, a film company created by Adam Sandler. As for his... choices in cinematography in the 2000s, most of them were quite mediocre. They didn’t achieve Happy Gilmore levels of popularity but neither did they get Jack and Jill(2010) levels of infamousness. They only managed to offend various people. Not that I am defending Sandler or anything.

I actually enjoyed CatWoman as a kid. Halle Berry was one of my favorite actresses when I was young since I saw her in X-Men, CatWoman, Gothika, etc. Her and Charlize Theron are amazing.

My family has a contest involving who can rent the worst horror film. The key is that we can't intentionally choose something awful; there has to be some hope that it will be good. These people have NO IDEA just how bad movies can be.

Technically, decades end in years that end in 0, not 9. That's because there's no year 0. So, 2010 was technically the last year in the "naughts".

All I'm saying is that the "all decades end in years that end in a 9" belief means that the first decade AD would only have 9 years since there's no year 0. Since decades have 10 years, that means the last year of the first decade was 10 AD. That means all decades AD would have to end in years that end in a 0.

I'd have to go with The Last Airbender. While both movies suffer from very similar problems (bad acting, horrible writing, don't really follow the source material), the one that kills TLA is that there is absolutely no emotion in it. With DGE, it at least looks like the actors are trying to convey some sort of emotion, and it does feel like there was at least some (albeit very little) passion put into it. With TLA, the actors are emotionless and there is absolutely no sense of fun, which makes it even worse considering how the characters were in the show (especially Aang, who was fun loving and happy, but also mature and responsible in the show, but completely dull in the movie) and it overall feels like the movie has no heart or soul behind it, while the show thrived because of the hard work and dedication that numerous people put into it.

Fun fact: I rented "Battlefield Earth" at the videostore back in 2001-ish. Watched the first 20 minutes and decided it was the worst movie I ever saw (the first 20 minutes of). Forgot all about it and found it in the "mancave" 3 months later and brought it back to the rental. Luckily I knew the girl behind the counter and she cut me an acceptable deal for the overdue :-)

3:40-3:43 no. The problem wasn't adapting it. The problem was putting a lot of guys who didn't read the manga or watched the anime. If i were a filmmaker and i were making a live action DB movie, i would do it well. With a) good script, b) very high budget, c) people who reads the manga nad watches the anime, and d) asian actors, that would be the first live action anime film to be well recieved by critics and public.

I heard they couldn't make Battlefield Earth unless the script dialog was word for word from the book. Book dialog is much different than screen and made them sound weird.

I was 6 when I came to this country. One of the first movies I'd ever seen was the son of the mask. I use to imagine the dialogue in my head. To say the least I had a wild imagination because I enjoyed the movie before I knew a lick of English.
