Let's be honest here, a huge number of pyro type monsters are bad, so to make a list with only 10 bad cards might give some people the impression that this type isn't that bad. (There are 116 pyro type monsters overall, and 15% are normal type monsters). There is a reason why I started this countdown in the first place, and that is to raise the awarness of how bad pyro types are. Day 286 of waiting for new Volcanic support to arrive

Helios doesn't say "your," meaning it counts all banished monsters, which includes your opponent's. Gren Maju doesn't do that. Still a bad card, but not strictly worse as you seemed to describe it.

It's worth mentioning that Laval Stennon's "negative" effect of discarding a card can be beneficial in a Laval deck.

We can only hope they give Pyro the same treatment they did Dinos and Thunder.

The point of Laval Stennons first effect is to set up for it's second effect since Laval decks are supposed to send Laval's to the graveyard

I feel like the equip cards that were meant to bring out the Guardian monsters (ex: Grarl, Elma, Kay'est, etc) are better than the actual monsters themselves.

I remember Dragon Capture Jar and Dragon Piper being actually better in the anime. A shame they're trash in the actual game. Also, I'm pretty sure Elemental Hero Inferno only saw play with Manga Jaden against Alexis and her ice counter deck.

Interestingly Laval Stennon was really good in Duel Links for a hot minute. Also Master Craftsman Gamil is actually not half bad in speed duels.

Not to mention if you use Burning Algae in synch with Dark Nurse Reficule to reverse that into burn damage, but Burning Algae doesn't need to be on the field to use its effect considering if you have more than 1 in your hand.

How about "Top 10 best level/rank 12 monsters"? Because it is very rare that a monster level/rank is beyond 10.

Some other humor about dragon piper is that it's a lvl 3 monster with under 500 attack, allowing for some synchro plays with debris dragon. Needless to say, not very good, but it's attack is actually it's better attribute.

Funny how Dragon Piper and Dragon Capture Jar's TCG effect differ from their anime effects. Since Dragon Capture Jar(as the name implies) captured Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon, then Dragon Piper took control of it. So it was essentially, 1 card to steal a monster, and another one to take control of it.

In the first couple of formats of the game people were teching Dragon Capture Jar to beat the Blue Eyes White Dragon beat down decks so the beatdown decks played Dragon Piper to counter that strategy.

the number 10 has synergy with megamorph though. also back when Self-Destruct Button wasn't banned, that algae was highly used. set that triple upstart, and gift card just to get that 7k difference.

Disagree with Stenon's inclusion, I mean, sure you need to send a card to the GY, but laval decks revolve around the graveyard anyway. It's an effect that is technically a minus on any other archetype, but is helpful within the intended context.

Dragon Piper and Capture Jar were a bit more interesting in Duelist Kingdom, where Capture Jar basically banished any Dragon type monsters on the field, whereas Piper would then destroy Capture Jar and then Pegasus would gain control of any monster that was "captured" with this effect. Truth be told, I would be really interested in seeing a retrain of these cards with effects like that, with Piper just getting the effect off of any summon or something (hell, given how popular Dragons are, it might see play as an engine to combat Dragon decks if/when they'll be top tier again). Throw in a retrain of that Illusionist Faceless Mage that Pegasus used in that first duel as well and that sounds like the basis of an interesting archetype based on some of those Duelist Kingdom cards/effects that just sorta happened, like Attack The Moon.

I'd argue Laval Stennon isn't really that bad. The discard effect is meant to allow you to get a laval card to the graveyard so you can use his effect easier while a card like Cannon can be used to retrieve that banished card back to go into more plays turning the disadvantage of discarding into combo potential. It's kind of contrived but that's the kind of play that the designers probably imagined when creating the card.

Dragon Piper's anime effect was way better. Given that it gave the controller of Dragon Piper the ability to steal the opponent's Dragon-type monsters. It still needed you to have Dragon Capture Jar to use it, though.

To use always elemental hero inferno's effect you can use ADN transplant and choose water attribute and each time that he battles he will gain 1000 atk. And you will fusion summon e hero absolute zero easier 😁👍

Shooting star bow ceal is used in Duel Links to farm decks with spell book cards.

The example of an opponent being able to negate Invasion of Flames normal summon is funny, since it implies there's a situation somewhere, sometime, that had someone Solemning a got-damned Invasion of Flames.

in your best pyro monster video you forgot 1 of the older cards that can lock your opponent out of attacking and that's Solar Flare Dragon this card cannot be targeted for an attack if there's another pyro on the field and it has the extra burn damage of 500 so if you have 2 it becomes impossible to attack them and you deal 1K burn damage each time it's effect happens

Invasion of flames could be good if its effect got a ruling/errata that successfully summoning it 'permanently' prevents the use of all trap cards from that point onward.

There is Helios trice. But don't forget unlike other cards, the three cards get attack boosts from both player removed from play monsters. I found it more useful in a chaos deck that focuses on removing all your enemies monsters using cards like BLS

I always expect videos about the best cards of each types more than the worst cards.

Worse thing about Dragon Piper is that in the anime and manga it allowed you to take control of all Dragon monsters that were affected by Dragon Capture jar, so it was more of a combo piece to it. But in the TCG they made it be a counter for it which is the complete opposite.

To be fair, Dragon Piper is from one of the very first sets of cards released, a time when there were not a lot of ways to deal with back row.

Hey hey hey, volcanic blaster was a 3 of in my volcanics deck on duel links. (Primarily because of lack of better options at the time. But it beat out other volcanics!) It would get me to rocket. This deck got me to Platinum! So no hatin on blaster. He put in good work fixing my bricky hands (when setting a monster turn one on duel links was a viable turn one play 😂)

Laval Stennon was actually the most important card in a Laval meta deck in Duel Links, that got 5th-8th place in a tournament that is Duel Link’s equivalence to a YCS

Laval Stennon was great back when the Laval Quasar decks were a thing. If you could pull quasar on turn 1, you still had a boss monster. Plust Laval get effects when sent to the graveyard. Too bad the ruling change about timing and such no longer allows for it

For the longest time I thought Laval Stennon's chest armor was its head because its actual head is pretty small compared to the rest of its body. I didn't realize this until now. Also no "love" for King Pyron? Its a level 5 Gemini which is already bad already but it has really low stats and only inflicts 1000 burn if it gets its effect. Its a disgrace to the actual Pyron of Darkstalkers fame.
