Cassandra I know, right? Batman cradled his dead body and had him buried. He was revived by...ugh...Superboy Prime punching reality. It caused the Jason Todd corpse to swap out with the Jason Todd that survived the attack (as shown when a side by side is shown in a panel, one where Batman is sadly hold Jason's body, the other crying out, "There's a pulse, thank god!"

+Nex S Nope, he died for real and was brought back to life some years later because this whole thing with Superboy Prime messing up reality. He woke up in his coffin and dug out, but still had all the same injuries from the crowbar and explosion and he was brain damaged because of the hits he took to his head. Talia found him homeless in the streets of Gotham and the Lazarus Pit healed his brain damage.

Exactly. The Joker in Suicide Squad, who "cares" for Quinn, that's not the real Joker. As Batman said, the Joker doesn't care about anyone except himself. I'm pretty sure the reason why they didn't show the real comic book Joker that abuses Harley is because to many people who didn't even see the movie would bitch and moan about the movie getting ideas from the source material.

The reason that Death in the Family should be #1 isn't only because of beating and killing Jason imo. It's how he captured Jason that makes it worse. He tracked down Jason's biological mother, blackmailed her, and used her as bait to capture Jason. Then, not only that. He killed his mother along with Jason. Watchmojo forgot to mention all that. That's why it's #1 for me.

Don't forget that one story where he actually planned it for years when Jason was a child. How Joker elaborately planned on getting Batman to adopt a child to train him into Robin and then kill him years later. That was the New 52 reboot I believe, but both reboot and original involve Joker killing Todd and traumatizing Batman for failing to save him, resulting in Batman working alone as he doesn't want to put others in danger. It takes years for Batman to finally take in another apprentice after being persuaded by Dick and Alfred that he can't always work alone and sometimes he needs an ally to assist him on the battlefield

But the problem is that killing Joker is legal when the law does it by execution and that doesnt happen becasue of the insanity plea. They waste time trying to reform him. No one is gonna prove that he isnt insane or put him in a more secure mental facility. Thats the Jokers biggest and funniest joke. The Law.

@@duncananderson2113 Tbf, the more simple and less glamorous answer is that Joker is too popular to die (I think I've heard that there's even a meta moment in the comics where Joker himself says the editors keep him in, but I can't remember which comic it was, or if that's just me having a mandala effect memory). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Part of me wonders if the Joker immunity trope has even made Death of the Endless impatient for Joker to die (and that is a god-tier feat)! 0_0

GD Diggy a month later and after seeing the movie, this statement doesn’t really reflect how the movie portrays joker. Arthur fleck was already fucked up in the head. I think heath ledger’s joker put it best when he said that madness is like gravity, all it takes is one little push.

Going into this I already knew The Killing Joke and death of Jason Todd were gonna be in the top two. I really wasn't sure which would be worse. Torturing Jason and leaving him for dead or paralyzing Barbara and showing Jim photos of his daughter bleeding out and in a state of undress.

You forgot the God Emperor Joker storyline! lemme explain Mr Imp was going to give Joker 1%of his power but Joker tricked him into giving him 99% of his powers and he than goes to alter the entire universe to his will, torture Bateman by killing and reviving him, and making new villains, and making the current heros powers useless. Essentially he became a god.

If no one has already, i totally recomend reading The Killing Joke novel. It dives even deeper to the comic and the ending definetly clears up a few questions from the comic's ending. It really is worth reading

I fucking love the Joker. Very few villains can outshine their superhero nemesis. He's not one of those typical villains with a mastermind plan and an end goal, he just does things because he can. "I'm like a dog chasing cars, I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it". The Joker is literally the best super villain of all time.

In Death in a family Joker took over Arkham, made Batman go running around Gotham like a guinea pig, kidnapped his family for a meal, trick them to eating a replica of their own faces, thus making Batman get upset, only for it to be a Big Joke at the end. I'm Surprise WatchMojo didn't do the EndGame storyline which is more horrible than what Joker in TDKR part II did.

Exactly, I'm newer to reading comics involving the Joker but the Killing Joke is definitely one I have read, as soon as I didn't see it on this list I was like oh jeez what has he done worse than that? And of course, all the abuse to Harley (like I said I'm newer to getting all of his backstories) and I've mostly just watched the movies the Batman with Jack Nicholson, the Batman series with Christian Bale, some of the animated Batman series and of course, the Dark Knight with Heath Ledger
