I have now updated my Top 100 MTB Trail list, including 14 new trails from my rides during 2023. I have now ridden 1,500 MTB trails all over western North America - including all levels of trails, from easy, scenic beginner trails to scary, sketchy, ledgy steep, double black diamond descents! So, there are trails within this recommended list for every type of MTB rider. If you want to see more of this list, and maybe other trails I may have ridden in your own backyard, you can click on the link to my website further down below.

I definitely need to get out west, but next time snow is covering (most?) of these trails, go EAST, young man ! ! AR, AL, TN, GA, NC, SC, and even FL have awesome winter riding!

Yes, most of the west has snow except coastal California or Arizona…where I am presently! But I definitely need to plan a swing eastwards! Thanks for watching!

Next time you come through Arizona make sure to stop in Kingman to ride the very new-ish White Cliffs Trail System. You will really enjoy it I promise!

Yes, I have discovered the White Cliffs but yet to ride them. Hopefully next autumn on my next trip south! Thanks for the advice!

Hey Ron, do you ever get out to Cumberland. Would be interested in your top picks. I am heading there in August. Cheers Steve

Yes, I have been to Cumberland and the trails are awesome! Very well built and maintained...they do a great job! Cumberland also has a pretty cool small town vibe so check out the craft brewery right on the main street in town. I've got three videos on the trails there. Just search for Cumberland on my KZfaq channel and they should pop up. But, FYI, the sequence involving Thirsty Beaver and Crafty Butcher is pretty cool. But look at the videos because there are more great trails!

Oh wow. I think you only have one CA trail on there out of 100. How come? I would have imagined with that scenary CA has to offer that it would have to be more.

I admit that I need to ride in California much more and I am planning to do so. But, when you've discovered Utah and Arizona, it is hard not to go back there repeatedly. As a case in point, check out my recent video for "The Golden Triangle of Mountain Biking". But, during the past year I've ridden in Lake Tahoe, Downieville, Nevada City, Fairfax, Malibu and Santa Ana. I also have a number of future rides for CA on my bucket list, but I also need to coordinate these trips with other new trails I am also planning for Las Vegas and Oregon etc.

@@ronsanderson99 I'll check it out. Also really want to see Downieville. I have heard people say that it's the new Moab. That area by Bend, Oregon I have also heard amazing things about.

@@Jose-sy1je Downieville is very good, but it's not Moab...and Bend is great if you like flowy, bermy trails through a forest, but there are few steep technical trails. Depends upon what you like.
