2016 Spyder RT-S here. Bought it brand new in March 2017. Changed out the OEM head and fog lights to LEDs. Also added LEDs for turn and brake lights on the rear trunk for better visibility. The biggest add on was the Pedal Commander which I just added after all these years. It put the thrill back into riding my Spyder. Wish I'd done it sooner. Everything else on the Spyder is acceptable to me. For the record, I have 54,000 miles on it and one west coast to east coast ride so far. No regrets going from my Goldwing to the Spyder which was necessary due to physical limitations. I did not want to give up the sense of freedom when riding "cageless ". Ride on, fellow Spyders!!

I picked up the H&R Pro sway bar for my first upgrade on my 2022 RT Limited. It truly is a game changer. Great increase in stability and feel of safety.

@@MartinTheVlogger I love the sporty stance on F3 , however the RT to me, It’s a little bit more luxury as it relates to cruising. I will not be doing extensive long-distance traveling but it could possibly come up from time to time, with that being said it’s just a hard decision. I just wish they had something that was in between, a real sporty stance and you can get down on it when you wanted to and that luxury ride, have any suggestions?

@@pepeschley143 that is what i need to do for my tour and rental agency and therefore i go with F3 limited. Comfort and style. Still kind of sporty, but its not a bus. Top case its a must for longer rides as side bags are joke. And you can remove the top case and put a cover there if you dont rYde longer roads. Rear suspension is with "pillow" so softer than stock F3.

For my 2016 art Limited I have upgrades the headlights/fog lights to LEDs, changed out the lights/reflectors on the fenders to the LEDs lights/turn signals, added in the extra LED lights/turn signals to the back of bike, put in several under-glow lights to the bottom, and changed out the stock sway bar for a BajaRon one for better handling.

do you have a preference about oil when changing oil ? My F3 is pretty new - it's just getting near 500 miles now. I've been told to take it to a shop at 650 and that they will likely change the oil but they charge $150USD for the oil change. I'd rather go to the K&N at that point and change the oil myself but am concerned about which oil to run (full synth, half synth, straight oil) ...

Hi buddy. I would not do anything crazy about the oil. In US Lamonster garage has a good oil together with highflow oil filter. Or you can buy full kit from BRP. Dont do anything else i recomend. www.martinthevlogger.com/post/canam-spyder-oil-change-made-easy-howto-rotax-1330-maintanace

Hi Martin. if I fit the cat buster exhaust mod to cut out the cat and improve performance on the F3 S would I fail the MOT on emissions? I was hoping it would be okay and I would not have to swap it back just to satisfy the test conditon?

Hi once ypu remove the Catalitic convertor you wont pass MOT... but in most of EU countries our MOT for motorcycles is still not part of the test 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

During active driving in corners, the "nanny" will kick in to fast. Will a better sway bar help to keep the "nanny" away for longer? (F3)

Yes, it will help as your wheels will not slide so much. Your wheel will not raise so much. But there is bigger alchemy to this. Also having right tire pressure helps a lot.. but yes swaybar is one of tge helps

H&R springs? They don't list BRP or Can Am... Which ones did you purchase for your Rykers?

H&R its german brand making a lot of products for racing cars and motorbikes. Can Am has discontinued upgraded shocks like fox 1.5 etc.. more info you can find here but i have both options in my Rykers. H&T for 600/900 as one ryker is 900 version and I have H&R for rally version www.martinthevlogger.com/shocks-springs-swaybars-canam-ryker-wilbers-yss
