I agree with the other person that replied but I can see why they messed up because MJ is most of the Mary Jane. I have watched the MCU Spiderman movies the first one I don't know how many times I still have trouble getting used to Zandaya's MJ not being Mary Jane.

There is a theory that the reason he wasn’t “worthy” and couldn’t wield mlojnr in Avengers 2 was because he found out in CA2: Winter Soldier but was keeping it secret from Tony.

The fact Bucky was horribly brainwashed to do these things and Iron Man is still willingly to kill Bucky, shows how terrible a person he was, and the cause for many of the MCUs biggest issues. Then he has the audacity to blame Cap for “not being there” 😂

⁠⁠@@rioncurtis7211 Yes he should have the audacity to blame Steve, because Steve had the audacity to lecture Tony about people need to be honest, while he literally kept the secret about Tony’s parents’ death. Steve Rogers was a hypocrite who lied when it suited him. Bucky being brainwashed doesn’t change the emotional reality of what Tony feels having to watch his parents be murdered on that video tape. It was still Bucky’s hands who did it, who choked the life out of his mother. Saying someone is a horrible person because they are reacting to understandable trauma is ridiculous, though I guess expected from people who’ve never been through something like this and just thinks themselves better and superior.

The Elijah Price reveal is still heartbreaking, no matter how many times it has been seen. And then the "They called me Mr. Glass" line makes him even more sympathetic, because children can be real villains themselves...

The best bit to me about the Spiderman scene with Michael Keaton was that despite how chilling and intimidating he was, and how tense a scene it was, Peter wasn't even considering stopping for a second. As soon as he's out the car he's back in action. Course I guess Vulture doesn't know at this point how fast and strong Spiderman is, and that the threat itself is pretty laughable, but still.

A point about picking Dent was said in the movie that it wasn’t down to The Joker switching them, but instead, Batman and the officers making a combined decision to rescue Dent over Rachel. The twist still works perfectly, as the entire scene plays as if Batman saves Rachel and Dent lives to become Two-Face, but instead, flips that on its head for one of the most believable origins to the Two-Face antagonist ever written. The Dark Knight as a whole, is a masterpiece in superhero storytelling.

Joker knew that Batman would choose to save Rachel over Harvey, having exploited Batman's weakness when he threw Rachel off the building, and Batman saving her. He also wanted to break Batman emotionally (other than break Harvey mentally), maybe he figured out that Batman and Rachel were acquainted.

I think the Russo brothers - the directors - said in an interview that Cap was surprised, but the exchange was civil, since the Red Skull had abandoned his dreams of conquest decades ago, and was content to play his role in Vormir.

It's a very interesting list, though I must say that it lacks one of the biggest plot twist in this genre. "Split" ending scene with Bruce Willis, which reveals that the film is actually a sequel to "Unbreakable" 17 years after its release is mind-blowing. Which shouldn't surprise by now, when it comes to films written & directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

I'm pretty sure it's revealed that Bucky killed Tony's parents in The Winter Soldier when Cap and Nat found out Hydra was in SHIELD when the news headlines were flashing on screen.

It's revealed, or at least implied that it is Hydra in a clip we actually see in this video, and given his role in the film, Winter Soldier is a likely culprit, but we don't get confirmation until Tony does.

I was too distracted by the movie being a lesser imitation of Captain America: The First Avenger, but I digress. In theory, they could have still had their epic climactic battle, but don't have Ares in disguise on one of the sides. Have him show up at the end; have it so that they Diana is escorting the diplomats on the way to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles - Ares tries to stop it, he is super charged from the war, so Diana is on her backfoot; then the war ends, Diana beats him, and he flees back to Olympus a la Claw, "next time, Diana! NEXT TIME!!"

I knew about the plot twist in Superman Returns. The few times I watched it, my dad & I talked about it. Between Jason pushing the piano and the kryptonite. We kept saying it's Superman aka Clark's son. When I went to see Guardians Vol. 2, that was a shocker. Same with Spiderman Homecoming and Far From Home.

Pretty cool list. It's supprising Jason is Superman's son. Haven't seen the movie but. Supprising. Also when Charles spoke to clone. Joker did brilliant switch. Even more shocking is Rachel's death. Brilliant move. Number 1 is pretty shocking. Shield is Hydra. Unbelievable. It's like Palpatine,Jedi and the Republic. Great list :)

13:33 LOL I learned the Power of Forgiveness while watching Spiderman: Homecoming. They changed EVERYBODY in the film, except Peter and the Vulture. They changed the races of characters and made NED LEEDS Pete's best-friend. But, the payoff of the VULTURE being Liz's dad was too priceless to complain that this fact in the movie steers far from the comics. The movie was so good (& the fact that there is a Spiderverse), allowed the filmmaker and screenwriters to change everything from FLASH THOMPSON's physique to BETTY BRANDT's age! If the movie were not such a good story, all the changes they made would have been pointed-out by the fans as reasons the film failed. Yet, it didn't.

In “The Batman”, the reveal that Bruce’s father’s association with the mob inadvertently created The Riddler, as well as the revelation that The Riddler planted bombs along Gotham’s dam were major twists I didn’t see coming

Thanks for uploading this. Wanna know what’s funny? Right now in Vancouver TransLink, Vancouver’s public transit company, is selling fare cards with DC superheroes on them. TransLink uses the Compass Card system in which the money you use for the fare is stored on a kind of credit card that you tap against the validator to pay the fare when boarding a bus. For the SkyTrain, the Compass Card is used to open the fare gates and allow access to the station platforms and in the past they’ve experimented with Magic Band-like wristbands and even miniature models of SkyTrain cars with the same RFID technology as the Compass Card and now they’ve partnered with DC Comics to include cards with their most famous superheroes on them. Who wouldn’t want a Compass Card with Batman on it!

I'm surprised Thanos making the Snap didn't get on the list. We all expected the Avengers to pull out a win- good guys win, bad guys lose, standard formula. Instead we ended that film with half the cast dead, and the villain victorious.

The biggest twist of the Dark Knight, if you watch MatPat's theories, is that the Joker is actually Gotham's true hero. Sure, he murdered innocent Rachel and destroyed Harvey's life, but above all, his plan was strategic and brilliant in a way that only the Joker can be. His methods were awful, but Batman's failure as a hero was even more impactful. If Batman were actually successful as a hero, Gotham wouldn't have been safe, but Joker planned everything in a way that arguably saved Gotham itself from its own internal corruption. If you don't know what I mean, check out MatPat's theory on how Joker saved Gotham, and you'll see why. Rachel's death was cruel, but the cruelest twist of all is that her murderer saved Gotham City without us ever realizing it..

I'll call out the animated Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay. And I think it's such an amazing twist that I'm actually going to avoid spoiling it. Only hit "Read More" if you're okay with spoilers Alright then. Movie has plenty of twists and turns, starting with when the Squad realizes their main problem on the mission to recover a magical "Get out of Hell" card is the Flash Villain, Zoom. He's quite desperate to get his hands on the card, and would normally be powerful enough to kill the entire Suicide Squad in a few seconds. Only in the last moments of the film does he take off his mask and reveals that he's The Exact Same Character from the previous Flashpoint movie, that ended with an alternate Batman shooting him in the head. He still has the lethal wound, but is using his powers of time and speed to stretch out the last moments of his alternate dimension death, which explains why he needs the card so badly.

Seeing all these films makes me love and admire the cbm genre even more. I understand and accept most comic book adaptations are very divisive now, but I still appreciate the ppl behind these projects for still bringing these characters to life. That’s why I try not to be so hard on the genre because there’s something for everyone. I personally loved She-Hulk but I can understand why others hated it, I personally dislike The Flash but I can understand why some are defending it. The studios make more than enough money to pay the actors and writers what they’re demanding because if not, we won’t get anymore films like the ones in the video.

The MCU plot twists are very formulaic Is either the cool character revealing to be the villain or the thing that the hero was standing for was a lie

Yea it's hard to even call it a plot twist at this point. The real plot twist would be them not trying to shoehorn in a plot twist.

IMO, the mysterio twist was poorly done, mainly because it was obvious he would be the villain but his speech at the bar seemed to be the writers claiming “we’re so smart, nobody saw this coming”

Seen all. Top 5 from the list The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Batman for reasons of familiarity, MCU ones Black Panther and Captain America Civil War not a big fan of franchise but they would in my top 5 favourite MCU films. Weakest ones Captain Marvel and Spider-Man Far From Home.
