Interestingly, Xinjiang has basically realized mechanization. Their machines are mainly from John Deere of Maureen, Illinois. Therefore, Americans are very familiar with the development of cotton industry in Xinjiang. However, they still lie about forced labor. This is insulting the wisdom of those who support America.

It should be noted that cotton harvesting (picking) and production in China is almost completely mechanized and often robotic, and not done by hand.

India should focus on garments market , Bangladesh should thank India their garment industry is rising and exporting branded products to western countries and all over the world . It can be possible by importing cotton at cheap cost with very less transportation cost.

Don’t you think you guys didn’t try to stop exporting to us? We had 60% imported cotton from India but then India did many aggressive trade tariffs and for no reason stopped exporting cotton to us that’s why we would thought we can’t depend on India anymore and started importing cotton from African countries. India , the largest producer of cotton but still has a very very primitive method of agriculture... We still depend a lot on seasonal rains for irrigation and we r not atall mechanised... All of the stuff is done by manual labour... I'm sure India can 3x its production if we could at some point modernise our agricultural practices....

China has succeeded in producing one fourth of world's grain and feeding one fifth of world's population with less than 10 percent of world arable land. And that is only 25% of the cultivated crop. This is really impressive statistic. I doubt this can be done with manual labors. So you know China is really embracing new technology in their farming. Of course It is even more impressive that they are also spending a lot of money on infrastructures, health care and education at the same time. US use a lot of cheap labor from Mexico. But land owner profit is more important though.

Russia does not have areas suitable for growing cotton in sufficient quantities to be included in this list. To put it simply, Russia is too cold for cotton. In the USSR, cotton was grown in the southern republics: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan.
