There are a lot of great heavy metal simphony female singer but I think Floor Jansen from night wish she as the the most complete voice from classic to rock and the booommm pure metal voice !!!! Love you Floor !!!!

First of all, thank you very much for your work. I found the many lesser-known bands interesting. The well-known ones come with the algorithm. The title is misleading. It's the video creator's personal top 20 and he likes opera singers. Penumbra, Coronatus, Sirenia, Nightwish, Therion and Xandria have many singer changes and only Penumbra shows the current one. Such bands are difficult to recommend because the character of the music has changed with each singer. At a concert you get something different than what you get here. Delain changed singers after the video was released. Leaves' Eyes has a change of singer and the video shows the current one. Frozen Crown is not a symphonic, but a power metal band and a very good one. They replaced the guitarist of Cuban descent with two guitarists. So now you have three guitarists and a bassist. I wouldn't introduce After Forever for two reasons: Firstly, the band no longer exists. Active musicians who now have to make a living from it and finance their music need my money. On the other hand, they had a terrible label contract and lost the rights to their music. Others are now pocketing the money. But the singer is the most famous metal singer and therefore has to be included here. But I would show her with her current band, Nightwish. Then Nightwish would be double because Tarja was shown with a Nightwish video. If you want to see Tarja today, you have to go to a Tarja concert, which is happening today. These are also worth recommending, but many Tarja fans only accept Tarja in conjunction with Nightwish. Amberian Dawn has a change of singer and the video does not show the current one. You get a different concert. Dreams of Sanity no longer exists and no longer needs my money. I would do a separate video with After Forever. Within Temptation has the same singer, but she sings significantly differently (and better) today. The video is from the beginning of her career and she only had a few singing lessons. Since then, she has continued to improve her voice.

Nice collction. I appreciate the very early video of Nightwish. Thumbs up for Dreams of Sanity! Many bands I don't know. I would like to recommend Edenbridge, Visions of atlantis, Imperia etc.

You should check out Seven Spires if you're not familiar with them! They're not strictly symphonic metal, but that's what their baseline genre is. Adrienne Cowan's amazing with her clean and harsh vocals!

Some have gone and some have gone through a lot of change. Saw some of them live. Miss After Forever the most. Floor at her best! Tarja/ early Nightwish a gem. Epica's Simone was finest and still is. Beautiful woman with beautiful voice. What more can you get? And so lovely and gracious when I met her in person. Would also recommend Italy's Walk in Darkness and Spain's Diablus in Musica.

@@Treplo13 she isn't definitely the queen of opera, I think he meant the queen of symphonic metal, although if you are so interested, she has a DVD where she approaches classical works. I think it's called The Beauty and the Beat or something like that.

Strange that you have Per Aspera Ad Astra the Haggard cover, but not including Haggard! Along with your top 3, Leaves Eyes, Ignea, Molllust and Therion will all be in my top 10. You can also add Visions of Atlantis (Austria), Ad Infinitum (Switzerland), Exit Eden (USA), Evanescence (USA) and Arch Enemy (Sweden), although thay can also be discribed as Death Metal. Molllust, fronted by Haggard soprano front woman Janika Gross, could be operatic metal, which for me is about the same as symphonic and melodic metal. Any way, a good list. Pleasantly surprised to see Ignea (my profile picture was taken with Helle Bogdanova, the lead singer and Evgeny Zhytniuk, the band leader in Kyiv August 2021 :-)

That nightwish video is hilarious but so not even close to what the band became. I'm a fan of Epica but Nightwish of the same era is on a slightly higher level.

i like epica better. I don't know why, but I never really seemed to like nightwish. nightwish is a very talented band, but I just never got into their music.

@@PotatoSeeds2.0 To each their own. First saw Nightwish in 2012 with Annette and was not interested - didn't watch them again until 2021. Ironically, discovering Nightwish again led to Epica and all the other European symphonic metal bands.

Floor Jansen The Best. A melhor de todas que já ouvi é a Floor Jansen, não tem comparação. Gostava mais quando estava no After Forever, mas ainda curti quando foi para o nightwish. Ela canta com a alma.

Great list, I was not aware of a few of them but they are really good. Props on early Nightwish, would like to have seen some later as well. They are on such a higher level than the old stuff but both deserve the recognition.

Old collection. Some bands do not excist anymore (in this form). And in my opinion, some could be replaced by "In this moment" USA (Maria Brink) and "Beyond the black" Germany (Jennifer Haben.)

Fully agree with Jennifer Haben of „Beyond the black“, what a great voice and IMHO would deserve a TOP-10 ranking. Floor Jansen with After Forever is nice indeed, so is that vintage Nightwish video from 1999 with Tarja. However a recent Floor performance with Nightwish would blow everyone away. She is the queen, so unbelievable with her voice skills as well as her stage performance.

Tal vez el Nightwish actual podría ser un segundo lugar, pero el Nightwish de 🔥Tarja🔥 estaría en primer lugar, Épica quedaría en segundo, y Therion creo que quedó muy abajo, Lemuria es una obra maestra, al igual que birth of Venus ilegítima, y vovin en general Mmmmmmm.

I love female fronted metal. But I prefer the ones which pair up with male singers that actually try to sing, like ex Nightwish and Visions Of Atlantis. I don't dislike death metal, but beautiful female high pitch voice combined with a male tractor voice don't make good combination. (My own personal opinion.)

I’m the opposite. I’ve always liked the “beauty and the beast” vocal feel where the woman does the clean vocals and then the man does the growl like vocals.

@@Mysteriuminiquitatis1998 I SEE it the same way... 'beauty and the beast'. But the "feel" to me then tends to become more theatrical than musical and the contrasts in the vocals becomes too big to "seal" the song into one unit.

The Fear of the Dark as outro is fuc@ing irrelevant to that list,dude...and the Valkyrie Queen with Nightwish is nothing less than #1 since 2012....be more objective....you also forgot about great bands such Edenbridge and Dark Element....

To be honest, I will obviously listen to Russian symphonic metal, if yoiu can suggest any. I do hear a lot of, and I met the members of Ignea. Beznadziejna lista. Większą część zespołów umieszczonych w tym zestawieniu nie klasyfikuję się do kategorii metal symfoniczny. Poza tym pozycja nr 1 jest śmieszna. Epika przed Nightwish🤣. SŁAWA UKRAINIE
