The first two were better than the rest for one reason, it was because of the Weinstein's that every sequel after 2 was utter garbage. The Weinstein's stole the franchise from the Wayan's family.

Without a doubt, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" is one of the best! I watch it every year for Halloween. Vincent Price's voice cameo as the invisible man was the cherry on top! If you ever do a list of underrated horror parody movies, please include haunted Honeymoon!

Also recommended: Love at First Bite (1979), The Raven (1963), and especially, as a double feature, Evil Dead 2 (1987) and Army of Darkness (1992) (basically Evil Dead 3), both of which, I think, absolutely qualify. I'm shocked neither one made this list. Otherwise, this was quite a fun one. Several of these movies have cracked me up for years, especially Young Frankenstein. Thanks.

None of the Evil Dead films are parodies or spoofs. 2 is just a horror-comedy and AoD is just a mishmash of comedy, fantasy, and horror.

I love Scary Movie. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme due to it's witty and clever dialogue and humor, comedic moments, emotional resonance, and performance's by the cast. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍

Ok that Leslie Nielsen bit with him and the two women "no you sit, now you stand" that got me 🤣🤣🤣 I've never seen that movie, but now I want to, his movies are always hilarious, not only that but from the mind of Mel Brooks, one of my favorite Mel Brooks movies will always be Robin Hood Men In Tights though, that movie always makes me laugh from start to finish

I don't know if it counts as a spoof, but Once Bitten always made me laugh. To me, something about a vampire trying to find a virgin in 80's LA was a hilarious premise.

Thanks again! Bubba Ho-Tep is now check marked. It's actually a very good movie, with a funny premise but more poignant than I expected, and that's fine, the mix worked very well for me. On to the next. Folks, don't miss this special flick. I loved every moment.

I knew it wouldn’t be popular enough to make this list but my favorite horror parody is Hysterical (1983) starring the Hudson Brothers and a stellar supporting cast including Cindy Pickett, Richard Kiel, Julie Newmar, Bud Cort, Robert Donner, Murray Hamilton, Clint Walker, Franklyn Ajaye, Charlie Callas, Keenan Wynn, Gary Owens, John Larroquette and more! If you can find it, I highly recommend it!

Night of the Creeps is such a classic! Rented it when it came out thinking it was a straight up horror movie and laughed so much it became one of my favorites. Terror Vision has a similar comedic vibe. I think it came out around the same time.

There's a trilogy I watched a few months ago that gave me Scary Movie feels and they were called Feast. They were needlessly brutal actually funny (imo) and probably the definition of never let them know your next move. Although I don't think they'd count as parodies more so just a straight up comedic horrors.

I'd highly recommend Top of the Food Chain (1999). Dark humour (the autopsy cracks me up every time I watch it!) and gore. Tom Everett Scott is in it!

The Final Girls, Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2, Zombieland, Zombieland: Double Tap, Shaun of The Dead, Dracula: Dead and Loving It are my favorite horror parodies. Still wish that there's a sequel to The Final Girls in the works. Would've love to see Max and her friends trying to defeat Billy Murphy in the hospital and go back into the real world. And would've love to see Max's father in the sequel as well.
