The last Johnny Depp movie I recently watched was Sleepy Hallow, so I would put Ichabod Crane much higher on the list; I think he was great in that movie. My number one pic would be Ed Wood, and even though I think he was great as Captain Jack sparrow, I find that movie overall quite overrated.

Johnny won in court. Warner/Disney owes him a huge personal & public apology, at the very least. He is an amazing, hugely talented, much beloved actor, but no matter what he chooses to do with his life from here on out, he has millions of people who will support him no matter his future choices. All most of us want is for him to be safe, happy and at peace.

It gets me mad that so many people still tend to remember Johnny Depp only for his more eccentric roles, forgetting the dozens of other more serious and diverse movies he has done….where he proves beyond any reasonable doubt that he has talent in spades that lots of more famous a-list Hollywood actors can only dream of having. ❤️💖

@@dani3po Nahh I thought it was really good. People always criticise the ending because it has been done too many times, and I can agree with that, but think about when the story was originally written in 1990. The trope was very original then and just because it didn't get adapted until 14 years later, people think it's overused because movies like Fight Club and Identity came out between them. The criticism the ending gets is unjustifiable.

This weekend has consisted of back to back Johnny movies…I didn’t realise that I was a hard fan until I realised that most of my favourite films have him in it…it’s been great and I can’t wait to see him on the big screen again soon! 🙌🏾

@@binatanglaut2390 Johnny Depp never played Sherlock Holmes that was Robert Downey Junior though his version of Holmes definitely had some Jack Sparrowish eccentricities and Jack Sparrow is one of Depp’s best roles!

I have seen so many Johnny Depp movies since the 90s and I love them!! I have a mini collection at home. Up until recently I was watching Edward Scissorhands and still cry like a baby. Ed Wood was funny as hell and I remember just laughing at Depp and the cast and tho many probably didn’t enjoy Fear & loathing I loved it. Reading the book first was just as crazy lol but enjoyable. JDs quirky acting style is unmatched. You just have to enjoy the ride!

As a fan of the original Dark Shadows: Johnathan Fried aka Barnabas. I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. I was born in 1961. But I watched it with my Mom and Grandma Ruth.

I think his performance in City of Lies is underrated. For him to play a police officer that did whatever it takes to find out who killed Notorious B.I.G. is truly one of the best performances of his career. Also, it was a great movie. It was sad but it deserves better.

It’s not a matter of before or after. They are both Titans in the industry and they both have an impressive body of work. Most of the actors of their generation deserved an Oscar in the 90’s. Johnny, Will, Tom and Brad all were killing it back then.

Captain Jack Sparrow will forever be Johnny Depp’s best character in my eyes! He is the epitome of a Hollywood pirate. I discovered my love for pirates (both real and fictional) almost 25 years ago, and Captain Jack May just be my favorite movie pirate.

Some actors should never age. We should be able to continue to see their excellent performances in different ways in different movies. We must be surprised how he was able to create such a character every time. Johnny is such an actor.

I’m glad you mentioned Willy Wonka. A lot of people like to hate on his performance (Gene Wilder among them), but Depp made Wonka out to be what one might expect: a neurotic genius. Not sly like Wilder’s Wonka, but steeped in angst. And no one could have played Ed Wood except for Johnny Depp. No one.

I grew up watching Tim Burton’s movies and I still remember watching the first Pirates of the Caribbean when I was 7 and yet it was only when I watched Ed Wood that I truly realized what a great, eclectic artist Johnny Depp is.

He hated that role. He said Americans were dumb when "Tus Rum Diaries" flopped, and that the movie would be much more appreciated in Europe. It wasn't. But his felling about Americans was right.

What a great actor Johnny Depp is. He can do multiple types of roles and that is wonderful and a sign of a very talented actor. He can do many genres. Very wonderful. I hope he wins an Oscar soon.
