You know, I thought this when I first saw Easy A, and I keep coming back to it. The guidance counselor says this is the first time and only time she’s ever cheated on her husband. But her husband doesn’t have an STI. And Mika was a virgin before he slept with her. So the only explanation is that she lied to Olive as a means to manipulate her into taking the fall. So she was even worse than first imagined.

See I read a different book that was similar but so much better that when I watched the movie fault in our stars I couldn’t get into it, like cancer movie I should be a sucker for and bawling but I just couldn’t, closest I got was when she got the phone call he had died and talked about that being her 10 on the pain scale. I just found the writing pretentious. I wish I could remember the name of the other book but it was one of hundreds I read in school over a decade ago so can’t recall. It was neighbours who grew up across the hall from each other were friends all through childhood then he got cancer when they are in high school and she was the only real friend to stick around they fall in love and it’s just got a more natural flow and didn’t feel as forced and trying so hard.

As punishment, I had to see that Twilight movie with the fight scene. I remember being pissed off when the fight scene was shown as a vision. I was down for the fight. I thought it was so cool. It was disappointing to know that it wasn't real. I felt like I sat through days of disappointment, only to have a knock-off pro wrestling/fight scene, only to see it was a vision. I was so mad that I walked out of the theater to calm down. The entire theater was in shock for that scene.
@UnknownAz

I saw the movie as a fan opening night. I had completely forgotten that Stephanie Meyer had announced before the movie came out that a new scene was written into the movie that's not in the book, but that it wouldn't altar the ending. I remembered after the fight scene ended and thought it was well done. It was the only logical way we could get some action without changing the story that made sense. I can understand you being mad though.

I remember reading The Mockingjay and getting to Prim's death in the middle of the night. I couldn't shake off the bitter feeling for days. I've never seen My Girl, but I have seen the clip of the little girl at the funeral twice now, and wow does it get me. She acted that so well, and it's gut wrenching. I don't think I can actually watch it, knowing what happens. Say what you want about Twilight, but I saw BD pt2 opening night, and the reaction of all of us when Carlisle's head falls, then when you find out it was a vision, are still some of the best moments I've experienced at a theater. We were all floored.

Heres a pitch: The Sisterhoof of the Traveling Pants with a Now & Then twist. The story would be split showing the OG stars where the characters are now and the challenges they are facing and then use a whole new cast of actresses to play younger version of the OG characters that will fill in the blanks since last we left them and now. You get the nostalgia factors + fans and with the new cast you appeal to a new generation.

In the City of Bones movie Hodge actually tells Valentine to lie about them being siblings, so the audience is already aware it’s false and it actually took away from the twist that it was in the book. Also Do Revenge would’ve been been higher if this was my list, that was genuinely one f the best twists I’ve seen a while! Glad it got a place though
@Tetris394

Didn't the Mortal Instruments movie actually spoil the fake sibling storyline? I think Hodge proposed the idea to Valentine, so the audience already knew it was not true.

For people who like the movie, Love Simon, you should read the book. I first watched the movie and then read the book to figure out that half of the plot had been changed. Basically, the only thing that is the same is the characters and some of the massive events. But the massive events are different, they don't meet on a Ferris wheel and there is a different tweet than on the movie, to just name a few. Plus the sequel books focus on Leah when the gang is in their senior year and another when they hit college.
