Nostalgia shaders is such a hidden gem, glad it's getting noticed, that and Voxel Shaders are easily the most fitting for Minecraft if it got a Graphics update

(make sure u have both forge and optifine on the version u want the shader inside and make sure u launch it once) drag the .zip file into the shaderpacks folder that optifine adds after launching the game, then in-game go to options>video settings>shaders and equip the shader

might be a dumb question, but in some of the packs the soul lanterns are orange, and not blue like in the video. is there an additional setting i have to enable?

there are both orange and blue lanterns in the game. I think to make a blue torch you need an item from nether, but i don't know. and then you craft a blue lantern

I think they meant that the light it emits through shaders are blue instead of the default orange. I'm wondering this as well too but I assume it depends on the shaders

@@ignaciomarques7523 i know. in the video the soul lanterns and torches are properly emitting blue light, but when i downloaded the same shaders the light coming from them was the same as regular torches and lanterns, im just wondering if its because of a setting i need to enable or something else

@@zed2653 There are settings in the shaders to add colored lighting. However, do note that it does impact the performance significantly, which is why most shaderpacks don't bother adding them.

@@splitsomusic sometimes iris and sodium doesnt increase the fps with shaders (i have a low end laptop and it gives me 30 fps with low end shaders vs with optifine)
