My boyfriend and I wanted to go to Venice for many years but we were afraid crowd of tourists would be a bore. We finally went in September 2020 when there were almost no tourists. And it was amazing. The city is incredibly beautiful, like a dream. We felt so lucky to be able to enjoy it in such rare conditions.

Hello Max, we have booked a trip to Italy (North to South). Your videos are one of the best one out there I must say. Not to long, not too short and with a brief history. Way better than those videos who just like to act cute in front of the camera! I used some information I learned on your video on my itinerary. Just be aware that you may come across trains that are sold out into Venice I tried several times and sold out but it rained for a week I wouldn't have enjoyed it raining and taking trips to the outer islands in the lagoon to Burano isola And some train departures are more some less no flat steady rate fare So I didn't get to go and I'm just one person! Couldn't get a ticket from Milano centrale treno staztione ! Just heads up!

When you visit Venice, one of the most beautiful things to do and that I recommend for tourists, even foreigner ones, is when you take the ferry or take a gondola ride and listen to Vivaldi's four seasons on headphones (especially spring or winter) and immerse yourself in the beauty and charm of the city. It is an unforgettable experience ❤💫💫

But I can dream...a Bellini (or 2) in Harry's and a room in the Gritti, just great. Im pleased you enjoyed your stay.you choice of ice cream was spot on, best in town. There is a stand that sells them on the left as you exit the train station. It's easy to find.

NOW Venice is 1600 years old id like to wish her a happy 16th k birthday. I cant find an official government webpage to do this on. Ive never been to Venice to visit and doubt I ever will be able to go. In the past tourism has been overcrowded the government might rethink how it lets people visit. And set a strict quota of visas issued for that city and a special tax. We see it in the movies as inchanting romantically warm. But you cant have this intimate relationship with a city bumping elbows with 500k more people then the streets can hold. You wont get the experience everyone sees in the movies. Its been more like Disney world and less like a accent city that lends its selfe to romance.

I'm from Germany so from inside the EU. I know travel restrictions are often tougher for non-EU travelers. :(

No, just the regular ticket I think. You can easily walk to most places in Venice. :)
