Just curious if y'all would care to comment on the percentage of reversion for peve maribo? And would you consider beijing gold to be as prove to reversion? Does reversion vary by sub-species? Thanks gents for the continually awesome content, I've learned a ton from y'all!

Beijing Gold and Snow Cloud don’t revert. I don’t know a percentage. Sun helps more than shade with the Peve Maribo style. Don’t over fertilize. They can still revert is the honest answer but taking steps for the best color is good. I have a nice one in the ground now for 7 years with good colors

You wouldn’t think they would like that much lime since they grow in the same soil as maples and azealas.

Any info on Ginkgo biloba 'Fastigiata' it would appear this is a larger growing Grindstone (appears to grow to about double the height and less than twice as wide) or are they actually the same tree?
@MrMapleShow7 ай бұрын
Fastigigate is narrow but not columnar. A 20 Ft tree is 6-8ft wide

@@MrMapleShow Good to know! BTW do you have any idea what the 10-15 year height on these is, I just keep seeing the 40-60' range but I highly doubt you are seeing that in 10-15 years. lol

@@zeroibis if limed well every other season a 15 year one should be 20ft+

@@MrMapleShow Cool, so based on this it sounds like it is not really that much faster growing or tall as compared to a grindstone of the same age. So as you said before the main difference of the two is more of how narrow you are looking for vs how tall? Sorry for all the questions I am just trying to figure out what the differences between these two are, especially growth grate and ultimate size.

The smell is overrated. You would have to stand over a pile…source, well over a decade living in Korea.
