Just to clarify something: when I discussed my #1 coaster, I mentioned how it used to run better than it currently does. That does NOT mean that the current version would rank lower on this list! It is still at my #1 spot! Sorry if that confused anybody.

I have ridden Twisted Colossus over 2 dozen times in probably every row by now. I was just there earlier this year on a Saturday and it didn't duel once. I am adamant on my decision.

It really sucks! I'm 27 now and man I cannot handle rides as when I was 17. Dont get me wrong I'm gonna ride them even while getting uncomfortable but man I have damn near panic attacks now.

I’m similar in the fact I can’t handle rides like I used to . My spirit is still willing like a teenager but my body sadly isn’t. I get shook up a lot on rides and need some serious breaks in between. I honestly romanticize about how as a “kid”I could wait 3 hours online for a ride with no phone and be blown away by that minute experience of the ride. Now I want a walk on for all rides and my hands will shake and I’ll have to sit down on a bench for 5 minutes after to get my bearings. Ohhh behold the ravages of aging ...

I'll be 40 in a couple months. I want to kick myself in the ass every time I think about it, but I just discovered that I love coasters last summer even though I've lived my entire life 45 minutes away from great adventure. Now I'm trying to figure out how I can justify to my wife how we can do a few theme park trips a year.

Wow... My jaw dropped to the ground when I found out how similar my top 3 is to your top 5. Out of the coasters I've ridden, my top 3's are: 1. El Toro - insane drop, airtime, laterals, and pacing 2. Steel Vengeance - talk about an extremely well rounded coaster, great drop, airtime, pacing, length, and inversions 3. Eejanaika - I physically cannot ride this thing more than two times in a row, it is that insane So who knows, maybe me and Taylor will have the same top 5 once I finally got a chance to ride Lightning Rod and Hakugei. But your list will probably change again once I got to go back to Japan lol

I'm fortunate enough to have Dollywood as my home park, going a good 10-15 times a year and Lightning Rod is insane. However I just went to Silver Dollar City over the winter break and I ADORED Time Traveler. Sitting in the back and getting yanked over that drop at a weird angle was the highlight of that entire trip. They're so different it's hard to pick a #1! Love hearing about your top 25 and I can't wait to mark more of these coasters off of my bucket list soon!

I love the story arc of X2 going up the ranks over the years, starting with it not even being in your SFMM top 10 and now it almost cracked the top 10 of all rollercoasters you've ridden! Also the fact that Lightning Rod was weakened and STILL made your #1 overall spot really shows how good it is. It's been robbed of the gold for years imo

Iron Gwazi is testing and is super fast through its compact layout. The drop literally goes to the ground with barely a foot of distance from the dirt.

Wow! When Taylor first went on SV, he was adamant that it was the best coaster in the world. I also think it’s interesting that Fury 325 used to be 1, and now it’s 6. Meanwhile, El Toro used to be 2 and is still 2.

I mean most people don't think a ride will make your phone fly out of your pocket, but my friend learned that the hard way. Went back the next day to see if they found it and they did, it was bent in a V shape and the lady working lost and found insisted someone call the phone to verify it was his.

Yeah, the only thing that didn't make sense to me was that Goldstriker and Ghostrider are ranked higher than TC. I've ridden Ghostrider and TC over 30 times each and although they are both amazing rides, to me, there's no comparison. Back row night rides on TC are fantastic!!

I've ridden both, and Ghost Rider gets the nod from me. But they're both so good, Ghost Rider with its out-of-control feel and Twisted Colossus with its insane layout, they both should be in the top 25.

if they'd retracked the original, it would've been better than "melted molten steel colossus." Thing was a lot of fun and dueling now it barely duels and would be a horrible ride if it wasn't a mobius loop.

OneAndOnlySound The thing about Colossos is that the RMC treatment is the best it could get, **but** it’s such a shame they didn’t use the whole layout of the original ride because that would’ve made the ride much longer and probably also long enough for it to be a single coaster (so the racing would be back, yeey)

You should do types, for example: top 10 Arrows, top 10 RMC, top 10 intimam, top 10 flat ride types, top 10 CCI, top 10 Gerstlauers, etc.

Okay, I loved this list. I'm particularly satisfied with the fact that X2 has climbed so much and the fact that Lightning Rod got the top spot. You never get off Lightning Rod feeling dissatisfied. All you can think at the end is "waaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!"

@@madelinegarber7860 SV is the best of those three when taken as a total package. While I rank it as my overall number one, close behind is Lightning Rod and on a personal level it would probably be my favorite coaster because I love how out of control it feels and I have such an incredible love for Dollywood as a park (IMO it's better than CP.) I really related to Taylor's comment about something being "the best" and something being "my favorite." I feel exactly the same way in reference to these coasters. Fury is cool but doesn't have the same heart pounding effect that SV and Lightning Rod have. In any case, I hope you can get on them all some day as they are all fantastic.

I’m newer to the thusie community and low on funds so I haven’t been able to get to CPor Dollywood yet. I almost went to CP last summer but it didn’t work out. I’m sure SV and Lightning Rod would rank above Fury for me. But I keep having dreams every few weeks to months about riding Fury so I feel like I need to ride it now. My top 3 in no special order or Torro I305 and Twisted Timbers which is my first and only RMC.

@@madelinegarber7860 welcome. I'm in my thirties (like Chris from Airtime Thrills.) I've had a lot of time to visit parks, plus I was in the Army so I got to travel a bit and occasionally fit in a daytrip if I was lucky. I'm nowhere near as well traveled on coasters as Taylor but I've been to about thirty parks across the country. To be honest, while I love coasters I actually prefer quality theming over pure thrills. My favorite park is the original Disneyland but certainly CP and SFMM have the best coaster collections if that is your main focus.

Thank you. I love Airtime Thrills. I’m subscribed to the channel. Chris is great. I’m 23 and dabbled in coasters in high school and the nerdy side of it. I rode my first coaster at 14. I was scared of them until then. I rode some coasters in college but really got into it again at the very beginning of senior year. I fell violently in love with everything coasters and my one thusie friend helped me along the way. My other friend learned from us but wasn’t as into it. We made plans early in the year to visit Six Flags Great Adventure since I hadn’t been there since high school and had only gotten on four rides back then. I was also desperate to ride Kah and Torro. The 3 of us and my sister went the day after I/we finished finals in May. We went to college in Allentown PA and I live near Philly so it was Great Adventure or Hershey. We got on almost everything we wanted to. I declaired myself a true coaster enthusiast after that. That summer I went to Kings Dominion and Six Flags America. I’ve also been to Disney World Orlando, Hershey though I have a lot of creddits to still get there too. My first coaster was comet and first inverting coaster was super dooper looper a few years later. I’ve also been to Dorney several times. My dream is to go to CP and SFMM. I’m actually mostly blind so I like a park that is clean with friendly staff and a good aesthetic and good rides. I appreciate theming but I can’t see most of it so I have to rely on audio effects somewhere like Disney and thrilling rides everywhere else. My creddit count is only 42. Don’t judge I’m trying :p.

Very interesting how you stacked up your RMCs. Like leaving TC off but putting Railblazer, Irat, and Outlaw Run on the list which I think are on the weaker side from my experiences. And I'm glad you qualified the Lightning Rod ranking, my 2016 ride was out of this world but 2019 not as much, still in my top 5 but wont get any higher.

I've only been to the parks in California so far so I haven't experienced too many coasters, but honestly I think Apocalypse at SFMM is a more enjoyable GCI than Gold Striker. On top of that, I have fantastic memories of Discovery Kingdom's Roar before it became the Joker, and it blew both of the other GCIs out of the water until it got real rough in its later years. Now that GhostRider got a fantastic retracking though, it's definitely the best wooden coaster (if not the best coaster overall) in California.

I went on Gold Striker early in 2019, and thought it was a lot rougher than the reviews I had seen or read, too much neck jarringl; IO prefer Ghostrider at Knotts way over this GCI;; but I agree with Taylor re: Railblazer, wow it was only open abohujt a month when I road it, and it is super fast, aggressive, and smooth, if it were only a bit longer.

I can't wait to ride El Toro in April for the first time. Steel Vengeance has been my favorite coaster since I rode it and now we got a competitor. I like your list although I miss Steel Vengeance being your #1 because I didn't think it would change for you for a few years but I'm not mad. Great list!!!

When I first rode Lightning Rod, I literally didn't even know that coaster existed before I went to the park that day (I wasn't really a coaster enthusiast at the time, nor did I even bother going to the Dollywood website beforehand). And for whatever reason, when we were in line, I never saw the ride go up the hill, or really saw it in action much at all. So I had no idea that it was going to launch me up there, nor did I really know what exactly would come afterwards, since a good amount of the ride was hidden from my view because of the terrain. It was like the most perfect way you could possibly go into a ride like that, because when we launched up the hill I was like "WAIT WAIT WHAT?!" and I was in total shock at the rest of the ride too because I wasn't expecting it to be so intense. It was definitely the most mind-blowing experience I've ever had on a roller coaster and I'm glad to see it at the #1 spot. Truly an incredible ride. Also this was August 2017 when I rode it, I sadly haven't been back to Dollywood since then, and I don't know if that was before they slowed down the launch or after they slowed it down, so if someone can let me know when that change occurred, I'd appreciate it.

I agree. I've actually ridden both Steel Vengeance and Lightning rod, before they slowed it down, and without a doubt Steel Vengeance is so much better. It has everything you can ask for in a ride, while also being such a long ride

Yes lightening rod at night completely pitch black is by far the best!!!! I live just minutes away and I just absolutely love it. Biggest issue is if it’s open!!! Dang ride always seems to be down

I just watched this video today and I was NOT expecting my hometown to be featured. Lightning rod is wicked. I personally have about 10 rides under my belt on this coaster and it feels like the first time riding it every time. The long waits are well worth the 40+ seconds of pure carnage.

@@natehalberstadt7603 My year will be over if theme parks close. Honestly people are getting way too over dramatic! IMO, public businesses, such as theatres and theme parks should stay open, as people will still want to go if they're not pussies, as there is no danger if you take careful precautions. Ik theme parks are also doing things to help prevent the spread, such as SF placed hand sanitize units around the parks

I live about 1 hour away from Kolmården and Wildfire is such an amazing ride! Was there a month ago and there was literally no lines so you could get right back on it. The drop in the beginning is such a rush and the view of the terrain when going around is fantastic!

I just rode lightning rod last week. I can't imagine how intense it was if it is now nerfed. It is definitely is in my top 3 most thrilling rides of all time. Me and my brother forked out the extra cash for fast passes just so we code ride it over and over.
