Hello, I just wanted to thank you for the priceless information! I have been having pain especially in my right upper arm for 2-3 months. It was also building in my left arm. The pain was almost to the point of unbearable. I did the exercises exactly as you demonstrated and the pain diminished to less than half! I did them again the next day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon and the pain is almost completely gone! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Hi, I wanted to thank you too! I had horrible TOS for several years, that kept getting worse. I awakened many times each night, with numb and painful arms and hands, and it even occurred while driving. Well lo and behold after two weeks of doing these exercises, and also sleeping on my side with my top arm over a large pillow (which another PT recommended) it went COMPLETELY away!!! It's literally been three years now, and it hasn't even happened once since then! I don't even think about it anymore, which seems unbelievable, considering how it used to take over my life. Thank you!!!

Wow. I have been visiting a chiropractor for a whole month now for what I thought was a pinched nerve or something with my spine. These three exercises have alleviated the discomfort I've been living with for the past month. I will try to keep better posture and I'll definitely do that fourth exercise when I'm home from work later tonight. THANK YOU.

Yes,I 've been side sleeper whole my life. I used to sleep with my right wrist bent as well. I visited the best PT in my city about a month ago and I've been doing neck exercises twice a day since then. The strange thing is that I included your exercises three days ago and I feel WAY better since then. I actually got 8 hours of sleep last night for the first time in last 90 days. I have an appointment with her the next week so I'll make sure to mention your exercises. Thanks for suggestions!

Unbelievable! I've been in pain for 2 years after a very bad fall on a horse that caused multiple broken ribs hurt shoulder and hip. My job requires me to lift boxes up over my head a few days a week. I figured my pain burning and numbing from my shoulder to my finger tips had something to do with either the fall or lifting at work. I noticed when it triggers I've lifted that day, Also when I leaf blow or weed whack from squeezing the triggers. I'm in horrible pain all that night. The burning pain sometimes last for 2 hours. I get up and pace my living room. Shaking my arm. The pain gets so unbearable. I've searched and search for pain relief. I saw your video and did your exercises. Within 20 mins 50% of my pain was gone. I did them all again a second time. And a hour later. It went 100% away. I'm careful now how I sleep not to bend my arm in at my chest or reach up under my pillow. I wish I found you sooner. Because after years of this pain, I've noticed my muscles in my arm and hand have dramatically weaked. And my finger tips have a slight constant tingle. I've been to the doctor many many times for this and Costrocondritis and they never helped but give useless advice. It's took my doctors 2 years for them just recently to finally acknowledge my Costrocondritis. But for this it's only been wrap a towel on your arm when you sleep. Thank you!!!! You cannot believe the pain and agony you saved me!!!

I forgot about this video.. After another hard fall, I had 3 months of unpredictable shooting arm pain and numbness etc., and these exercises are instantly effective. I felt I had atrophy and contraction in my left arm, neck scalene, and this stretching hurt so good. Can tell this is the path to normalcy and recovery, as it was before. The pain relief is most notable . Sometimes I have to wonder if doctors and chiro's know, (they'd have to right? TOS) but just need you coming back instead and more visits, testing, scans, meds, on and on. Most effective solution yet. Thanks once again.

I came across your video Apr-27th-15. I've been suffering with deep Major Depression my whole life. I suffer from IBS, Interstitial Cystitis and finally have found the answer to this miserable Thoratic Outlet Syndrome. I am 40'years old and for years doctors would sometimes think it was all in my head. I have finally found the answer from this video. I have every symptom you say 100%, I also sleep on my stomach with arms crunched up and all over the place. I cannot sleep any other way.

I can't thank you enough, I'm 55, a side sleeper and I have an extra rib in my neck. The pain in my shoulder has been horrible but I hate going to doctors. These exercises, only done once, with some nerve flossing from another site have made a difference already. I can make the upside down glasses in one session and I wasn't even close the first time I tried. I can feel the stretch hitting exactly where I need it. Really excited to continue! God bless you for posting this!

I think I may have TOS caused by 2 things. Excessive amount of web searching for months then I almost fell twice & some type of injury , sprain when someone who was supposed to be assisting me to get in a car pulled away from me when I reached out for their arm . I had to quickly grab onto the car door to keep from falling. I was having tremors in my legs and torso. Both of my arms were raised some , grabbing onto the top of the door to steady in myself as my body was shaking and going down. I managed to get in the car seat with assistance from some kind onlookers. My neck shoulders ,arms & hands especially the left hand which hand swelling & redness a few days, has given me severe pain. My neck had a blood vessel pop up in the front lower left side . I researched to see what could cause it and saw a lot of references to Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. My Dr. whom I couldn't get an earlier appointment with because he was overbooked said he couldn't diagnose anything because it was 2 months ago. I couldn't get to the Dr . until last week & it happened in December. The blood vessel is still there, but now smaller about the size of a penny. Had to plead with My Dr. to get him to give me a rushed half hearted exam. He couldn't feel it of course, moved my arms a little, said they weren't broken or bruised chastised me for not getting to him faster, (all booked up) & walked out . I'm hoping to get some relief from learning stretches.

I can't fully do them, but one attempt of each exercise stopped the stabbing pain in my fingers! I will keep working on it, but these are great additions to ease the extreme pain! I have been to a Dr and have had some physical therapy. I moved and was unable to maintain the exercises I was given. I plan to post some around the house because I can do some while I wait for the microwave, listen to my family's stories, and even on the ceramic throne!

Hello and thank you! Long story short - I am a slim 25 year old female who woke up may 5th 2010 with a body spasm which had never occurred before. Since that time more than two years ago, I have been struggling to get better from what felt like a sprained neck. I have had half a dozen MRIs finally that have found extrinsically compressed subclavian artery and an ultrasound by a vascular surgeon confirmed I lose blood flow immediately when my elbow approaches my shoulder. They were not familiar

I started your exercises today and they are painful, but I'm hoping with time it will help. The most painful exercise is the FIRST one with the finger tips reverse circle up to the eye and face. But the others hurt a little as well. This disorder drove my depression into the deepest darkness ever. For years I abused alcohol to cope with the daily pain until I finally stopped two months ago due to ulcer. Then to cope I began abusing strong pain killers for 2 years, finally clean from them (hardest thing I ever did in my life), the pain I masked for 2 years is back. I am so happy I finally have an answer and hope your exercises help me.

Huge shout out here, thank you so much. I play quite a bit of sport and do a lot of weight training and have had this problem for years and would like to say since starting this, my grip strength has improved as well shoulder mobility. my gelnhumeral joint now sits a lot more flush and my rotator cuff muscles are strengthening. I found that also stretching my pectoral minor along with these exercises has worked wonders

Hi Dr. Chad, I am from the Philippines. I am a subscriber and a regular viewer of your videos. I have a problem with a pain above the middle part of my right clavicle. I believe I got it while overdoing a pull-over exercise. I have tried all your shoulder treatments, but I know that they are not the answer, for my pain is NOT on my shoulder muscles, but, like I said, they are above the middle part of the clavicle area, like beneath that area. How do I treat it, as I need to continue my strength training exercises, to get back in shape? You are doing a super great service to all your viewers. More power to you. God bless us all.

Just what I like- simple but useful tips I can use. I have been diagnosed with CTS and they of course want to cut me open even though I tell them over and over again that I get real results just from upper body exercises and stretching. But I don't know all the stretches, so again, this helps. And even if I do have classic CTS, the tendons and muscles in my neck get so tight I can hardly turn my head at times, so surely that is playing as well. Anyway, thanks!!

Two chiropractors. One didn't know, but gave me stretching exercises. The other one I met informally - he's in and out of town. He claimed to know what it was and gave me an adjustment. But it's a very slow go. Still have problems after 5 months. Woke up one morning and my whole arm hurt. I thought I was having a heart attack. But it went away. I didn't notice anything more until I saw the divot in my forearm months later. Now it's usually sore, and the stretching seems to be futile.

I am nearly in tears of joy here. Not unfamiliar with plenty of different PTs --injuries, surgeries,- trauma -- I had never experienced this eye one. Especially because of my limitations I've been trying to "reroute" typical movements to open my chest and have really screwed myself up, spending the last two nights in particular in pain and in agony that is so unbearable I felt that my heart was getting way too much of a workout and was going to head for the ER tonight if this protracted duress continued. I had an instant response, so dramatic that the side of my face felt all opened up in a way t can't describe but to say, like it was begging for this. Truly breeeeathing without the Labor to!! Much more Ireally but i will discipline myself because well, t0o much texting Very not good! This is my Only text for the day but i had to thank you. Iam very very grateful bro. Oh, also.... pulling down half my body weight as an (arthritic) 100 lb woman maybe not so good. I am planning to continue these brilliant maneuvers (+) slowly and carefully. 🏇

I found out about thoracic outlet accidentally on pinterest. In my research to find answers I found this video. I'm hoping that this will help my husband. All his symptoms seem to match this!!! We have seen so many doctors without answers.Which is now surprising to me. He broke his collar bone and had surgery a couple years ago. Hopefully these exercises can relieve his pain! Could it be scar tissue or surgery related?

Came to this video on my worst day of TOS numbness in about a year. Heading to try these exercises in the other room right now and will finish this comment when I am done. I just cannot get rid of the numbness like I usually can (will report back)...Well, temporary relief lasting about 15 minutes but this is relief nonetheless. I'm sure that my bad day is due to the hard day out in 3' seas yesterday since my entire upper body aches from a trip offshore on jetskis.

I felt the need to put a bottle under my back when I felt like I was having a heart attack. Had dramatic improvement like my back muscles parted, but I guess it was because of opening up the chest.

Wondering if I have TOS. Can't do that upside down stretch ,but this is the first try. Have to keep trying it. I have very little upper body strength and mobility anyway from recent injury and bad upper body injuries from 11 years ago. Neither ever diagnosed. Have knotted fascia all in both arms from old injuries and chronic Non-Restorative sleep disorder so I don't ever heal properly. Pain 24/7.

Thank your your video. I was wondering if TOS can also cause tingling in the legs and feet as I am experiencing that as well as in the hands. Many thanks.

Finally, do you think it's TOS? I wonder because it's mostly in my shoulder blade, trap, and shoulder. I know I'm not supposed to sleep with my arms up, but it actually feels good, like I'm getting a stretch. In fact, if I grab my left wrist with my right hand and pull up, I feel a stretch inside my shoulder (ahhhh). I don't feel any pain doing blocks/punches in tae kwon do, but when I'm standing with my hands clasped behind my back, it kills. Ditto for sitting with hands in lap--ouch!

Great video thanks a lot. I'm not sure what I have. But it's mainly in my left elbow. My ulnar nerve seems to have been pushed out or out of it's groove. I get clicking when I perform some ulnar flossing. But it doesn't hurt. I've had pins and needles sensitivity, but it gets better with RICE and these exercises you have shown.
