I committed to shooting 1,000 round case of ammo a month. It’s a lot of work.. however it’s been 5 months since I’ve been doing this. I feel so much more confident at what I’m doing. Great video. I need a dry fire tool. Getting bored of racking everytime hahah

I just discovered the awesome benefits of dry firing about a year ago. But you are right about the muscle memory of racking the slide after every shot. I haven’t ever done it with live fire but I have almost racked the slide after doing a couple of hours of dry firing then going in the backyard to see my progress with live fire.

Thanks for the reminder. I bought a Glock 19 X air soft Gas operated pistol for force on force training and a Glock 19X co2 pistol BB gun. Both operate just like the real deal without the loud bang. I will share your video. Thanks!!!!

Something that was a game changer for me, hop online and buy a green gas blowback airsoft pistol in whatever pistol configuration you are going to carry, They're 1:1 weight for the most part, the slide reciprocates like a real handgun, and it's way cheaper than burning ammo on those days/weeks you cant get to the range. Keeps from building training scars that come with dry firing an unloaded pistol

I conceal carry every day and have been for 25 years. These Chad vids inspired me to work on my pistol skills. NOW I dont like how I carried my pistol and are having a time trying to figure out where I want to draw from. Apendix carry guy prev. Now I just dont know lol But my grip , stance, And understanding are much better, Just the draw part is my weak point.

I know it is not dry fire, but I choose to use 22lr for lots of reps. It is cheap again now that I can get 100 rounds for about $12. I can use the same ammo for my 22lr AR and pistol so I can do transitions from rifle to pistol. Also if you get cheap ammo it will double feed or just screw up in general so I get to learn to clear issues of both.

Amazing video. The drills listed here are definitely worth practicing regularly. Being nitpicky here. But during the shock cadence drill, you mentioned that you want to keep shooting until the target is “eliminated.” Most people when they hear “eliminated” they think “kill the target”. Thinking like this will likely end you up prison. We never want to shoot to “eliminate a target”, we want to shoot until we are 100% certain at the target is no longer a threat. In most cases, this may be the same thing, but for all my CCW guys out there, shooting to kill will send you to prison.

With the shot cadence, should we be practicing shooting the target more than once if the target is down with one shot? The reason I ask is because of witnesses. If the target goes down with one shot and we keep shooting them we could be in trouble with the law or am I not thinking about it right? I am new to dry firing so I don't know the ins and outs.

Have had great experience with my kit. 1000+ "rounds" had a few hiccups nothing i couldn't fix. I bought extra o rings and things when i ordered my kit

Wow it costs a lot - but I really like the idea. Safe dry firing with the ability to shoot multuple shots v rack the slide, pull the trigger, rack the slide...................ad nauseum.

Dry fire is fine. No damage done to the firing pin on modern handguns. That is is myth

Great tool but at about $600 for the basic kit and laser tip and near $1000 for the complete system with the feedback targets. Definitely more than most can afford. Awesome videos from you though Chad as usual tell it like it is and no bs. Thank you for your service Sir.

You should always look at your holster when putting the pistol back in, and when drawing it out, you should never look at your holster. The reason you would not be holstering if an active threat was still present.

What brand of dryfire system were you using please?

You can refill them yourself with dry ice. Look at the weight on the side of the can, put the can on a scale while you fill it up to that weight. Once you get the right amount of dry ice in there, screw the cap back on. The caps for the soda stream bottles have a valve you have to seal up or all the co2 will escape. Some grocery stores sell dry ice by the pound. Just break it up with a hammer and pour it in with a funnel. You need a narrow funnel, which gets clogged easily, so I would use a chopstick to poke it down and clear the clog. Get more dry ice than you need. You will have a loss as it melts and evaporates, which happens fairly quickly. If you only have the one canister, start with 2 pounds until you get your process down and can get away with less.

Great content I appreciate the infor Cool Fire Trainer is probably a good product. I’ve tried to call them to place an order. But they don’t return phone calls or emails. I even tried FB which they sent me a message back a month later & said they would contact me. Maybe one day they’ll call me back! Lol
