Wow! I really like the video and information you're giving! Like many others, I've also watched MANY INSTA360 videos, and I can safely say that I haven't seen anything like this as well. I am looking to get the 1-inch, but honestly, have no clue where to start. Your video helped me a lot to make wiser choices, especially using the ultra long selfie stick and claw. I use the regular Ulanzi claw for my Sony Alpha camera, and honestly, its amazing! Super fast, and easy to remove and attach. Thanks for these videos, keep it coming!

Thanks for the feedback, I think the 1 inch is a lot better than the original one and the other new one. Bigger sensor better in low light. Low light is a killer for this kind of camera . so the bigger señor helps. The other one is smaller , slimmer and lighter and is very good but the bigger sensor is great . The long stick is a MUST have in my opinion. I very rarely use anything other than the 3 meter pole other than the solid eco poles . still with the long length but more stable . the down side is unscrewing it. So the extending 3 metro pole is the most useful. used it out the car roof again the other day and the camera wobbled to much . iso the solid pole is best for higher wind situations. Thanks again for the kind words. I have plenty more content just have to find time to edit.

I had the same view of the mic -- better for voice overs later. BTW: you did a lot of the same research I was trying to do on prices and gear. Big help. Kudos to your spouse/gf -- she puts up with all your gear.

I had the same thought. Mainly because most of the 360 clips are short anyway and for my use on my travel channel the 360 footage is mostly B Roll . However I am trying to record voice with video more in future because it just drops the editing time and many times the voice when shooting is more natural and in the moment. Adding the voice later is more controlled but I find it is adding high time to the edit. I have so many videos shot that I have not published yet because I need to do voice overs. Also I just did a trade show and shot video with live commentary as I walked the show floor and it worked well. However I did bump the mic bracket when adding the lens cover and then shot more video that had a small part of the mic outside the stitch line so limited the way I could view / edit the footage to avoid the blued blob in view

It’s so easy to fall into accessory addiction, this video felt like a dirty pleasure haha. My favourite accessories are the falcam f22 quick release, and scottymakesstuff case for the dji pocket 2! I also got this expandable China tripod . Extends to around 100cm and weighs 320 grams. Was 15 bucks, puts the peak design tripod to shame!

I try to re purpose equipment across multiple cameras and gear. All trying to make it easier to just concentrate on getting the shots that are in my head. nothing is ever quite perfect but sometimes things just work well together. Just discovered some good matches again today so I'm about to do another video

Great advice especially love the Ulanzi acra swiss clamp, but the mono audio on your voice overs are killing me. Try placing your mono recording on both left and right channels in post to make it stereo.

I’ve been looking to buy the RS 1 Inch, want to use a 300cm selfie stick, but Insta360’s website says the new extended selfie stick compatibility excludes the RS 1 Inch “Compatibility:X3,ONE RS (1-Inch 360 excluded),ONE X2,ONE R,ONE X,ONE” Am I missing something?

Hello, great video. I have a request for you, can you advise me a good tripod for making 360 panoramas for Matterport? I have a smaller, cheaper one from Insta360 but it's a problem on uneven surfaces, stairs, I've already dropped the camera once and the optics broke. 😔 Thank you very much 🙂

Sorry for the late reply. I have a Pro Master monopod that allows the vertical shaft to be angled at any angle from the base. So if you have a sloped surface or uneven surface you can put the lower legs down and then angle the vertical straight up and down and lock it in. Works well on most uneven surfaces

Great job! I am assuming for the RS 1" and RS 1" twin, there is no 'Insta360 bike kit' which, for lighter Insta's includes a body harness, permitting 'hands free filming! (I had anticipated that this would be best for fiming rugged/mountan hikes/runs and permit less movement when the socket is located nearer to the navel or spine!)

I know that Insta has said that the 1 Inch version is NOT an action camera and so no accessories are aimed at action type activities. If you have one of those head or mouth mounts you neck becomes the shock absorber to smooth out the footage. When the camera is on your chest or a stomach height it gets a lot of up down and side to side movement that is harder to smooth out. Your right that a bit lower is better if the camera has to be held that way.

Maybe you can help me, when i shoot a still with my Insta360 camera, I only see the side of the camera where i am behind the camera once I get the image up to edit, not the other side of where i am shooting what I am trying to get. Is there something i am doing wrong?

The camera has a setting that can use just one camera. I have accidentally set this setting from 2 cameras to just one twice before without even realising it. Look at your settings and you will find the camera is set to 270 or 180 degrees instead of 360. I have lost days of shots because of that setting while on holiday. Very frustrating. . Didn’t even know how I moved the setting but it happened

Hi I have just watched your video. I had the ulanzi hummingbird quick release system. Unfortunately I had all this set up with my motorbike but didn’t realise that you only get about 2 or 3 threads to secure the camera with. Eventually my camera came off smashed and got completely smashed. They are good for photos on a selfi and walking around but are no good for traveling on a motorbike.
@youtubefunstuff
@youtubefunstuff 11 ай бұрын
Sorry to read that , On a motor bike you need to use a dampener . Anything with a thread will work loose. I has my camera drop of the extended pole ones just by walking and swinging the pole. the small screw thread only allows a small non slip contact so unscrewing will happen faster . with motor bike vibration it will loosen quickly. Look at dampener mounts to stop the micro vibration

Has Someone tried bullet time with Insta360 accessorie and a Insta360 One RS 1 Inch?
@youtubefunstuff
@youtubefunstuff Жыл бұрын
I haven't tried it with the 1 inch. I asked Insta if the remote for the one X2 worked or did they have a new remote. Answer from Insta:. the 1 inch is not an action camera. we have not designed a remote however the old remote for the X2 will work . So I would imagine that the 1 inch ( heavier and bigger ) is not designed to be swung around on the small bullet time cable / string. or the solid bullet time arm but it would probably work with some extra care. I can't remember seeing the bullet time setting to select on the camera although I have not really looked for it. I would say insta don't recommend it for the big camera and big exposed lenses.

is the camera compatible with a regular camera screw mount?
@youtubefunstuff
@youtubefunstuff Жыл бұрын
Yes it uses a standard screw thread.. The quick release I use screws into the normal screw thread on the bottom of the camera. So you don’t need to use the quick release. I like quick release because I can quickly mount the camera on different equipment types. If the camera is always on a pole then just use that or any other equipment you want

Any lens protection product?
@youtubefunstuff
@youtubefunstuff 11 ай бұрын
I have never purchased any lens protection products. I don't like the idea of putting cheap plastics over the glass optics or having odd stitching lines in the image. Even with my original 360 the is waterproof I don't cover the lenses. I have hit both camera lenses with tree branches a number of times when sticking the camera out a car , truck, taxi , tuk tuk bit it has never damaged the lens. I have dropped the camera a couple of times but it had the rubber lans cover on it.

BOUGHT IT! BUT what you (and ALL the '360' KZfaqrs!) forgot to tell prospective buyers is: a)NONE of the Insta360 cameras are ACTUALLY LEGALLY 'FIT FOR PURPOSE'; (from any Consumer standpoint)! WHY? I hear you all ask! Well...for: ONE: they do not WORK until ACTIVATED! TWO: they can ONLY be ACTIVATED via the APP! THREE: the APP is NOT available for WINDOWS! (Can ONLY be installed on 'HIGH END' iOS/Android devices!) FOUR: the APP REQUIRES a 'HIGH END' ANDROID/iOS (mobile=their statement) device! FIVE: though anyone with any sence KNOWS it is NOT TRUE the APP will only sinstall with 'LOCATION SERVICES' enabled! (Insta360 CLAIM this is so that the 'mobile device can find the camera'!) SIX: (as far as I have learned so far!) EVEN IF YOU HAVE/BORROW a suitable phone to make it FUNCTION='FIT FOR PURPOSE' it will not 'connect/pair' with a laptop/desktop (via WiFi/Bluetooth) for 'livestream'/'webcam'/'control' functionality! (MUST be paired to a 'HIGH END' iOS/Android 'mobile' device and be paired and connected to it, in order to use these functions! SEVEN: 'Customer Service' is via a BOT (NON HUMAN!) EIGHT: the BOT can not perform the 'PR' duties necessay to provide a browser accessible site to FIX the presently ILLEGAL activation requirements! NINE: the BOT can not perform the 'PR' duties necessary to ASSURE that (location free) ACTIVATION, 'livestream'/'webcam' etc. WILL BE added any time SOON to the Windows/editing software! TEN: How many years have INSTA360 AND all these KZfaq/BLOGGERS been HIDING THESE points from you to take your money WITHOUT full disclosure? text-green-game-overface-orange-frowning
