I wanted to find out all I could about the best places to live near Tampa when my family and I moved here several years ago. Now that I know the city and surrounding areas well, I discovered that one of the best Tampa suburbs is Riverview, Florida.
If you're thinking about moving to the Tampa area (which I highly recommend!), then you probably have lots of the same questions I did: Where should we live? Where are the best schools? How's the traffic? [not great, btw]

My daughter & SIL just build a gorgeous home in Triple Creek! They are military & plan to retire there when SIL leaves the Air Force. It is so shocking because I am an Air Force brat too and happened to graduate from Brandon High School - I had not been back there since I left for college in the West! It was fun to go back & see how the school that was only a few years old when I went there - now has older neighborhoods & isn’t way out in the undeveloped area like it used to be at the time. So crazy how life grow full circle. 😎

Riverview is only 16' above sea level. I love the place but 16' is very low.

I think your voice is pleasant. I was hoping to see more neighborhoods with housing options or images of the neighborhoods being discussed versus seeing a talking head.

Hi my daughter is transferring down to Florida and I am moving with her as she is a single mother I am disabled. I keep saying good things about Riverside. We will be moved down there from Missouri August first.

Hi! Apollo Beach is very close by, but about an hour's drive to Clearwater or beaches on Anna Maria Island.

You have to REALLY research and look into the builder. I've found 2 I was interested in until I read the miles long list of complaints on the BBB web site about 2 of the builders. I've been though this renting a flat in the suburbs of Boston, specifically Avalon. I wouldn't touch Avalon with a 10 foot pole. Do your homework! I REALLY want to get out of MA, for many reasons but not with what I'm reading about some of these builders. It's really turning me off and I had my heart set on the Tampa area.

Is moving to Riverview a bad idea for someone in their late 20s, doesn't have a family, works from home and wants close proximity to bars/entertainment?

Hey, well Riverview is definitely not known for its nightlife and bar and singles scene. It’s a relatively quiet area as far as entertainment goes because it’s mostly homes and shopping and outdoor space. I feel certain you could find lots of other singles too. Of course I’ve been generalizing 😬 Have you seen my video about Ybor City if you’re looking for a more cosmopolitan area? And feel free to reach out if you want some more info 😎👍🙏🏼

Yes. Riverview is shit traffic suberbs. St Petersburg would fit your lifestyle. Ybor city , or south tampa /soho area.
