Hownlong did you guys run this intake with a stock tune?

That metal intake is probably worse than stock. It will heat soak faster than plastic. Most of these are just a waste of money.

@@Max_ellis74 Honestly the stock intake probably flows well into 300 hp. I would have to see a flow analysis, but stock is best unless you want more sound.

They all pull air from the same location just above the rad same as factory so I don't see any advantages as far as colder air. A bigger cone filter might allow more air VOLUME, but I don't think volume is a problem with the factory style filter. Drop in a K&N filter in the factory box. But that's if your going bigger turbo only imo

@@krzysztofjargio2725 i have a a k&n in my 2.0 and it is very loud in sound and as far as power gain it is just a lot more responsive and is noticeably quicker from a stop

@@MWCRUSADER0508 Having switched from the MAP intake to the 27won, I can confirm that is the downside of 27won. The sound is a lot more comparable to stock.

how much did you pay for yours? i have a 2020 civic sedan sport manual. i only found a few intakes so far but i just started looking

Also just started looking into this and kept having questions about them with my manual. Maybe haven't found the right place to look but that's my main concern with everything saying SI most the time

I recommend the PRL Cobra, the MAPerformance is stainless steel, it gets super hot and the filter is literally next to the engine

I mean, I wouldn't drive your car through a pond or anything, but if you're concerned about rain you could always get a rain shield for the peace of mind!

Unfortunately not, car was put back to mostly stock and sold last week. We still support the EBM community for sure but aren't blazing a trail for it anymore.

@@tylerhuesman3749 I have the 27WON. I choose it over the PRL because of potential hydrolock if you hit a puddle, plus the filter is close to the top so it's not a pain to get it out to clean. It took about an hour to install, sounds awesome, and looks good.

@@qusai606 You can definitely hear the turbo a bit more even after I sound proofed the shit out of my car when all the damn road noise inside finally got to me. It's not screaming loud, but it's noticeable enough to make a lot more people want to race you. I don't know what it is about guys in Dodges that make them want to run with every Civic they come across.

I also don’t like how the cone ends up behind your fog light after the install for PRL.

Did you notice any gains? I’m trying to figure out what intake to get my mom for Christmas. She loves her si but is ready to start doing some mods. I also trying to find and exhaust that gives some gains without too much noise as this is for an engineer in her 50s that doesn’t want to roll into work being rowdy.

@@gcalifornia7271 smoked side markers, smoked led sequential taillights, front splitter, k&n cold air Intake, gloss black battle grille, 18in +38 offset 9.5in wide avid rims wrapped in Toyo extensa tires 235/40r18, resonator/muffler delete with cherry bomb glasspack where the resonator was and custom tip, type r replica wing that’s just a few I plan on switching to a takeda cold air intake because they just made one specifically for the 2.0l engine so the cushion on the hood fits right onto the intake to get a perfect fit with no hot air from the engine getting pulled in I’ll be getting the rv6 catless down pipe with ktuner going down to a takeda front pipe and custom pipe all the way back to 2 carbon fiber mufflers which I plan on putting a rear diffuser in to make everything look flush and clean I’ve ordered a carbon fiber steering wheel, strut bar, carbon fiber engine cover, new grille that will expose hella horns, smoked headlights, carbon fiber hood I’m gonna switch my rims to a bronze set of avids with function and form coil overs, eibach anti roll kit so there’s lots of stuff you can do to it just don’t expect to pull a lot of power out of the k20c2 engine it’s an economy car you can mod to be fun. Some people have successfully turbo charged that engine but you have to know what you’re doing. I strongly recommend heading over to civicx and making an account it’s a forum for 10th gen civic owners lots of nice helpful people there and my suggestion for first mod is always tires, rims and suspension it will instantly change the look of your car I suggest fitment industries for your tires, rims and suspension they offer excellent financing if you can’t afford it right off the bat.

As long as they have all the available places to him up emission hoses and sensors, it should be fine in most cases. Being CARB compliant only gets you a CARB sticker and makes the intake cost more. Most smog stations these days don't give two shits about a CARB sticker as long as everything in hooked up correctly.

Yes! But they have thier own separate models specifically made for the 10th gen hatchbacks. Currently, I am running PRL Motorsports "Cobra" Cold Air Intake 1.5T non-SI paired up with a tuned called TSP Stage 1 from Two Step Performance. I have about 7k miles running this setup for about a year now and so far no issues. By the way my car has a CVT transmission.
