Dezz Nutts that’s crazy man...Maybe you gotta bad one idk but I clean mine very thoroughly after every use since the 22 round is so dirty. So what I do after I clean it real good is I apply a very small amount of oil on the rails and then with my cloth I wipe it all off right after. A thin layer of oil will still be on the rail but it’s not noticeable as it’s very thin...You probably already know this but a lot of guns fail because of having too much lube which causes a build up of dirt in all the moving parts. If you get a build up then the pistol won’t perform properly, especially a 22LR. But it’s the same with any pistol... Also check your mags and make sure the spring is clean and working so as to get those rounds up to be chambered. Idk man, you might have gotten a lemon but mine shoots fine and that’s after 4000 rounds or more.

I also don’t think the 44 is going to hold up very well over time because of the way it was built. I wish when I was a kid we had cool guns like that Taurus. Good video for the specific topic. I'd like to see more. That being said the only 22lr pistol I own is a Beretta Neos. I used one to qualify for my CCL and bought my own a year later. It's not like any other 22lr but a ton of fun to shoot. I use it for golf balls at 7 yards. I hang them on strings and plink away. My EDC and also my bedside gun is .45 ACP so the 9mm trainers do me little good. I'm sure they'll help a lot of people. Thanks for posting.

You’re right on with everything you mentioned in this video. That 44 is a great gun as long as your shooting good ammo in it. My opinion is if your going to shoot a good gun shoot good ammo through it so you don’t risk damaging it due to a weak round and stove piping as well as many other things that could happen with cheap ammo. If I’m just having fun I pull out my p22 and then Id use cheap 22 ammo because I know for a fact it will take it but if I’m doing serious target shooting or training and or shooting my Glock44 which is a little higher end gun and more finicky I’m going to be using some good ammo hands down. Cheap ammos good for having some fun in a revolver or single shot and on occasion in guns that you know will eat them without problem. But if you want to do serious target shooting and sharpen your skills you have to have reliable ammo or else every bullet will just be all over the board in terms of load strength, trajectory, and reliability. I mean good ammos only a few bucks more when your talking shooting 22s it’s well worth the extra money in my opinion cheap ammo will just cause you pain and can potentially cause damage to your gun. I do use cheap ammo on occasion but only in the guns I know can handle cheap ammo and not fail and that’s only When I don’t care about how true the rounds will be and I’m just playing around shooting just too shoot again this is a killer video Brother hope to see more like this soon!!!

I'm a fan of conversions: CMMG .22 bolt for your AR and advantage arms .22 slide for your Glock or 1911. I have the Glock variant and if use their suggested ammo for 300-500 rds to break in then you can almost feed it anything. I used CCI blazer 40gr Rd nose to break in. Plus throw them in your Bug out bag w .22 ammo and you got your Armageddon guns

I had bought a Ruger 22/45 with a bull barrel, originally as a training pistol. The controls are in the same place as a 1911's controls, and the grip angle is the same, but really that's about it for it being similar to the 1911. I eventually re-purposed it to a bullseye target pistol with a So-Low mount holding a red-dot site and some Volquartsen internals. Now, that pistol is so accurate, it is downright boring to shoot. But, at least I used to do well on bullseye contests.

Hi, and thanks for the consistently great content. I have asked before, and am wondering, if you could recommend a .22LR AR trainer in a lefty ejection orientation? I have seen your video on the M&P 15-22, and would love to find such a gun with lefty eject and ambi controls. I know all the trolls and haters will be responding that I just need to learn to shoot righty, and I certainly have, but any constructive input will be welcome.

Honorable mention is the Heritage Arms Rough Rider .22lr revolver. It's single action, has a safety and you can buy .22 magnum cylinders for it. I know it's not a pistol, but still a great trainer.

If you ever get the chance try out a CZ-75 with the .22 cal. Kadet conversion. I like it so much I have a CZ-75 that I'm just leaving permanently switched to .22.

The statement that struck me was this is the same as my nightstand gun, It must be awful to live in an area where you feel the need to have a gun in your nightstand.

I have that very PPQ .22. I love to shoot it, almost more than my PPQ in 9mm. Want to get that Beretta as a trainer for my M9A3.

I want to get into hunting. Maybe on the other channel do a video or a series of hunting with a .22. Comparing short, LR, Magnum & Hornet. What can you effectively hunt, maximum effective range.

Can you please get ahold of a CZ 457 Varmint Precision Chassis? I’ve been waiting on someone to do a review for a while now and nobody has. You would be the perfect person to try it out! Thanks!

Hi Plinkster . You said in the video that it is hard to get 9 mm , well I live in mid Michigan and am having trouble finding .22 at times as well. Seems that with the stay at home order the gun shops are closed and the other places that carry .22 run out as fast as they come in. Thought you might want to know this . Stay safe .

Have you done a review of the top 5 target pistols...both old ones out of production...and new ones available now? I don't mind buying from Gunbrokers if it means getting an accurate shooter.

I started with a Smith&Wesson M&P 2.0 in 9mm and the wanted to shoot something which doesn't cost a much like the 9mm rounds. I ended up with the Walther PPQ M2 in .22 lr and never looked back. That gun is amazingly accurate (or I am a terrific shooter) so I decided after shooting the little Walther to get her big brother in .45. Wow what a gun. I am in love with Walther's guns so I might trade my M&P for a PPQ in 9mm. I recommend the Walther PPQ M2 in both .22 lr and .45 but be warned their trigger is a loose cannon .. literally. Those guns should be used only by someone who has experience with hand guns. Otherwise you might be in for a nasty surprise.

You had me till glock...unless you are training for malfunctions for glock, just get a .22 that's actually reliable with everything, for cheaper. Plus how is the Smith&wesson. 22 not on list and that junk is??????Great video and knowledgeable as always! Thank you
