I see the Schwann Meridian came in 1st place and I’m sure its a good product. However, how can a single geared trike be more functional than the multi geared variants that placed lower on the list? I’m looking to purchase a trike for my wife who has balance issues, but realize that we our riding tracks have many hills and we may have to go across bumps and turf. I guess I will look at the multi geared variants for this need.

I’d check out a local bike shop first and ask for advice. Then I’d make a purchase. It pays to get a more expensive bike if it’s well built and they might have second hand ones for resale

Walmart Margaritaville 7 speed aluminum frame folding adult Tricycle was $319, shipped to my local Walmart was $316.94 with the $20 off savings for the store pickup. It's basically a Kent International Trike made for Walmart. I believe that it has a 250lb rider weight limit.

All these videos and no one will tell me what I want to know. I'm 70 years old and 5'3" and I want to get a tricycle to ride around my condo complex, not on the street. Can someone tell me if I should get a 24 or 26 inch one? Until someone tells me I'm not investing hundreds of dollars in one that might be too big or too small. Thanks so much!

Trish, I have the same inclination and like you, can't get the answer I'm looking for. I'm 67 and 5 feet 5 inches, and just want to ride one around my condo property and over to the market next door, maybe to church a block away. I'm so apprehensive about spending the money and then ending up with a piece of junk. Good luck to both of us.

@@annerector8765 I'm going to get mine from Walmart so they can put it together for me. I've decided on this one: Kent 26" Adult, Alameda Folding Trike, White, I think. It's right at $300. Since the seat can be raised or lowered I've decided to stop worrying about the size of the trike. I know as a kid I rode a 26" two-wheeler so I'm going with that. Although, I might get a more comfortable seat, one with that backrest. I did google what info we were both looking for but every site mentioned your inseam so I gave up and decided on this trike. If it sucks I can always take it back for a refund. I DO NOT want to order it from someone I have to pack it back up if it does suck. That's why I'm going with Walmart. I know this probably doesn't help but it's the best I can do. Good luck to you and your trike.

On all reviews of trikes I have seen, the crappy Schwinn also comes out on top, suggesting to me that the pay the reviewer the best. I have a Schwinn now but for me the best was the Raleigh trike. Schwinn has given me trouble after trouble but the Raleigh was like the Mercedes I used to own, until someone stole by Raleigh,.

I own a Kent Bayside adult trike. Mine is steel not aluminum. Bought a Kent Monterey aluminum 7speed folding adult trike from Wal-Mart March 2017 on sale for $195. Marked down from $219. Free shipping to north Atlanta Wal-Mart. Free assembly at Wal-Mart. But for $99 ship to ur house & no free assembly. Amazon sells 7speed Kent Bayside adult trike for$549 delivered. But i think it is steel frame like my Bayside adult trike.

Isiena Kent Monterey aluminum 7speed folding adult trike is sold by Wal-Mart on their app. Normally $219 but black Fri, Xmas & winter sales these trikes sell fast for $195 free shipping to Wal-Mart store. Plus free assembly. At 5-foot nine inches seat post too short for me replaced with longer/taller seatpost. So at 5 feet u should be fine with a stock seatpost. It comes with a Mtn bike clamp for quick personal height adjustment. 26 inch diameter wheels. My Kent Monterey is red think blue is available. Good Luck!

In this day and age, it is been my understanding, that Schwinn bicycles and tricycles are junk. I would go for either or works man, PEDEGO and or any adult tricycle that allows for an electric motor and, if you needed a recombinant bicycle seat.

The bicycle with six speeds, should’ve been number one not that shitty Schwinn. The Schwinn I had, the one that which caused me to have a serious accident, when I was 13 years old, was blue and did not have a basket. It wasn’t red like the one that which was described in this video. It was probably the Schwinn Mouradian. Not the Schwinn town and country, that which I know is definitely cherry color and or maroon color. I’ve seen the Schwinn town and country online. And that one is built by Pacific cycles not Schwinn. I still feel Pedego, Workmen and the one in this video with six speeds are number one in my book. In addition to having 24 inch wheels, I would want wheels that had treads just like car tires so I can go up mountain trails if I wanted to. In any case though, I would agree with you. FUCK SCHWIN.!

STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT OLD PEOPLE MUST USE TRICYCLE IF THEY GO OUT INSTEAD OF USING BICYCLE. TRICYCLE IS MORE STABLE. AS THE LEGS OF THE OLD PEOPLE ARE LESS STRONG THEY CANNOT REACT FAST WHEN THEY ARE BEING KNOCKED FROM WHATEVER SIDES. THEY NEED THE EXTRA WHEEL TO REMAIN STABLE WHEN THEY STOP.

Avoid the Komodo. My friend bought one from Amazon 2 years ago. Came in a hundred pieces and had a damaged derailer. It cost him $170 to have professionals build it after he gave up. He has made multiple repairs $$$ and now given the trike to me. It needs more work. The rear brake doesn't work, he told me the bike shop said the part will be $150.Neither of the parking brakes works either. Might just buy a Schwinn Meridian instead. I saw a homeless man riding one a few days ago and he looked very comfortable so I checked out his trike. I like how the pedals are further forward on the Schwinn too.

I don't know why this says I commented a year ago. I purchased #1 in this video, the Schwinn Meridian (26" blue) Christmas 2018 and we could not be happier. My son and I go on extended bike rides almost everyday. He LOVES his bike.

It is also a great advantage that the factory is in the USA and you can buy any part if you ever need one. Every single part no matter how large or small can be purchased for repair and replacement, so this rugged tricycle should last a lifetime.

@@helenapratama5229 It's a TRICYCLE - it has three wheels. It stands up by itself, no need to park in a rack - and it is WIDE, so you would be hogging the while rack making it hard for others to share. Just park it on flat ground near something you can lock it to.

Čudi me da nijedan tricikli koji je odraz funkcionalnosti nema prednji gepek koji bi svakako bio od velike koristi jer niko ne vozi tricikli zbog trka nego iz raznoraznih i zdravstvenih problema gde i pored bolesti tu je i starost kada se već jednom dobro obradi tehniku vožnje tricikla koji nema nikakve veze sa vožnjom bicikla upereni smo da bude što funkcionalniji i praktičniji za nošenje svakakog tereta kada već nismo fokusirani na brzinu od tačke A do tačke B.

Cycling people call these trikes: Delta Trikes. Trikes with 2 steering wheels in front & 1 in back are called: Tadpole Trikes. Tadpoles prices start about $2000.00. They're also recumbent (bent) form of bicycles. I bought a Kent Monterey aluminum 7speed folding adult trike from Wal-Mart March 2017. The only trike I'd ride is a recumbent otherwise I would pick a two-wheeled bicycle over these tricycles that look like bicycles with three wheels I just recently bought one and I cracked up as soon as I got on it the first time I hit a curb and the tire in the front blew out second thing when I tried to make a sharp turn I tilted it over and fell so I figured I can't make no sharp turns with this kind of a bicycle so I started to make wider turns in the street and all the cars around me decided they didn't like that so they started honking their horns at me these tricycles are very, very dangerous I would not recommend them to anybody let alone seniors.
