Live To Rock The New 52 Batman is amazing. Go buy yourself the Court of Owls storyline. Batman Year Zero is a great read as well

Flash is not my favorite superhero, but (in my most humble opinion) I believe he is one of the greatest characters, and one of the most powerful, I believe he could give Superman a run for his money! (No pun intended).

I actually dislike the fact that both Marvel and DC have a trademark on the word "Superhero" as it has led to them taking legal actions against smaller publications for using the word. The way I see it, if your work and characters have inspired other writers and artist to try their hands at comic books, why take actions that make you look like your only interested in a bottom line? Comic books are a business, I get it, but I feel that actions like these help to stunt creativity and prevent a genre from evolving. Maybe there's an angle I'm not considering here, but that's just how I see it.

+jdawg5391 Actually the trademark affects the term regardless of how it's spelled.

+jdawg5391 That's why I said the "term" not "word". DC and Marvel thought ahead and new people would try to get around the trademark using that trick, hence why the trademark affects the term however you choose to spell it. There's all kinds of places you could go to look up the conditions and motivations for the trademark. And like I said before, I don't like the way it was handled.

+jdawg5391 I'm seeing the exact opposite. Where Marvel and DC have taken legal actions and state they own a trademark on the term regardless of how it is spelled. I also really really love the New 52 title. Amazingly colored, beautiful and dynamic art, stellar story telling, and a really creative take on my favorite scarlet speedster :D

When i read flashpoint it turned to my favorite flash comic too and then i heard about the movie which is basically a cinematic version of the comic in a cartoony style

I'm glad you name dropped "Move Forward". I LOVE the first run of New 52, it probably takes up most of my spots. Besides that, I also have to say "The Dastardly Death of the Rogues". Sorry, I've only read modern Barry stories, but he's my favorite!

One of my personal favorite stories is Rogue War. Essentially, the Rogues have divided into factions and are duking it out, and Flash is in the middle trying to be the referee. There's some fun time-bending mechanics, a cool twist ending, almost all of the Flash's villains make an appearance, and if you have any questions about the Flash's mythos, this story we answer all your questions.

I agree with all of those stories, although I've never read Flash of Two Worlds. I also adore Dastardly Death of the Rogues because it combines the writing of Johns and the art of my favourite guy, Francis Manapul. Also, the Rogues are just fantastic, colourful and genuinely interesting characters.

Nice list, I really loved Flashpoint too but then I really love alternate history stories. For a future list how about a top 5 or 10 out of continuity stories (The Nail, Kingdom Come, The Golden Age, The New Frontier)

Im not a comic book reader, but I like to hear about the stories of superheroes, thats why I suscribed to this channel, if I understood correctly, Flash´s storyline is responsable for introducing the multiverse, I didnt know that, thats pretty cool, I liked the Flash but learning these type of things made me gain more respect for the character.

I think personally the reason they used a Focal point on Flash is because he is one of the only Earthbound heroes that can actually break the Time/dimensional Barriers so He is the one that can fix something broken in time/space/dimension.

The Flash is my most favorite superhero of all time. For some reason, I was always drawn to his character and abilities. yo Arris WB has just announced that Ezra Miller will be playing the Flash and Jason Momoa is confirmed to be Aquaman in the DCCU. They've also revealed their movie line-up for the next 6 years which consists of 2016: Suicide Squad, 2017: Wonder Woman, Justice League (Part I), 2018: The Flash, Aquaman, 2019: Shazam, Justice League (Part II), 2020: Cyborg, and lastly a Green Lantern reboot. Batman and Superman are also getting new solo films but they dont have dates yet. Just thought I'd let yall know if you didnt already

An Epic Battle idea would be Heckler vs Slapstick and a History of video for each would be really cool too. If you haven't heard of either of the characters, I highly recommend them. They are hilarious.

Yes! The Flashpoint Paradox is the my favourite DC storyline of all time but only my third favourite comic book storyline. My top two are 1. Days of Future Past and 2. The Dark Phoenix Saga.

Wally West was a much better Flash than Barry Allen. Johns' retconning Barry creating the Speed Force was complete bullshit.

How was it bullshit? If any flash should have been responsible for creating the speed force, it would've been Jay Garrick. Besides, bringing Barry back to be a lesser version of Wally would have been an insult to the silver age in general. All of the flashes, even Jesse Quick (for the short time that she was one,) should be respected for the stories that they have been in.

Another good storyline to mention is "The Dark Flash." It occurred during a time when Wally West had disappeared and a new Flash appeared. He's referred to as "The Dark Flash" because, while his costume is red, it is such a dark shade that it looks black except for the portions that are in direct light. The mystery was who this new Flash was, and there were clues in the story (such as Superman, Donna Troy, and Jay Garrick all immediately trusting him when he showed them his face [out of sight of the audience], that kept you guessing.

Flashpoint paradox is one of my favourite DC animated film. The ending where he gave Batman the letter and made him shed tears made me cry too. Also it was a nice subtle reference to the first Flash (where his outfit was based on the Greek God of travel, Hermes).

You should read the trial of the flash if you haven't already. Very we'll written story. It's hard to find a hard copy of but you can find it on comixology. It's like 12 issues long though.
