What I don't like about wireless gaming headsets is you have to charge the battery all the timie. too annoying for me. I prefer the wired , just connect it and forget about it.

I hate wired because they get wrapped around my arm on my chair without me know and when I go to get up it bring the headphones and whatever is near it down with them cuz the cord is wrapped around the arm wrest

The only benefit of getting a Razer and Steel Series is that they update their drivers. Hopefully, they will be smart enough to keep it up to date.

Great informative video. I have a pair of Hyper X Cloud II that I still use, but I’m going to retire, because the faux leather headband and ear cups are falling apart and the plastic pieces for the ear cup height adjustments have broken and fallen apart this year. I think my body oils and constant pressure finally caused them to fall apart, but otherwise they served me well for about 3.5 years. I really like doing extensive research so I get the best value for my money and these vids help a ton, thanks again

@@mr.t7213 I ended up getting the EPOS H6 closed back headset and it was a little under $200 after taxes. There is a review by RandomFrankP that goes into detail. So far they’re comfy, build quality is great and they sound amazing compared to my old headset. There’s deep bass and everything sounds more detailed. There’s some negative reviews about the volume but they’re loud and I only plug mine into my Xbox controller

I’m in the market for a new headset and I was takin a look at the one you ended up buying. If you could get back to me on how it’s performing and the comfortability.

I've had razer kraken X it broke within a year. One day when i picked it up it just fell apart because almost the entire headsrt is made out of plastic.

i have the corsair hs80 and i like them. theyre comfortable and easy to use but the battery isnt that great and the microphone has some issues where it connects/disconnects sometimes. muting and unmuting fixes it, but its still a hassle.

I’ve had my blacksharkV2x for about 6 months with daily use, I’ve had absolutely zero problems. They still feel and look brand new. I GURANTEEE you will enjoy this headset very much. With the price of these you literally can’t go wrong. The quality of the headset is amazing Razer built them to last. The ear pads are still nice and firm and plush not all flat and squashed. They make for very easy long gaming sessions, basically forget your wearing them. The lightweight feel is awesome because it’s donsent clamp onto your head like a vice. The ear pads make for amazing noise cancellation because the firm soft cups make a super good seal on your head. The sound quality is what you expect from a very expensive headset. The “triforce 50mm drivers” really put in the work and you can tell. They have lots of bass and the bass hits hard and clean without drowning out everything else with the mids and highs being crisp and punchy just flowing crystal clear and natural. Footsteps, reloading, callouts, i game audio ques are so easy to pinpoint exact location of where the sounds coming from,feeling very balanced. The volume knob can be turned up alotttt, I keep mine at right below half and it’s plenty loud. The microphone is literally the best it can get for the price of these. Razer really did some magic with it. I’ve gotten many compliments saying how natural my voice sounds. And how it sounds IRL. I’ve heard of people say that this mic is just as good as “streamer mics” or standalone mic. It only picks up your voice without picking up background noise (ceiling fan,tv, people talking etc). Razer seriously sprinkled some magic into this headset. It’s the best bang for the buck, even more tbh. Out of all the choices in this video the blacksharks and astros are the only ones you should decide on.

I have the A40 and just bought a monitor that does not have an optical port. I plugged the other cord in and it rings like crazy. Anyone else have this issue or have a headset with a mix amp that does not use an optical cable?

Do all these wired headsets have a connector for the headphones, and a connector for the mic? my computers an ROG and doesnt like having a single 3.5 for both. At least not from my Xbox S series headset. Box says it works for Windows 10. And I'm not computer savvy enough to figure it out. Should i be plugging it into a front 3.5 or a rear 3.5? and which rear if so? I tried setting the devices in windows setting. the mic is barely picking me up, unless i yell, or eat my mic. Not sure what else to do, but just run split connection headsets or an adapter. Fork over the cash for wireless. any advice is helpful.

Astro A50 user here, personally i dont see it as a headset worth its proce, ive nver used a headset with more issues that kept on coming up, tho its not the best on that aspect, the sound quality is great excluding the surround sound being difficult to comprehend where sounds are actually coming from, the mic is also not the best, i get loads of comments about being to quiet while my input volume is maxed, also the sidetone has bin turned down completely yet still proceeds to make its way through, and another big issue, for no apparent reason the mic will just stop working with no indication, and you have to usually reset your mic to fix the issue

Bought my A50s Gen4 in March 2020 and they are still amazing. It’s incredible how deep you can EQ tweak them with the Astro command app + Dolby Access

I have had so many issues with mine. Constantly disconnecting from discord. Always having to hard reset them. Volume stops work. Won’t turn off. Won’t turn on. Won’t register on the base station. They do sound great when they work and are very comfy. That’s it tho. Hate them.

@@duckhead89 i know there is a lot of people that had issues with them. It’s a reliability test when you buy them. Need to make sure you can be on a warranty when you buy them. I think it’s one year with Astro

Had the Arctis Pro Wireless for a nearly a year when the plastic around where the headband connects into the ear-cup started to crack and break. Got a replacement, it lasted 6 months.

Hear about this a lot man. I've had my Arctis 7 Wireless for 4 years and only now is that problem starting to arise. It probably has to deal with the fact the entire weight of the earcup is hanging off it, and it would be fine, if it wasn't made of freaking plastic.

I use Astro a40 from like mlg edition so i guess 2013 or something, they have been the most durable headset ever, however i can say the quality sound isnt the greatest, but its solid for me and has lasted years

I bought Logitech g pro x wireless headphones in general for gaming, but especially for PUBG, and I almost screwed up! middle and high tones are well expressed, but low tones are a disaster! for example, I can barely hear the opponent's footsteps, as well as everything near me, what is happening! Just a heads up for the G Pro X Wireless, I've had mine for about a year the parts that hold each side where you adjust the headset started to come off or split. Of course I can try to glue it back together but I hate for one mistake to happen where I can't adjust them again. Basically, if its not glued or taped together, my headset will keep auto adjusting its self everytime I pick it up. I've had to use tape and it just looks really ugly now. Really regret buying it now. Issue looks to be because of the small cable that runs from the top of each cup to the headband sides, it keeps pulling at it causing it to pull away.

Don't touch the SteelSeries until they come up with a more durable design. The pivot points where the earcup connects to the headset cracks. Once this crack begins, it spreads rapidly because of the pressure of the earcup against your head.

Literally every headset mentioned gets burned in comments. Do no new headsets nowadays even last? My previous turtle beach lasted 7 years, current one issues upon issues and after a year I can't stand it anymore. I've had the pro x wireless for about 2 years. They are phenomenal in every regard BUT recently I started getting a strange crackling and occasionally audio will just cutout completely. Seems to be driver issue incompatibilities with the latest windows updates. Hopefully I'll be able to fix it.

I have the astro a50, the sound is good and everything, but its so heavy, after a while of wearing it my skull start to get soar. And the charging dock is very sensitive, if you dont put it exactly right it wont charge witch is very annoying

I find the design of the Logitech G Pro X and the Razer Blackshark V2 headsets somewhat similar to the design of the Hyper X Cloud headset. I might be wrong, but that's just my opinion. If you have a different opinion about it, you can just put it under my comment.

i have an arctis 7p, i'd say its been a really good headset but now after a year its started to mess up with my pc by cutting out audio and microphone but it seems as if its something to maybe do with the drivers as when i use the headset without being in a online chat it works perfectly fine

I love my Razer Kraken X especially because of the sound quality it has but the durable plastic is a lie... it's literally hold together by hotglue and ductape for me right now. I haven't thrown it or anything but i suspect that this hot summer wasn't healthy for the material and made it weaker... or my head is just too big for it XD

2 years and still running, I tested other headset and by far I stuck to it and had no issues whatsoever, It's light weight and sometimes I don't even feel it on my head when im gaming for hours, sound is wonderful also and you have the option to tweek it to your needs. I have a pc with graphics card nvdia rtx 3070. So as a owner of this headset for 2 years I do recommend it. But if you find something else then great for you also :). I am satisfied with my headset though. But mines is the black shark v2 pro.

Just gonna drop my experience with the Astro A50's here: Ease of use: Stellar, plug it in to a PC, Xbox, PS and it will work. Audio Quality: Pretty good, not the best sound I've ever had, couldn't ever get dolby audio to work correctly despite many, many attempts. Comfortability: Garbage. You may buy this and think, ah hey this is pretty comfortable! Over time, I personally guarantee the pads on the ears and head will wear down. This happens faster than you'd think, and man it gives you headaches. I'm looking for an upgrade purely because of this. You can swap out the top and side covers very easily which is nice, but no replacement they sell has high enough quality for this to be worth it for me. Verdict: Only buy if you intend to use this for no more than about a year.

Had mine since they came out with them, loved them ever since. Feels nice on my ears and lighweight, sound on them is pretty nice too. Never had a problem with the bluetooth in it or the battery life

@@negus5534 yes hyper X I concluded that after only having 0 good experience with razer and hearing how cheaply made and easily it gets broken I said even IF the sounds a little bit worse which I doubt cause most e Sportlers use the alpha or cloud 2 anyway so It can't be that bad Also I prefer design over the v2

I got the blackshark v2 about 19 months ago and had zero problems with it ,the sound is great and also it's not cheaply made, after many hours of daily use they still look and feel like the first day I bought them. It's a solid pick and I'll recommend it for sure.

One of the best headphones is underated Redragon Zeus 2 H510. Its like 50 bucks, great 7.1 surrounding sound, amazing detachable mic, 6m good quality cable and plus 3.5mm input for phone. Amazing software, easy to use and with range of settings.

If the A50s were reliable they’d be the best. Without fail, I have to unplug every day in order to get them to work. Once working they’re amazing. For the price they should work regularly.

I just bought the Astro A50 and you can't update the firmware for it. Their software is crap! Force you to use the microsoft store to get the app. Firmware update fails over and over again. For $300 this is unacceptable! Looks like I'll be returning mine for something else.

I just bought the Astro a50, i am soooo disappointed. the software is garbage and doesnt work nor was it updating. So many bad reviews about the software. For 300 dollars, i expected it to be great. While in discord, i was playing a music video on youtube and the people in my discord can hear my music. When i cover the mic, they can still hear it. I tried everything and nothing. the software i can overlook, but this issue, was unacceptable. this never happened with all my other headsets. Idk how to resolve this. Anyone know how to stop the people in my discord hearing the sound thats coming from youtube or in game?

I experienced many issues with it as well such as a buzzing noise or even outright disconnecting. The guy who sold me it warned me about this as well and mentioned he bought several and all brand new and they all had the same issues I did.

@@RustBot69 absolutely more than enough, I’m on my third pair and have used them since release. The only downside is that the ear cups start to flake after a year or so.

@@ProfessionalBoxer not that I’m aware of…the cloud alpha 2’s are the best budget long lasting headset I’ve ever touched tbh (I’m still rocking the cloud alpha 1’s from Aug 2019).. plus i think the new ones come with replacement ear pads now (from what my brother told me) one issue I did have tho was the adjustable strap on the left side got loose after years of use (but probably because i used to throw my headset 😂). Definitely get the alpha 2’s surprising very good lasting lineup of headsets

Astro 50 is at sh… It sounds great but it only lasts from 6 months to a year and they are very very expensive, I don't recommend them to anyone

A50s are really Bad in Any Game, can’t understand Why, a40 tr + mix amp tr was way better, a50 should cost 100$ for what they do. 😩😔

@@tylerrassi4148 buzzing yeah, disconnection… now that u Said it, îs Also true, many times in the middle of the Game, sound goes Away, and need to disconnect the mix amp from the pc, and connect it back, cause if i only turn the Astro’s off/on, the headset doesn’t work anyway 🤦🏼‍♂️😅

@@tylerrassi4148 but for me the major problem is the sound, I bought a razer kraken pro for a friend cause He used to play with a 5€ headset, and sometimes he has better audio than me on a50’s … and that razer headset cost me 38€ with free delivery 😅 … my A50’ was 250€

i dont agree with your choise of "best wireless" because the Steelseries "Arctis Pro Wireless" and "arctis nova pro Wireless" have basicaly infinite batery life and sooo much more usefull features

Major reason for me why wireless is better than wired is because the wire or the metal part at the end always breaks before the mic breaks and there’s nothing you can do about it usually. with wireless the worst thing that can happen is the mic breaks which is a lot harder to do, plus even if the cable breaks to charge it it is a lot less expensive than a whole headset. Also you get the benefits of just not having the wire

ehh ive owned one for 2 years still work great mic is the only thing that hasnt held up i wear them for literally 12 hours at a time if you dont use the optical cable they sound like poop

Razer... I could be wrong here. But I had... like 3 different Razer headsets and 4 keyboards in my lifetime. All 3 headsets broke a year into being used. And the keyboards as well never lasted for longer then a year, year in a half max. So... no, id never advise people to buy anything from there (This was 5+ years ago). If its different now ? I stand corrected. But bs like that does not become good over night. The only thing that lasted me almost 10ish years ? The original razer naga. You want a good keyboard ? Go Roccat, headset ? Sennheiser. Razer is overprices and very very poorly made.

I had bought Razer Kraken X and it got snapped within an year of use. The sound quality is pretty good for its price but poor build quality Anyway thanks for the info mate!

I’ll be honest with ya I’m a little mixed with Razer at the moment, still have a more positive view of them than negative but I’ve had the same mouse and keyboard for 2 or 3 years now, the current headset I have is wireless and it seems to have the low battery beep(it’s a wireless headset) appear at the most random of times, I’ll have it charging for 8+ hours and the beep will come on within 10 minutes of being turned on. Makes me want to transition back to a wired head set

My Steelseries Wireless Pro has absolutely no directional sound. I have to install several programs in order to get directional sound which is very disappointing.

The logitech G Pro X Wireless is by far one of the worst wireless headsets ever made. First of all the microphone is complete crap compared to its wired version which is 1/3rd of the price, and for anything better they charge you an extra $80 on an already $250 headset. Second of all there seems to be a constant static defect on every headset manufactured when they are turned on regardless if they are even connected to audio, which the manufacturer has failed to address.

As a person with Astro's, I can confidently say you should not buy them. They're very overpriced and provide subpar audio performance. Instead, I strongly recommend HyperX headphones. Comfortable, great audio, and 10/10 support from their support teams.

I am having an issue with my Astros where the mic doesnt come back on after its been flipped down from the off position. Also, the head support cushion has fallen off. For the price the build quality is pretty shite

The Logitech G Pro sucks! I had one for about a year and a half and the left side stopped producing sound. I had other problems with it in the beginning, like the mic not picking up my voice and some cable issues. Make sure that cord is plugged in tight to the headset itself. I wouldnt ever buy the wireless ones because that would probably have so much trouble with the connectivity. I wouldnt buy any Logitech brands ever again, just because of its stupid spyware software you have to install with their products on pc and they seem to be cheaping out on their products too.
