On the high end, better than the Alienware DW, go for the DWF because mainly of the software update ability. It’s also lower at $800 from Dell, with a $100 dell GC. Got one for like $660, after 18% CB from Raku, and 5% CB Chase/Paypal. Including the 100 dell GC, a 34 QDOLED for $560 is a killer deal.

How would you compare the AW2724dm to the Dell g2724d recently released ? After looking at the rtings review, it seems to me that they are basically the same but the aw has worst text clarity. The g2724d was recently priced at 200 euros, so does it even make sense to get the aw that costs 300+ ?

I’ve been waiting for someone to properly review the Dell g2724d as well. it seems great. 27” Fast ips, 165hz, /gsync/freesync premium/vesasync, it’s only vesa hdr400, (but no one ReAlLy expects crazy good hdr for 300-350 It seemed like such a great deal and product I bought it for 319.99(cad) even though theirs not a real in depth review on it…

I’ve actually been look at these and what I’ve found is they’re basically the same monitor except for some key differences. The Alienware has the following features the dell does not: USB Hub Can be factory overclocked up to 180hz (Dell is stuck at 165hz) OSD controls are in a better location making switching to HDR easier The looks Otherwise they see to be the same in every other way. I’m likely getting the Alienware but if none of the above is important to you you’ll save over $100 going with the dell version and get a bit better text clarity.

Good price for an oled 1440p 240hz monitor when you compare to offerings of others (LG, Asus etc). But what is to consider is the features these brand offers, and the quality, and longevity of the panels.

Everything he said about it is spot on so far. I love this monitor but all I really had to compare the monitor with is my VA 32 inch Samsung curved monitor. That thing is not good even at 75hz. Plus the colors are awful compared to the Pixio. @@niyazzmoithu20

Almost 1k$ for a 42 inch TV is insane. You can get gaming monitors in 4k for cheaper that are just as good if not better and a gaming monitor is always better than a gaming tv

I understand the pricepoint of these alienware is good deal, but do people really love ultrawide monitors? I would hate all the drawbacks and would never use. I also think it is best to have 2 more reasonably sized monitors for majority of users including gamers.

I just got the Samsung OLED G8. Same panel as the Alienware ultrawide with a few more features. It's awesome.. I'd never go back.
