Hey mate. your videos are packed full of info and are fantastic. Could I make 1 little suggestion though. Try slowing your talking down. You have great info to pass on to us and you have us engaged with what your saying, so there's no need to rush it like we are going somewhere else if you don't tell us fast enough :). Just thought I'd mention it. But still fantastic videos and info to. Your editing is great to. Keep up the great work!!

Today I spotted my first honey gourami fry in my aquarium. I didn't do anything to make them breed. I only spotted two fry though, so I think my guppies or their parent ate most of them. Pretty easy fish to keep as well.

Those Plecos are an evasive species in the State of Florida. There are many other easier fish to breed. Convicts need a bigger tank to breed. Guppies are perhaps the easiest fish to breed. Enjoyed watching! Thank you for sharing!

those are common plecos. The reason why there's so many is cuase they are cheap and pet stores convince poeple to buy them has a cleaning fish even when said customer has a 10 gallon.cuasing poeple to end up with a monster fish they can't properly house. Common plecos really do not belong in the hands of beginners cuase they are actually one of the largest speices and are they omnivous. Bristelnose plecos normally aren't released cuase they cost more,actually eat algae and are a lot smaller meaning they can be housed in a reasonably sized tank.they also aren't pushed onto poeple has much.
@needless2048
@needless2048 5 жыл бұрын
@@briannaharter4411, Bristlenose Plecos are around the same price as Common Plecos at common pet stores. Maybe a few cents more. But it is true that commons are bought more due to people working in the fish departments not usually being as informed as they should be. Also, cause* and people*

The endler is an easy to breed live bearer that doesn’t eat it’s young. The lambchop and harlequin rasbora are egg layers that most beginners can get to reproduce. The lampeye killifish is an egg scatterer that is super beginner friendly, and easy to reproduce. There are tons of really fun fish that will make babies in almost any planted tank! Guppies have to be the easiest by far, but honestly, I wouldn’t reccomend mollies for most beginners. Their water parameters are not that standard.

Black molly is the best molly imo! They are really easy to breed but as with all live bares you should have more females then males! The mickey mouse platties are amazing but do tend to be messy as with all platties! In total agreement with guppies best fish in the hobby imo! Good content 1st time here will be back!

On top of the guppys, endlers breed like crazy, i bought some females with the intention of introducing them to a few of my males, this was about february/march time, I haven't even introduced them to my males yet and they're still dropping fry towards the end of june! They've all given birth at least 3/4 times so far, it's about once a month.

Would not recommend breeding convicts unless you have a bigger tank. Liked the video, but you should include telling the maximum size of the fish you're including in the video. Such as telling people that Male Convict Cichlids can get to around 6.5 inches long and the Females can get to around 4.5 inches long, or that Bristlenose Plecos get to around 5-6 inches at maximum size. Other than that, great video. 👍

Interesting I kept Mollies for many years, and could never get them to breed. I was told this was because they werent in a brackish tank. I can confirm Convict and parrot cichlid are prolific breeders. I started with 3 breeding pairs of convicts. They change sex if you don't have the right ratio. So no worries if you start with too many of one or the other. The first year breeding we had produced 500 fry. Don't recommend a pair of convicts to anyone anymore unless they have a source to sell the fish every 3 months minimum. Parrots were a little easier, I male and 2 females, we got about 20-30 fry a year, and could spread the sales across a couple local stores.

Mollies are cool because they can hold the sperm of males up to five pregnancies so they can carry fry every month up to 5 or 6 months.. my lyretail dalmation just blew out 85 fry in 2 months and now i had to buy a 10 gallon just for the fry and later a 55 to hold them before i give them to a good home for free! also had to buy a 5 gallon just to culture daphnias to feed 'em. I love this part (breeding and giving away) about the hobby! Of course i just dont hand them out like chips, i need to know if you have minimum aquarium space to hold at least one and if you know how to take care of the tank itself!
