My toxic trait is starting a new productivity system periodically and simply "forgetting" or dumping my old system. Do you have this issue and if so how do you get past this issue/

not really, i find something that work and i stick with it until i find something better that i try with a small amount of work, gage if it works well, and then migrate only if the pain of migration is offset by the value gain of the new system

I'm 2 months in and Ginkgo Writer has been nice for work - whenever I go down a rabbithole and need to do thing x, but x requires x1, x2, x3, and x1 requires y1, ... y10, the tool has been pretty good at capturing that level of nesting. Recently starting a new job has really made me stop putting off seeking help though, so I recently got my ADHD-C diagnosis (and got prescribed Concerta). As much as I do somewhat regret needlessly stressing over things during my undergrad that I could have alleviated by seeking treatment earlier, it is definitely better late than never. I see you've been busy with school and work as well, so I hope for the best in both of our ventures. Your videos have supercharged my Obsidian usage at work, and with more practice I'm sure Ginkgo will do the same. Looking forward to what you'll make for us next!

Just started watching this, but I love the way you talk at the beginning. I feel like if I showed this to anyone else they would say "what the fuck is he going on about" but I literally go round in circles saying the same basic things in different ways ALL THE TIME. It's not intentional but it ends up helping me say what I want to say, the different ways of saying something help narrow down my thoughts by cutting off potential mis-interpretations.

I’ve got ASD, not ADHD but so much of this resonated with me. I’ve been using ToDoist on and off for years, and currently heavily invested in making it work. Just started with Morgen, love it so far. I currently work with a large multinational company, getting accomodations like this aren’t easy to get through IT Security, but hopefully once I do, things will be so much easier. So glad I stumbled onto your content, it’s awesome, thanks heaps! 😊

Hey Bryan! So glad to find your channel, been really enjoying the content. Per your advice I've adopted Morgen. I'm trying to figure out the value of this integration. When I drag the task into the calendar, it just creates a calendar event object on one of my personal calendars. You mention building task blocks by dragging them over and checking them off upon completion. How are you doing that? Thanks!

13:04 Killer feature of Morgen IMHO. I wish there was a way of doing the same with Things 3. The workaround is having Things and iCal open at the same time on my 2nd monitor while I work, which works fine, but I just wish drag and drop was better integrated.

As a recommendation for hearing back text on your screen, this is the main use case for screen readers (assistive technology for blind folks). On Mac, they have a built in Accessibility setting called "VoiceOver" complete with a tutorial. On Windows, you'll need to download a third party reader, like NVDA (free) or JAWS (paid, popular). I use these as a sighted person, but need them to test web accessibility as a web dev.

I work in non IT field but I'm a hobbyist programmer I was really into programming at such a young age...but I never really improved much since the age of 17yo to now 31 yo... so I was pretty IT savvy but I noticed that I NEVER master any of it(I could be messing with reverse code engineering, assembly, webdev, mobile apps dev, 2d to 3d game dev and others)...one of the field I was trying is 2D game development.....I would always take some udemy course ofcourse and never would actually finish it because to actually learn one thing I would need to refer to 10 more videos just to learn one concept, which is obviously not a cool place for an ADHD dude.... any tips from you that pushed you to atleast have mastery in your field?
