Where the hell is Li Na? 😂

Sharapova's crosscourt was just so rock solid...very satisfying when she just lets it rip with everything she has. She's so tall too that she can be at the baseline and rip a crazy short angle with extreme pace.

We can all agree that JJ had an amazing backhand.

Collins has the best BH on the WTA tour now. She takes it so early and on the rise. I have seen more than 100 return winners from Collins on the BH wing

This should be a top ten for sure... Venus (arguably the best backhand ever), Wozniacki, Halep, Li Na, and Kerber.

Sharapova's backhand shots were like missile launchers, very low and flat and fast with high accuracy. In my opinion JJ's backhand is overrated because unlike the other players listed there was too much of a disparity between her down the line and cross court.

Kerber‘s backhand is so underrated. It is rock solid and her passing shots are out of this world. It’s not always just about speed and spin.

I Venus might now be a threat these days , but in her hay days , here back was lethal. I definitely thought she was going to be number. Any tennis that’s has been watching tennis since back in the day , Venus had the best backhand.

I also want to mention, Li Na, Davenport, and Wozniacki. Halep has a descent backhand too!

Venus Williams in 2000-2002 had the deadliest 2 handed backhand I'd ever seen... Her match against Monica Seles at the 2000 Pilot Pen Open (Warm-Up for the US Open) was pure bullet power from her backhand... Also 2001 US Open Semifinal against Capriati after being down 1-4 in the first, she just started hitting bullets

Azarenka seems like a miss here, it's the only reason she's won two slams. Myskina, Dementieva, and Safina also all had gorgeous backhands

I’m a big fan of ur channel and most of the times I agree with you snd u makes my days better with ur shady drama videos (which I love) Anyway this time I have to disagree about few things : - including Collins next to WTA LEGENDS like Sharapova, Serena, Henin, Jankovic (cuz even tho she didn’t win as much as the other 4 we totally agree that her down the line backhand was something everybody still remembers) was inappropriate; Danielle literally has just literally started her high lever career; let’s see how long she’s gonna be on this level where she is right now. Too soon, and the other females were just phenomenal. Last but not least; I should have definitely included in your list these few here : - Davenport (no need to say why, none has ever hitten the ball like Davenport used to. Fast, flat, heavy, penetrating and damn she was EFFORTLESS from both forehand and backhand) -Clisters could do whatever she wanted with her backhand, plus her speed she was just phenomenal -Azarenka : another as beautiful as deadly weapon she was always using it (both cross court which was absolutely like a bullet and down the line as well) let’s not forget her golden age at the AO where she won for two years a a row : I clearly remember she destroyed Sharova for instance, with same game. But Vika overpowered Sharapova many times when the rally was like BACKHAND against BACKHAND. Done, hope someone will share my opinion guys!

Daniela Hantuchova backhands were terrific.

At their absolute bests, this is how I’d rank the backhands; 1. Venus 2. Justine 3. Sharapova 4. Hingis 5. Jankovic Other honorable mentions definitely include Serena, Clijsters and Azarenka. We have yet to see Danyel’s backhand against better opposition on a consistent basis on all surfaces to have her in top 5 let alone top 10.

To make this a top 10 and make more people happy I'd add Li Na, Simona Halep, Timea Bacsinzsky, Belinda Bencic, and Venus Williams.

Technically speaking, Li Na’s is just about the best backhand ever on the WTA Tour. High takeback, good racquet drop, no technical quirk to speak of. It rarely ever broke down. (If only her forehand was the same) She is a top 3 of all time easily. Martina Hingis’s backhand, while not as powerful as she grew up in a different era, was also incredible. (Again, if only her forehand was the same)

Would’ve loved a top 10 list for this. My faves is Sharapova.

Lots of players have decent backhands, and I agree with all the names. It's just about how they executed that shot in the moments they need it.

Ash Barty's slice backhand is absolutely underrated. It should have been there. Ash Barty's slice backhand was great weapon in Barty's arsenal. With it, Barty was able to dominate the match and easily dictate the match. It was so good, that noone was able to find an answer to it.

I am sorry but Venus Williams and Maria Sharapova have the best two backhands of all time followed by Serena. Henin would slice it anytime she got nervous and Jankovic had no variety in it, it was mostly the big one down the line.

Naomi has a decent bh cross court too. But I definitely feel Li Na should've been on this list along with Venus. Clijsters as well had a solid and consistent bh. From the list, Danielle's looked the best but Sharapova was probably the most consistent off that wing.

You missed Masha's defence-turn-offence backhand, very close from net and her unanticipation slice backhand, also. In general, Masha's one is the best, no doubt JJ's is nothing but power, is lack of variety, and bad defence. Serena's has just power Henin took advantage of one handed backhand but she still sliced much and one handed backhand is not evaluated as good as two handed backhand

The title is misleading. You need to take into account the backhand in different forms, volleys, lobs, drop shots, slices... This video only shows hard hitting aggressive shots from the baseline. Justine is the only one in the list with variety and skills with the backhand in different settings and parts of the court
