TGV is why I bought an SKX009. It was my first "real" watch, and what kicked off my love for watches. So my wife may not thank you, but I certainly do!

The legend is true the skx gives you instant access. The Facebook guys in the group are like my family now great set of gentlemen. Very knowledgeable. We have jokes and good laughs.

I owned my Spaceview for you for 50 years. I have multiple watches now including some fine Swiss autos. My Accutron still brings me more joy than any watcher I own.

great video man. A request: please make a video on students who are obsessed with watches but are on a tight tight budget !!! !!! As a student and a watch enthusiast but on a seriously tight budget ....You got me into buying the f91w and its steel version. Im surprised that i wear them more than my other awesome watches in my collection. I dont know whats special about it but i love wearing them !

Just wanted to say thanks for inspiring my love of watches and giving me some great ideas on a limited budget - I picked up a lovely bambino with the Roman numerals and blue hands and also a Bulova moon watch - not sure if the Bulova was your suggestion but like I say you’ve just given me a love of watches again in general so keep up the good work :)

Great choices, especially on the Spaceview. I own two -- an original and a conversion and they are pretty much almost indistinguishable. A Max Bill is now on the short list!

I had no idea of the story behind the Junghans. The design is not something I'm drawn to personally, but I'm glad it's out there and very affordable. Great video!

I'm disappointed you didn't get a good audio for us to hear the Bulova tuning fork! I remember these from back in the day. People were kind of amazed by the totally smooth sweep of the second hand... now 60 years later, we've come full circle with the Grand Seiko Spring Drive- another variation of the quartz movement, which again is iconic for its smooth sweep second hand.

Had 2 of them as a kid, Casio F91W and the Casio Calculator watch, just needed the 80's Swatch Watch in the list to complete my childhood trio.

Nice video as always ! suggestion : you should try doing video series about various brands.. for example : seiko history, most iconic pieces etc. That would be really interesting to watch !

Today I've been with my wife to our X-Mas brunch and I was wearing my SKX which went great with a Polo. But somehow the topic of me not having a real dresswatch came up. On our walk home we went watch window shopping and instantly my wife stopped at the Junghans Max Bill watches in the window-display and made the sweet remark, that I should add one of these to the collection 😀

All nice, and some nice new ones I'll be looking at! I have the SKX007 personally, and was looking at the Junhans recently (but decided on the Bauhaus Junkers instead... I know it's not as iconic, but I actually liked the styling.)

Thanks for mentioning the face sizes of the different Seiko SKX watches! I have skinny wrists so I tend to shy away from anything too bulky. The 39mm SKX013 sounds like it would be a good fit for me so I will have to look for one. I would love to hear your thoughts on considerations and recommendations for watch enthusiasts who have skinny wrists (~6" diameter) in terms of both of aesthetics and practicality. The 36-39mm range seems to be the sweet spot for me.

Hamilton Khaki Field Officer manual wind 38mm is the perfect first watch for young guys wanting to get into horology . Eta manual wind . You get to wind it every morning before you head out the door and will form an attachment to your watch . The best 235.00 you can spend on a watch at this time .

That Max Bill is a great call. It checks so many boxes for a collection. Dressy, Bauhaus, not Swiss or Japanese. And to me a manual wind is the cheapest feature one could ever hope for. Lighter, possibly thinner. You pay less and get more. Interact with the watch daily in a way an automatic does not offer. One of the reasons I adore my Speedy.

I have the "Bishop" Seiko, and it is my favorite watch, in part because my car was also Giugiaro designed.

Oh the F91W I'm circa '78 and I had one and thought it was so cool! And even though I styles I like now are Art Nouveau or even more Bauhaus. Yes I know. I could make an exception for the F91W.

Interesting list. I'm a sucker for Swiss made stuff so I'd have to put Hamilton and Grovana somewhere in the top 5. I do own an automatic Seiko Sea Urchin (the one I have was "made in Japan") which is also quite nice.

I also think that the Seiko GMT Kinetic 100m at this price range is really an interesting timepiece, as it's very accurate, attractive, and a well-made solid watch. I have the blue dial version and I really like it.

one month ago i bought myself a SKX007. Put it on a black nato and i am in heaven with it. recently i bought also a Seiko chorno solar militairy style watch.and it is on a tan canvas strap. that is also a beauty that gets a lot of wrist time.

Being an owner of 20 tuning fork Accutrons, I agree with you that these are classic iconic watches. Two of mine are Spaceviews. In fact, it was a Spaceview that started me on the collection road. I still have that watch, and a very hard to find....dare I say rare.......Spaceview with a 14K white gold case. Even though they are small, I do love these watches. I made a video myself of my Accutron collection if you wish to view it. Just search on my user name. Thank you for your videos. I'm enjoying them, having recently discovered your channel.

I had that Casio is school as well, everyone seemed to have one.

That Seiko Giugiaro will sadly not be gaining value because Seiko said they will do a re-edition on that series in 2017. Still a great piece. Thank you for the video !
