mixitup1 definitely a more expensive and less reliable route but if you want more power and are willing to put down the money then sure. But good headers will give you a good power boost with the sc and you will definitely need a tune once you go boost.

Manuel Alonso I would not even consider getting the automatic.

Do not get an automatic. For one, on the FRS/BRZ platform, the transmissions are not created equal. It's the opposite of the growing trend of Automatics being faster than traditional Manuals. With FRS/BRZ/86, the Auto transmission has longer gear ratios for better fuel economy. The Manual has shorter gear ratios for better performance. You cannot change or mod this. This means the stock automatic version has a full second slower 0-60mph time compared to the stock manual car ...now idk about you but to me that is a huge difference for a performance car. On a platform that is already considered "slow", do you really wanna add another full second to your 0-60 time by getting the slower transmission option? Do you really wanna rob yourself of the raw driving experience of this car? Proper traditional shifting is an integral part of "feeling" the car. If you choose the automatic you may have second thoughts of how much fun a manual would be, or if you'd enjoy it more, but if you choose the manual you will likely never think such vice-versa thoughts.

I have an automatic 2013 FRS. I'm in traffic a lot, so a manual would kind of suck. The car is still a ton of fun, and I'm averaging about 30mpg. But honestly, get whatever feels right for you

@@sixninefourtwenty4885 Ls refers to the general moters small block engine commonly used in corvettes . Its a v8 and is pretty commen to see it in engine swap vehicles.

ENCINAS g based on the little research I did, upgraded pulleys are not worth the price. I highly recommend wrapping your exhaust manifold and even front pipe and over pipe. Even better would be to ceramic coat and then wrap it. Heat is the enemy.

@@OrenHolzman thank you for the reply. I did buy some wrap, i did not think about wrapping anything except the exhaust manifold. Will take the information, and look into it. I was also looking into the intake manifold and the spacer blocks for it. Have you done any research on those parts. I think the spacers are made by crawford.

ENCINAS g haven’t done any research so I can’t speak on the performance benefits or bang for your buck. However at one of my recent track days a guy has the Crawford spacers and somehow they caused a short in the Direct Injector module and prevented his car from starting for a day until they somehow fixed it. I don’t know. That sketched me out.

@@OrenHolzman ohhh, that would be sketchy. Did they share why that happened?. Im building my car, in phases. I saw your vid, about making unnecessary purchases. So ive been working on my suspension, and some bolt on, plus the tune from the flash tablet. Im looking into the clutch and the fuel system next, but im at the point where im going to look into the spark plugs, coil packs, and the intake manifold just to dress up the engine bay. I did however want to look at the intake manifold spacers but havent found much relative information.
