I am finally back to eat some of the most famous and delicious street food in the world! Today we cover what is most loved for both locals and foreigners when they visit - Banh Mi.
It is fusion food between French and Vietnamese, there is hundreds of different variants and I will bring you to some of the best spots to find delicious Banh Mi.

I really miss the banh mi xiu mai with the broth. I can go through 2 loaves of bread to make sure I don't leave any broth in the bowl :-) All of these locations are great local spots, especially the grilled meat locations. I also miss their mayonaisse too.

@Chí Phèo nguyễn that's true for all kinds of food, why come to Vietnam or else where to have local meal when it's exactly the same in US or other nations? But it's not that Vietnamese cuisine or other countries ones aren't good in US. You can have them so you will have the good impress and come visit... Cheers

When I was in Vietnam, 1966-67, the banh mi kept me alive and well fed, since I was on an account for food. I had a banh mi cart near my apartment building and which gave you a choice of 3 different choices, and the most popular. On pay day, I'd treat myself to one of the Vietnamese French style ones, and probably way better than most French restaurants in France; at least it tasted great! :) I also liked the Seafood restaurants and one called Hai Cua which if you could finish the two crabs they served, you could get another crab if you wanted it :)From the crab/cua restaurants, I experienced the simple salt/pepper lime juice dip and can't eat shrimp or crab now without it :) Vietnam and Thailand have lots of happy and polite people and great food!

Thank you such an awesome video mate! I think due to Vietnam's climate, it's so difficult to get the banh mi so fluffy. To me the bread is definitely the star. My fondest memory during my return to VN was a fresh banh mi and cafe early morning. Safe travels to you dude! Respect from CA, USA.

They don’t allow vendors to sell street food without permits. You have to pay a certain amount of whatever to sell stuff. The cops will literally come.

I like the variety of banh mi you showcased in this video. I think you should do another one and eat the ones with pork belly, grilled chicken/pork/beef, anything with lemongrass in it, fish patty, pork floss, and the ones topped with the fried egg (op la).

Món này thay vì cho vô bánh mì thì bạn nên xé bánh mì ra và chấm vào sốt sẽ tuyệt hơn
