Love the Townhouse!!! I use it a lot, (along with the Vertigo, SPL Iron, and the Elysia Alpha). Have also found the Shadow Hills class A can "win" sometimes, especially on a aux group bus to give a certain instrument group it's own voice.

It’s usually hard for me to look at a 25 minutes video but this one was really entertaining and had the info I was looking for. For me it’s the Vertigo on the bus, love that “open” sound, or the Neold’s stuff for character. They are all top notch though, just naming favorites. I own too many plug-ins at this point. 😅

lol. i just got the mega L bundle after moving on from waves. Ive had a few PA plugins over the years that I've used, maag, transient designer... I'm primarily a producer/writer but a lot of these tools help my production process a ton because i'm practically mixing as i go, even if only rough mixes. But this bundle is so loaded with so much great stuff that i'm having a ton of fun with everything and I'm finding myself wanting to actually mix my own project, something ive definitely done before in the past, instead of spending the money on it.

That's why you mix into those things because putting it on a finished mix will change it for sure for better or worse 🙂

Great Vid... Recently i found the Tone Projects Unisum compressor and its my fav for the moment. Bro check an annouying ressonance in the 4000kz to 6000 range, i think in the hi hat or overhead. I must say that am rearing this on my cellphone, so... But u could check just in case.

thanks man - 100% - this is still a raw track for the video, so I'll definitely revisit this. And Unisum - yes- for mastering, rather than the Mix Bus in my opinion.. I'd say Unisum and Weiss Weiss DS1-MK3, and also Kotelnikov GE are simply the best!

@@massivebeatzz Personally, I do not agree with the message addressed to you above. Yes - Unisum is a good plugin, but it is “Sterile”. Personally, I prefer Shadow Hills class A on the Master channel 50% (by the way, you have NOT turned off the TMT channels, and this often leads to “destruction” of the balance in stereo). Shadow Hills class A, gives incredible Volume and Depth (3D) for any style and genre. It is important to know that in Shadow Hills class A, when you turn on Opto Compression, you get a Shelf CUT of High Frequencies!!! Many people don’t know this and what’s even funnier is that many people don’t even hear it)))) Apparently they are not doing their job in life in principle)). For this reason, in 99% of cases I never turn on the Opto compressor in Shadow Hills class A. I also always work only in the "Mid/Side" mode. This gives much more results for a Rich final Sound. I love Wide and Spatial mixes - but I always work for Mono compatibility on my two Mono monitors: KSD C8 Reference, and AVANTONE mix cube. I stopped using Unisum. I prefer 3D "analog" vibrations - instead of "flat" 2D sound. Good luck to you!

I’m fascinated how in the comments many like the Townhouse. It’s a good plug-in for sure. But don’t you guys think it squashes the mix? Perhaps I’m doing something wrong.

and you're only doing around 1 to 2 db of gain reduction? Slow attack? It sometimes depends on the source material too.
