Infinite Warfare Zombies is the first Zombies mode by Infinity Ward and the followup to the height of the CoD Zombies gamemode. Here’s five things it did right.
#5: Infinite Warfare Zombies is the first Zombies story with a clearly structured plot. It’s shameful that this is a first for a game that had existed for eight years at this point, but here we are.
#4: Infinite Warfare gave the player the ability to remove perks without going down. This gave players far more flexibility within their games and made improvisation far less risky.
#3: Director’s Cut is by far the best reward we’ve ever had for completing the super easter egg. It completely changed the game, and was able to be switched on and off at a whim. The Mephistopheles boss fight is also the hardest boss we’ve ever had and makes earning that reward incredibly satisfying.
#2: IW Zombies has a great blend of simplicity and depth. Casual fans can get to Pack-a-Punch and round 30 without a guide on most maps, and hardcore fans have the biggest incentive to grind Easter Eggs and use additional features they’ve ever had.
#1: What makes IW Zombies stand out today is its style and charm. While other modes over-indulge in their attempt to make a grandiose epic, IW just wants a structured, lighthearted romp in the form of cinema.

I never really played IW multiplayer, But i had so much fun on Zombies! This had some of my favorite maps, weapons, and is the only Cod that i actually did all of the easter eggs in.

You missed out on some sweet variants for guns then lolol, some of the best zombs variants were unlocked via multi-player and zombs unlocked sweet multi variants lol

Can't beat origins, mob, der eisendrache, revelations, kino, shadows of evil etc but its definitely the best infinity ward zombies maps of all time

Spaceland was a breathe of fresh air and was actually fun map overall, great easter eggs, great pap weapons, the map was designed perfectly

Rest in Peace Paul Reubens....they should've continued this storyline before losing one of our antagonists to anti hero. Recently completed the Mephistopheles boss fight in his honor to unlock his character. I appreciate the hard carry i had who made the fight seem like the easiest thing in existence.

It actually ties in too, extinction was actually "films" directed by Willard wyler the antagonist of iw zombies, the final map is basically the final ee for iw and extinction lol

Better than treyarch zombies. The maps tone and atmosphere besides beast are great. Favorite being rave, love that 90s feel and the trance music by the dancefloor. Then in shaolin you have that bully maguire song lol

They need to make another zombies JUST LIKE THIS ONE not that new bs we got now that shit is garbage I’ve been playing zombies ever since I beat the campaign to world at war and none of them even compare to how much fun I had playing these it’s crazy how much detail they put into these maps and how they actually listened to the cod fan base while making these its sickening seeing what zombies has become now

I honestly don’t know how this is one of the more hated zombies it’s so unique compared to any zombies we’ve ever had or even have to this day it was advanced for its time it’s basically just a better bo3 for me the cards you unlock are literally just gobblegums there is a literal arcade you can play in space land + all the boss fights and unique maps black ops zombies games nowadays don’t even come close to this anymore they are all the same with different maps and the only thing holding the zombies community together was the storyline

I was the only young age I loved zombies in Spaceland call of duty, infinite warfare. It was my favorite what? No second favorite call of duty game ever it’s just amazing. I love everything W zombies in space land this game rest in peace you were still the best game well to me ever

He's wrong about IW being the first game to be able to remove perks without going down. You could actually do it in black ops 1 zombies on moon with the hacker device and would later be implemented in bo3 moon with the release of zombies chronicles

BO1 may have done it first, but IW Zombies made it a feature across all maps and made it not require some gimmick item in order to do it like Moon were you also had to choose between the P.E.S.

The main Easter eggs of these maps are truly some of the worst thing ever made in all of humanity. I just wish the devs didn’t cater every single map (exo zombies-Bo4) to strictly the KZfaq/Reddit/hardcore crowds. Like they build these narrative heavy games, and then hide all the story behind the most inaccessible, tedious, and downright infuriating steps that only the most experienced players will do. Like I just want these games just be good to play.

Infinite warfare was an awful awful game. However. Spaceland and rave in the redwoods are two of the funnest zombie’s experiences you can ever have. The other three maps weren’t good. But the first two are some of the best I’m zombies in my opinion

It literally consists of killing margwas, it’s not hard at all. Mephistopheles is an actual threat who can Insta kill you with multiple attacks that you have to learn. You then have to fight waves of previous bosses from other maps and then at the end every single thing gets thrown your way at once. The shadow man just sits in a bubble and zombies are your only real threat on rev

@bigbrisk8423 the thing is, WAW-BO3 WAS structured. You're talking about BO4 and CW when you bring up the story not making sense. BO3 wasn't hard to understand at all. The OG 4 collect their souls of their WAW selves to cover their asses and fight some tentacle guy at the end.. Literally, the most surface level explanation you can give. BO4 complicated it by making their original goal futile and the multiverse aspect being saturated beyond all hell with each Aether map being in a different timeline. Also you can't say you hate the multiverse shit because BO2 was the first game to introduce it. If you don't like it, then you open yourself to saying you didn't like BO2 for that reason

WAW-BO2 was specifically not structured because they were quite literally making the story up as the maps went on, which is why you had a bunch of random maps in bo2 that made no sense until they were 'tied' together in bo3. Btw this isn't me hating or just making stuff up, blundell talked about this on a stream with a KZfaqr. You can't blame them either WAW-BO2 they didn't know the mode was gonna blow up the same way it did during BO3. Also, BO4-CW is actually the structured zombies games not the other way round. I think you are confused because structured story telling means they knew what the story is and that there was an overarching story to begin with, treyarch didn't have one WAW-BO2.
