For anybody who thinks art isn't important : Every movie, every video game, every book you've ever read, every design on a t-shirt, cup or hat, every tv shows you've binged, every song you've listened to, all of this was art. I wonder if anybody in the worlds would be able to live without any of those things.

One of the reasons I avoid drawing in public is because of that. 6:47 some random would think I’m a sexual deviant when the drawing ain’t finish yet.

I hate people who just say "Why are you using references? THAT'S STEALING" or when I was a kid id trace anatomy to learn and someone said "why are you tracing? That's not even art. Your just stealing. You don't need to trace"

Something I get scared of is drawing girl characters in public. I’m scared that someone will come up to me and yell at me if I make the waist too skinny and saying “your making women want to have unrealistic portions” like bruh no body cares, and I’ve seen women artists who draw skinny waists on women. Like it’s just a drawing it’s not that big of a deal.

I went to design school to get better at my art. Turns out.....drawing actually became a hobby 4 me lol. I still love it....I'm just not as passionate about it as I used to be 😅 But huge applause to those who are still passionate and even do it professionally 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Please make a part 3 and if you do the thing that makes me mad is when people say Digital Art isn’t real Art, that makes me so mad because it is real Art you still have to sketch and do line art and coloring it’s just a another art medium

I used to draw with an online image editor. (It was relatively unknown) One time It started some sort of museum for NFTs, but I pushed that to the side and forgot about It. Now It's pushing some AI agenda with It claiming Itself as an "AI image editor" It even has a full-on text-to-image AI generator. I absolutely hate It when companies push this bullshit, especially when they started out as a normal company for artists. From what I know It only happened twice, but It's still there.

another one is when u upload something like a WIP or a full thing and people say "it reminds me off this" or so. i honestly hate when people do that. and it pisses me off more when it doesnt even look like what they say

I was scrolling on gamejolt tryna find a game and i saw some fellas in the comments of a post arguing about AI art, the dude defending AI art had no respect and just said there was no point in making art if a computer can do it in seconds.

Some people won't realize it until it is too late and try to replace every kind of artistry with something that can never develop (AI or whatever the crap else comes after it). As someone who is trying to be an author and dabbles in drawing, it feels scary for me to even think of what the hydra (the publishing corps) would want to try with AI written material. Though hey, I'll press on regardless and try to get my book out there... if not the one I am working on, then the next one.

Yor are still young and its cool, any feedback wrong or right is a good feedback, the worst for an artist its to have no presence or feedback. But what we old artists really hate...its backpain. So take care of your body properly. Good video.

I really really REALLY hate when someone traces over somebody else’s art and take credit for it as if they made it all by themselves 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

I hate when people “especially artists” loosely throw around the term “reference” without knowing what it means. A “reference” is what you use to confirm the accuracy of the information in question. The term originates from science and even when applied to art is the scientific analysis of information for accurate replication. References cannot be “created”. Photos or live examples are the only “references”. No amount of “ai needs” brats throwing tantrums makes any case for producing references. Outside of exclusively fan art, another artist’s work is not a reference. Certainly the work of another artist can be a valuable learning tool but not a reference. Look at how that artist solved your current problem, but then compare it to a photo to confirm the accuracy.

"fixing" art is a mixed bag. it's never GOOD, but in the case of the famous Mary Jane drawing, the original artist will not lose money, fame, contracts, or reputation over someone else saying "This pose is not physically possible, so I redrew it for myself." it seems like a similar situation to the Hawkeye Initiative; it's not really about the style or artist, it's about how it seems to be the norm in some spaces to draw women in a way that just feels Bad. obviously in order to make that piece, the artist needed to be practiced enough and have a good enough grasp on realistic anatomy to push the pose. he is not the actual target of that "fix". the target is the sexist pockets of society that decide what is attractive and what is not, and then attempt to convince the rest of us that if you aren't a stylized pinup girl, you aren't worthy of respect or humanity. the other end of the spectrum is people who "fix" art they think is "ugly" by lightening skin tones, changing ethnic features, and making characters skinny. that stuff's just racist and fatphobic and it shouldn't happen.

8:28 I would like to add to the statement you’ve already made, not only that art is sacred. I personally think art is literally one of the major corner stone of human society as a whole(aside from education & hierarchy), ever since the ice age people have been using art as a form of documentation to describe their ways of life and as a form of decorative work that is very important for any civilization. Take Mesopotamia for example, the have sculptures of lions and tigers and all of that & beautiful patterns, shit even in modern society where these people say art is just a “hobby”. It is still being very actively used in product designs, movies & the clothes you wear. If you say art is just a hobby and nothing more, not only that you’re insulting the artist but also the entirely of human evolution as a whole.

I found a solution for the question, "Where are their clothes at." I say, "No human being is born fully clothed. Same applies with art." It's actually worked 7/10 times (the remaining 3 will forever be the ignorant kind that always have an opinion to give.)
