Agreed. At first I was feeling like it was really underwhelming but stuck with it and didn’t want to disown it only after 2 hours. It’s an amazing game with great features! I was a huge fan of shadow of Mordor and just got back into playing Shadow of War. It has all the best mechanics of assassins creed mixed with the pure awesomeness of the LOTR universe. Anyone still looking to play this game a few years after launch will definitely enjoy the experience.

The game's really good, I've beaten it several times at this point. It didn't do so well on launch due to bugs and the controversial monetization it had for a single player game.

Oh, and yes Graugs are tanky, but they can still be one hit by captains with Beast slayer.

Like on my last save, I went to die to "The Warlock" orc because he always becomes a Necromancer at higher lvls. But he was like lvl 13 or something, I was like 40. So I wanted to give him a boost before I dominated him. Aaaaand a random orc came and saved me and killed him! I like having Necromancer orcs!

Only 2 bodyguards will ever show up in an online conquest per warchief, no matter what you do.

Factor Fitness bodyguards of your orcs don’t appear at all when you’re attacking since the attacking orcs don’t have to be warchiefs, so it’s be pretty weird having a captain be the bodyguard of another captain

I was referring to when your fortress is attacked. The post above said that a warchief with 3-4 bodyguards would dominate - but that's not possible.

MrButterBritches Butter there is no PvP. The Online Conquest mode simply allows you to lay siege on another player's custom fortress. You get rewards for completing a siege. and don't worry about someone attacking your fort, the defending side never suffers any losses from Online Conquest. The attacking force will suffer losses if you play on ranked mode, but not if you play on friendly mode.

@luxas Well there is alot that I know about some of it most veteran players know about and even most veterans are still learning about some of these tricks. Lesson 1. Always take advantage of experience bonuses. Always have the best possible wealth gems equipped to your armor and cloak if you have 2 perfect wealth gems equipped you will get a 30% experience bonus but if you haven't already done this sign up with that thing in the main menu I think it's called WB Play if you sign in with the email used for your account it will give you a permenant 3% exp bonus totaling the experience bonus to 33% believe me this makes a huge difference. I max leveled in 1 month mostly because I played on separate times so for you I you played 24/7 every so many days you will probably max in less then 3 weeks. Lesson 2. Don't Spend Mierrien on uruk levels unless absolutely necessary. If you Want to level up uruks to your level fast if said uruk is already an enemy and you want him let him kill you one time it will instantly level him up to the amount of levels that your currently at but please note this also may make them 1 to 2 levels higher then you this can be scary if your level 80 because anything past level 80 can instant kill you so if you can wear him down till your able to shame him. Lesson 3. If your luck own that great in the fightpits close the application before your uruk dies this will save your uruk from dieing this also works in the online fightpits so if you want to farm legendary uruks this may be the fastest way but it's the most painful and boring method because I have had one of my uruks nearly lose 20 times because of legendary uruks he is currently facing. Also please note legendary uruks and ologs have higher chances of surviving most difficult battles. Lesson 3. This one is a common answer alot of people know. If possible invest in the marauder tribe and get the raiders armor from the Marauder uruks and ologs. The raiders armor not only helps you get mierien at a much faster rate then scraping gear it also boosts the amount of damage you will do for every 1 mierien you pick up so 10 mierien would boost your weapon by 10 damage and at my level and weapons being the same level if not better I actually tested this theory by the way. I found a slave spawn glitch in a world so I was sitting there killing uruks and farming mierien anyway a treasure olog spawned so I killed it then picked up the mierien while I had the full set of raider armor on I 1 hit killed slaves and ologs alike. So I spawned my graug to test how much damage it would do and to my shock I killed my graug in 4 hits with just my sword. I know this armor is ungodly overpowered. So I highly recommend investing in getting the full set of this armor. Lesson 4. Take advantage of the lessons of trial and error meaning if your fighting an uruk that is very very hard to kill or capture that uruk try everything you can ever possibly think of like if he is frost proof but not fire proof use fire but if he is immune to virtually everything accept arrows then use arrows. Also I have learned that if you use an ability called shadow pull use it often on enemy's who don't have Ranged proof. This can some times glitch and might work on them anyway. Lesson 5. Pay attention to the movement patterns of each tribe and class this will help you avoid the more scary moves each uruk will throw at you. Lesson 5. Don't die too often if you die multiple times in the same region it may result in one of your uruks or ologs to betray you because of not wanting to serve a weak leader I had this happen to me once and I never let my self be defeated in fights ever again. Lesson 6. Always make sure you don't have a full army in your region. Meaning Don't have too many branded orcs in the same place as this will trigger a rebellion encounter and believe me this is something you really don't want to happen as it will happen at the worst possible time like if your in the middle of a tough fight against an enemy that is hard to kill. The reason is because a rebellion van be anything from 1 to 4 uruks and ologs betraying you at the same time turning that 1v1 fight into a 1v4-5 fight which isn't pretty. If this happens Run! then try to isolate the weakest members of the rebellion then brand them or shame them depending on if they have the iron will trait. Do this with shadow pull like I said before it helps make sure you have a 1v1 fight without having to fight an army of orc cannon fodder. Lesson 7. Don't Kill Uruks/Ologs that betray you it is possible to save them. For example it normally takes 1 to 2 seconds for a normal uruk captain to strike before waiting another 2 or so seconds but when enraged they only take half that amount of time for attacks so they will strike one after another in a rapid combo of normal and special attacks. This can be scary when against enemy's like hunters or Assasins or berserkers the same can be said for ologs. Lesson 9. Don't use enraged by everything in your fort defence when they are assigned to guard your overlord there is a huge chance they will start attacking your own overlord or bodyguards when enraged this won't be much of a problem if they are body guards of warchiefs so if the enemy and there army reach a checkpoint and if he gets enraged he won't attack his allies as much because of having plenty of enemy's to swing at. Silver chest are okay I only use them for level ups or buffs and the odd super cool captain this one has less of a bond with captains than the first to me so I don't mind .
