should look into best mods to make them drive like new. the most important bushings and suspension mods etc to make these 20+ year old cars drive smooth again.

Crazy how big a difference new badges make on any old BMW. When I did it on my old E30 it went from nugget to legitimate classic car with just the badges lol.

M sport package with spoiler and lightweight rims always work for track. Combined with some good springs, coilovers and stuff, perfect car

I wouldn't do the tint unless I use clear tint like V Kool because it looks a lot cleaner without tint. The rest on the list are great

#6 Replacing/Repainting any outside plastic pieces such as windshield cowl, window trim, and all the black door/bumper strip-mouldings.

Few more things I would add to this list are: dash cluster bulbs, door panels, upholstery, all air filters, good clean, and decent seat covers to match type of seats you've got.

I would love Hella Celis Black headlights with eyebrows but it's so hard to get these lights. But it would look very good.

@@leobird403 i have an e36 320i as my first car insured it 2 days after i became 18 paying 70 for simple insurance and 91 for almost all in and mine has 6 cylinders and 150hp but im only paying with taxes everything 160 a month only to have it so its do able

Dont forget "Door Handle Gaskets / New Cowl" by Windshield wipers, Both will be very cracked and brittle.

Perfect top 5! Also, If you want your regular e36 to look a bit more sporty after that, just get an e36 M3 bodykit. ;)

As much as I want to agree, everyone does it (with good reason, it does look great). I think a Non M car lowered looks great with stock bumpers/sideskirts, although I think the M3 side trim on the doors looks killer.

Hmm the price of a painting here is around 5k.. u could buy 2-3x E36 with that amount. I would add also rear lights, I just upgraded mines to the new model Led ones

man i have an m3 e36 97 and for sum reason it just won’t start or turn on, we added a new battery, checked the fuses, and the engine is completely in good condition. and thanks for the tips.

XDShizzle check if you have fuel. Starter fluid in the intake, and if it starts, you know you have a fuel issue

Hello yes and there are many more things you can do , White lights front side and rear , easily available on EBay makes the car look so fresh , , Paint the sills and bars the same colour as the car also , Big plus is NEW Wheels , I got a very good set of F90 3 series 17x7.5" alloys with 235x45-17 Firestone S01s , ( just fit under the guards) , makes the car look like a Tonka Toy on steroids !!!, also some gloss black M grilles. one other thing Chrome exhaust trims ! also use Tyre shine on all the mouldings and under bonnet plastics keeps them shinier longer and yes New badges i bought Alpina Bages and side stripes , my Madiera Schwarz 325i Coupe looks new not 27 years old now

Hey man. Not yet. With stock power, I would imagine that wouldn't be a huge issue. My buddy actually broke one once but that was because it had 188k miles and 27 years on it. So maybe just replace with new ones.

Really late to comment but maybe it’ll help someone. If the cars lowered the axles cam overextend and break. You can get axle spaces which will basically fix the issue

Cool man! Honestly, I would recommend an E46 for a daily. Newer. Just make sure it was maintained well. Right on brother

But the E46 steering wheel looks bad on E36, because it's not period correct . You should buy the mtech 2 or mtech 3 (with air bag) if you don't want to go aftermarket

Facebook marketplace or Craigalist. Try and find a 328i with a manual. It's a solid platform and will be able to grow with you as a driver. Trust me, it's a great first car. They're just fast enough to have fun, reliable, cheap, and not super hard to work on.

Jon Drives do you still use a rubber guibo? Because I’m about to grab an aluminum with poly bushing one from ecs tuning. I’d rather something else brake at this point. Tired of cutting and welding the exhaust. Lol.

If it's an m3 I'd turbo it it already has a great engine in it. If it's just a 3 series since it's not as special of a car I'd do a swap.

Replace the cooling system. Put an electric fan! That helps

Replace the Thermostat n flush the radiator. You want to see the radiator gush lots of water when u run a hose on it. Also the Heater control valve vould be stuck not allowing the heater core to fill properly n get the trapped air out of the system. Upgrade the bleeder screw to a brass bleeder. Also check if your fan clutch has tension when it starts to reach normal operating temp. Verify any other coolant leaks
