I like to think Warhammer fantasy takes place tens of thousands of years after 40k where Chaos took over the galaxy and the surviving Humans, Eldar, Green Skins, and other races made it to another habitable planet in another galaxy while the Chaos Gods who were busy fighting each other when they took over the milky way and when there are no souls in the milky way for them to eat, their powers were starting to diminish until they find the Humans, Eldar who now became Elves have rebuilt their races and psychic powers giving Chaos the power they need and so they focused their attention to a new galaxy. That's how it will only make sense to me.

Considering that very few of the Primarchs have legitimate magical defences anywhere near potent enough to hold off End Times Nagash I’d wager he could kill pretty much all of them minus Magnus. Also, comparing Nagash from pre-End Times to actual End Times Nagash is ludicrous. The power difference is insane and even before that power-up, Nagash was still killing the most powerful Skaven of their entire race due to them being responsible for casting he protective magic over Alcadizzar and he’s never once had an issue with killing Dwarves despite all of their abilities to negate magic with Runes. The anti-psyker howl of Leman Russ would be no help against Nagash because it doesn’t stop spells from happening or nullify warp energy, it just hurts the brains of psykers and makes it harder for them to use their powers coz... y’know... they have a headache. Doran’s aura of atheism is BS at the beat of times but again, wouldn’t help him agains an army of literally souls that Nagash can summon to shred him from the inside with their incorporeal attacks. Remember Nagash’s necromancy relies as much on the physical as it does the immaterial. That’s why undead in fantasy are anathema to Chaos. They are some kind of weird fusion between material matter and immaterial warpstuff, giving he middle finger to the “laws” of both at the same time. So the power which fuels this is equally anathema to the warp. Magnus only really stands a chance because he might actually be as powerful as Nagash or moreso and can match his psychic powers against Nagash’s magic. . Also, on Daemons from 40K being more OP than those of Fantasy, I’m pretty sure that’s not entirely true. In fact, it’s been stated by GW themselves that the reason a Greater Daemon has better stats in Fantasy than 40K is because technology has levelled the playing field a bit when combatting daemons of the warp. Moreover, the fact that Lileath found another world to send her champions through (until Bel’lakor assumedly fucked it over) and that the Chaos Gods are supposed to be the same in both settings, it makes more sense that daemons of those same Gods would remain the same in either setting. The whole “but the Fantasy World is in a pocket of warp separates from the rest of the warp” idea only holds true if the Chaos Gods themselves were different entities in each setting. The problem here is that daemons (like Ka’bandha) are only extensions of the Gods themselves made manifest. Which means that f the Gods are separate entities, then by default, the daemons must be too (or are we forgetting the even the Chaos Gods themselves are technically just overpowered daemons who represent the most prominent emotions of the warp/psyche of the sentient beings in the materium, risen to prominence in the warp because of that). It can’t go both ways. Either the daemons and Gods are BOTH the same or they are BOTH different. But then that comes back to the other world found by Lileath in the warp and that itself implies they aren’t as stranded in a world sized pocket, as it would seem. Unless it truly was a whole pocket universe created by the Old Ones and the Fantasty world was just one of many..... . But a big thing is that it’s been established that the most effective methods of dealing with daemons is magic/psyker powers and melee weapons. Something about the original beliefs being that those were the first methods used to destroy daemons and the collective belief of everyone that exists associating their defeat with said methods. . Basically, Nagash from the End Times would still smack the Primarchs. Expect maybe Magnus. This is why a Greater Darmon can shrug off a literal army’s worth of ordinance yet get instantly be killed by a suitably powerful psyker stabbing them in the chest with a power sword.

The fact Gotrek didn’t make it onto this list is an insult deserving of its own book. That Dwarf was so scary chaos had to throw the portal door at him to get him to leave. Second, while there isn’t a direct translation in power scaling as fantasy is somehow more grounded than 40k, I do think we should at least look at these characters as if they were all in one setting. So Aenerion (probs spelled wrong) would at least be War in Heaven levels of power eldar. Lord Kroak I’d go so far as to say is Big E levels of power, Kroak dead or alive (Send your inquisitors, I dare you. Watch daddy Kroak ctrl alt delete your corpse worshipping butts in fantasy or 40k). And Nagash could take on a Primarch power scale wise if he didn’t have the win/success ratio of the skaven race as an individual. Dude is literally human skaven which is basically the Imperium already. Nagash is just extra salty Big E became a god when he expressly told the populace not to worship him, meanwhile Nagash struggles to find willing worshipper.
