@Stephen Weston If people look back more than 50 years on monotone, idea-less shitholes like Cambridge and Paris and consider them architectural masterpieces, then you can be sure as hell that Hadid's work will be looked back on with nothing but fondness and awe.

My more than 40 years experience in architecture, made me very critical of even the best architects, but purely humbled and by Zaha and in awe of her great natural flair as an artist and an architect. While others tried to dictate what architecture is, Zaha ' broke the rules ' and in a way set us free.

Love Vladislav Doronin’s residence house in the forest build by her project. Remember back in 2009 when we moved to our new office in Moscow City’s Capital City, there was a sketch of this project. It attracted a lot of attention and it was hard to believe it will ever be build without significant changes. Now the project is finished and it looks even more irregular and futuristic surrounded by real forest.

Zaha Hadid was truly a brilliant visionary, and my favorite architect of all time. One of my favorites is Leeza SOHO which at first seems deceptively simple but upon closer inspection is truly a remarkably inspired and elegant project.

I saw an exhibition of her models and drawings for various built and proposed projects at the Guggenheim (took up the entirety of the spiral ramp). In a smaller gallery was an exhibition of drawings and early works of Jackson Pollock... two innovative people in their fields in one museum, it was quite a fascinating day at the museum. She also pushed the boundaries of engineering and what building materials could do.
