Actually that's the consistent thing-- none of them saw it coming and so they took the full force of the punch or kick. To fall face-first, you have to already be completely toast-- just a pile of bones.

Yeah you’re right but I don’t think most of them do it on purpose. These guys are pumped with adrenaline that clouds rational thinking. Dude prolly went for the finish instinctively as most of the time when you drop someone in mma, they’re still conscious and fighting back with subs and up kicks. With Prichards case, his scum of an opponent was hitting him as hard as this guy in the clip for 12 rounds. That’s foul and unsportsmanlike. While fighters maybe should be aware of the condition of the opponent to some extent, it’s hard to have sportsmanship while you’re body’s on fight mode, regardless of what kind of person you are outside the cage.
