I’m a Christian animator, and these movies are the exact reason why I am trying to start my own company to create Christian media that is actually ENTERTAINING! And has good quality! Lol. Nice list though!

I'm Catholic. Seeing this kinda stuff is just so stupid. I'm proud of my beliefs, and I ask, why can't we get actually entertaining religious movies? The only stuff I can think of is freaking Veggietales and Prince of Egypt. Edit: SENPAI NOTICED ME. W-why did I say that?

I was laughing during those clips from the Lego Jesus movie. It sounded like how we all played with our toys as kids, except this one decided to actually make a movie out of it, and considering how young he sounds, that's rather impressive.

I grew up with a Christian family and luckily, I grew up with actually good Christian films and tv shows like the prince of Egypt and veggietales

The only good Christian animated movie is Prince of Egypt.

I've seen none of these, but "The Lion of Judah" is probably the best animated. As a Christian, I agree that there should be finer programmes. "The Prince of Egypt," "Joseph: King of Dreams," and "My Last Day" (anime short) are our only masterpieces.

I really appreciate how respectful you are. Despite reviewing bad-quality movies which relate to Religion, and you not being religious yourself, you still treat religion with respect and dont outright say "God isnt real m'lady" or "look at these mindless religious slaves, blindly following false deities" I live in a Chritsian family, and seeing you not bash on these movies for solely being religious made me really happy. No matter what anyone does, the best animated religious movie will always be The Prince of Egypt.

At least you didn't include The Easter Story Keepers. I grew up on VeggieTales. I use them while teaching Sunday School to this day.

It's films like this that remind me how much I TRULY appreciate DreamWorks' The Prince of Egypt, and even it's sequel, Joseph: King of Dreams

My family is religious, but I was truly blessed that my mother had good taste when it came to religious cartoons and gave us Prince of Egypt to watch.

I've been an atheist for 16 years now but The Prince of Egypt is one of the greatest movies. The music, the animation, the fiction.. Everyone else can just stop making religious movies. Nothing will compare.

As a former Christian, I honestly feel that ending a lot, I'm now an Athiest, but it wasn't always that way because my family indoctrinated me as a kid and used to force me to go to Church every Sunday. I only managed to break free of that because I decided to make a choice for myself after really looking closely at what was in the Bible vs. what I believed in and those two things didn't line up. Like, at all. And honestly, what matters more to Christian groups really is the indoctrination, especially of kids because kids are information sponges who know no better, that's exactly what I was before I made my own decision. A lot of other kids can't or won't make their own decision due to fear of their family or their church shunning them, trust me it happens a whole lot more than Christian people will make you believe. These movies really were just a few examples of the ways they try to force their ideals onto children, and I might be overstating this in someone else's opinion, but it sickens me. Kids should be allowed to build their own beliefs and ideals, not be forced into someone else's.

Now I gotta make a Beatles reference because of that Bible town image, but I don't know what to say

One thing that always bothered me was that in every christian movie, the characters are all white... yeah.. in middle east, 2000+ years ago, Jesus was a blond with blue eyes

The Religious lego movie had more thought, care, and passion put into it then any other of these religious movies. You can tell that the kid had a lot of fun working on it and I hope he keeps up his work

It's a shame there are so many poorly made, lazy products based off of religion On occasion, you can get some real gems like Asura's wrath, Okami, The prince of egypt, Unruly heroes, or even pretty much the entirety of the Shin Megami Tensei series

My parents made me see 6 in the theater, I was still religious at the time but I still thought it was bad, it's also thankfully very forgotten.

In the number 5 pick, I think it's worth pointing out that for some reason Prince Eric from Disney's animated The Little Mermaid was there. I'm surprised Disney didn't sue over that.

I'm saying this as a Christian: it's humiliating that my faith is used for these bottom-of-the-barrel productions that are made primarily because because they're an easy sell. A lot of people are afraid that they need to do everything possible to ensure salvation. That if they let themselves take in what they perceive might be sinful entertainment then it's an eternity in Hell for them. But because people need entertainment period, they'll buy up "religious" productions like candy regardless of quality, just to be safe. The people selling the stuff to them know this. It's the same mindset that was behind the sale of indulgences in the 16th century. As a Protestant, I believe that you shouldn't stress out over salvation, in the process squandering the gift of life. That literally all you have to do to be saved is _ask_ to be. But I understand that not everyone believes that, and I continue to be disgusted that people exploit that so blatantly.

My sister and I loved the Noah's Ark movie. We'd borrow it from the library so often. It was also a double-feature, the other movie was about a lion king captured by humans, and his brother had to disguise himself as the king until they could rescue the real one. Looking back now, I have no Idea why we liked it so much.

Okay, so there’s one I remember watching back in elementary school; it’s all about the story of Mary and Joseph’s travels to Bethlehem, but all from the perspective of pigeons who have English/Northern accents. Two fight over a breadcrumb, one gets stuck in a vase, there’s a hawk villain who gets stuck as well. Last thing I remember where they try to warn Mary and Joseph about the Three Kings(?) but are shooed out, and one says that she’ll try to think of a plan to save Jesus. It’s like way before The Star. If anyone knows which movie I’m talking about, please tell me because I want to see if it’s something that Strider missed out on. Edit: It’s called It’s a Boy Quails adventure
