I'm a medical scribe in the Emergency Department. We and the doctors tend to hold it in until we exit the room. Sometimes, we are all just too concerned about the person to laugh anyway. Lol.

Depends on the drugs!! Many years ago I had 3 rootcanals so in addition to the local Novacaine, I had laughing gas!! My friend Cathy drove me. When I came out I told her that my dentist looked EXACTLY like Brad Pitt!! We got in the car and she rolled my head in the passenger window for barking at people around me. I had to go back the next week for the permanent crowns. I was saying oh I can't wait to see my dentist that looks like Brad Pitt. She kept saying he had walked through the waiting room that day and unless Brad gained a lot of weight and ran face first into a SEPTA bus, he looked nothing like him. So she came in the room with me. I heard "Brad's voice" & looked up, no I will wait for the other dentist! He said he was the only dentist working. Well can I rebook with the other guy who looks like Brad Pitt. Whoops, if I took that laughing gas it makes a guy who looked like Harvey Weinstein look like Brad Pitt, can't we just give everyone some of thst each day. When we came out Cathy said, if I hadn't been there that guy woukd have drilled every tooth in your mouth!! Thank God he only did root canals or I would have needed a new dentist!!

The crazy thing is that his reaction isn’t from getting put under for surgery because he’s not in clothing he would be required to wear for surgery. I’ve had pain administered at the hospital and I must be getting a baby’s dose because it helps the pain but doesn’t cause me to turn into a different person.

@unapologetically amy They actually gave him a few cc too many because of the pain. They wasnt sure how much to give..shed never seen that degree of dislocation. However, as mom..I was fine with the amount because he was in excruciating pain. The reaction is from the medication given. He's much sedated. This is called "conscious sedation" That's why his feet are stiff turned inward she explained. Manipulation under sedation. The gown isnt on because the cruise ship members said none was required. Nothing had to be sterilized. (I've had multiple surgeries and not all required gowns) 🤣😂They were fixing a dislocated shoulder, that dropped well below the average area of dislocation. FYI no one will have the same reaction to an anesthetic, that will explain why your reaction was different. 😉

The last time I donated blood I felt like this few minutes before filling the blood bag(I don't know what it is called)..then I passed out and I saw mom smiling at me but with her hands crossed against her chest and she was moving her head right-left (means No)..(she's dead long time ago).. I felt like I was disappearing,..like I was shrinking and becoming smaller and smaller...😂

When I was in ICU after brain surgery, I asked to see my OB-GYN. Later, when I was in neuro ICU, my wife and sister were in the room. With a straight face, I said, “Your mother is a hamster and your father smells of elderberries.” They looked at each other wondering if I believed it or was just my usual Monty Python Humor coming out. :)

Ive been under anesthesia 3 times and each time I cried coming out of it and still dont know why. Emotions took over for no reason. I wouldnt of known I sobbed and said dumb shut if it wasnt for my sisters snapchats she took 🫠.. Was hella embarrassed

My granddaughter thought she died (at 8:40) and cried her heart out. My favorite part was when she sobbed "I'm gonna miss me so much". Never binge watch Grey's Anatomy before surgery. Lol

I was coming out of anesthesia once and when the nurse told me she was going to give me dilauded I yelled relly loudly " whoo hooo hospital heroin!"

I had to be put on dilauded because I had an entire new nose hole made, that stuff fucked me up for at least a few days

I insisted on showing my healed scars from my c-section to my gyno/OBG after another surgery he had performed. My friend told me I kept showing it to him and the nurses saying,”look how beautiful my scar is! Look how beautifully doctor stitched me up!” Good thing he was the one who performed the c-section. 🤭
