I am 15 right now, and i've wanted to work for LEGO since i was 9, its been a dream ever since and i'm hoping it will stay that way for age. I've been collecting LEGO since, 7 years old(Juniors) and watching this video and seeing you build LEGO has inspired me even more. I love everything about LEGO, and probably gonna learn the language and prepare for when i can start working there

My absolute biggest dream is to work for becoming a model designer as you were and now that I’m from Denmark I’m already used to the dark and cold weather and I also speak the language haha;) so this video meant a lot to me and game me a lot of hope for fulfilling my dream!

Always brings a smile to my face when I am reminded of how 1980, I had a girls convent school stop for the night next to a B&B I was staying at in Salzberg. I would have loved to work at LEGO for the LEGO Friends section, I love designing toys, dolls, mecanisms and gameplay but I can't do anything with LEGO pieces, so... It doesn't look good!

Knowing LEGO bricks and how they work nowadays is not a requirement to get a job. As long as you LOVE LEGO and have a design, toy design, or related degree you have good chances at making it. Good luck!!

I've always wanted to be a set designer for Lego. I've always thought I would want to get really good at creator 3in1, and then later apply that concept to other lines of sets like star wars, minecraft, marvelz etc. I gotta build up a portfolio of builds to make myself a desireable applicant, but in the meantime, I've applied for remote jobs at lego like customer service.

It is definitively not all good! There are highs and lows, but overall I will still say that the good stuff far outclasses the not so nice aspects of working in Denmark for LEGO. I still prefer Danish summer over Portuguese summer though! :P As for cake, that's all a man can ask for. Oh and LEGO... Free LEGO... :)

My favorite from my Danish mother-in-law is risengrød and risalamande. I'll take that over cake. Well, most cakes, that is-not French cakes.And for all the good marzipan in Denmark, I still like the Spanish kinds better. :-)

Since I was 6, I considerd the idea to become a LEGO employee so i started making MOS's and learning languages (i´m mexican so I have already spanish), I decided to take Italian and now i'm learning german and in english i speak the aussie and british accent. I think every one who works for lego is very enthusiastic! I was wondering how they deal with pressure and deadlines, do they still enthusiastic? Or what about bad employers or colleagues? I suppose lego pays well the stuff, so the main reason for someone to give up from lego is only for personal reasons. It is really admirable for someone that loves his work

1: you can apply for lego internationally, so you don't need to move unless you get the job, at which point lego will likely help you 2: if you're not accustomed to it, it's not great, but you can just make your own. We eat a lot if international food on top of specifically danish food

He was a set designer (or product designer). A model designer is someone who builds the big lego models you see in places like legoland. He worked mostly on the creator 3 in 1 sets, though he also made the ship in a bottle snd gingerbread house sets

There's a documentary by ENDEVR titled "the world's dream job: how to become a set designer at lego" on youtube that documents a lot of the process, though some important things are being experienced with lego, as well as getting some sort of degree in a design field, though the second option won't be strictly necessary

Hey tiago, i will put my message here because I can't manage to do so on your website, somethings is off on it I would like advices concerning being a Lego designer, it's been some time since I've begun to follow you on KZfaq, and your advices videos regarding your ex-job have been priceless to me, who's dream job would be what you did. There would be 2 sectors where I lack knowledge to do so, and that would be in what type of design studies to do, and what type of build should I do, to improve myself, to be able to design more complexe sets. I already can't thank you enough for all that I've learned in that regard thanks to you, and I'll understand if you can't really help me more about it. 1: just pursue whatever fits you best anything from 3d modeling to carpentry can help, though it's best to get a degree that involves 3d software to some extent. What really matters is that the degree teaches you how to design. Of course, what really matters is how well you can design, and a degree just helps with that 2: build lots of things. Cars, buildings, animals, ships, whatever you can think of. Just make sure to build varied things
