1. Yeah, messed them op on a whim by accident, prior version had them switched. 2. Yeah, overrated batei’s strength. Should be placed below the likes of rokuomi. 3 oops, indeed forgot them. I’m planning on making an updated list with the new chu/wei generals after the current arc ends. I plan on adding them aswell and to use the feedback i’ve been getting on reddit etc. (Been screening it all, incl this comment.) 4. For rinbunkun, as stated, “being a general in qin means something.” It’s just he had very bad luck by facing one of the best generals in his introduction. He was obviously held in high regard, even in a land like chu. His charisma and leadership wasn’t something to sniff at either. so while i understand your reasoning. Rin bu kun has a lot of potential he just never got the change to show imo. 5. Chou sou managed to basically defeat mou bu if it wasn’t for ouki. He was also trusted to be proxy commander of the army by Riboku himself. Basically meaning he was the real commander of the army since houken was just there for show. So i think he deserves his spot. Since earl shi in his depressed state (which is the state i took into account, is from what we’ve seen, just as braindead as mou bu WAS (not is) in bayou. But just has less combat abilities compared to mou bu, taking into account that he was beaten by ouhon, a good warrior but not yet one of the “best”. 6. Yeah, should have probably switched ouki and renpa with ousen and riboku. Will also change that once the new arc finishes. Thanks for the feedback, if you’ve got any more, please tell me.

Okay this is serius question,Batei vs Rinbukun,1vs1,who would win?

@@staima6359 in a 1v1 melee fight? Rin Bu Kun. As berserkers, they both have similar strength feats. However, Rin Bu Kun has experience as a GENERAL rather than a commander and more experience in general. Rin Bu Kun, though not heavy, has the weight of a general. So Rin Bu Kun takes this, though not without heavy injury of his own. As generals both commanding an army? Rin Bu Kun wins hard. Ba Tei is a commander, always being told what to do by the people with actual intelligence, like Kisui. Has less experience in battle and as a result of not being a grand general figure, has less charisma and command. Meanwhile Rin Bu Kun has more experience, more charisma to inspire his men (as seen during the coalition army battle) and a better understanding of basic tactics feat wise. So Rin Bu Kun is superior in all departments as a general.

Yeah should have maybe changed tou and duke hyou. But though mou bu would win in a 1v1 against the duke, he is in no way the better general overall. Moubu would get shit on by tactics while the duke can see through the best of tactics and is also a warrior capable enoigh to slay most enemy commanders. (Except for someone like moubu, that’s why he’d lose a war against mou bu) but overall, duke hyou is the more capable general. Seeing as he would have probably even slain riboku if it wasn’t for plot device houken.

Ldotz 07 i think he did prove himself. He took down Kanmei after all. Who slayed one of qin’s great six generals. In this he has proved his strzngth and i took that into account. Even though he may be a bit more weary after the ouki incident, he’s still by no means a great tactian or anything. And if he tries to be, he’ll just become a lesser general in general. Since he should focus on his strong points.

As a general? Yes. Houken’s all about solo battles. While Go Kei is a tactical mastermind. Duke hyou managed to break through gis formations with brute strength yes, but that was because he inspired every single one of his men to fight like monsters and because he knew exactly when/where to go because of his instinct. He basically saw through the tactics. So in a way it isn’t even brute force. Houken doesn’t have that charisma. Recklessly charging in would just result in his men getting cut down one by one, causing them to break in minutes. Exactly like what happened with Chou Sou vs Mou Bu. One man can’t beat an army. No matter how strong that man is. In a duel? Sure, Houken would obliterate him while sleeping. In a war where Houken is an actual general and not a pawn like he was with Riboku? He’s death before he even reaches Go Kei.

@@vritra8881 hmm thing is all the generals above him are either top tier tacticians or overpower him in terms of strength. Shin is an instinctual General, that much is correct. And yet his instincts have only triumphed enough amounts to count them on one hand. With the most notable ones being the fire he stirred in Duke Hyou’s army during the Coalition Army arc and his instinct battle vs Chou Ga Ryou. All the other times, he has been dependant on the tactics of Ten and Kyoukai. And everytime he had to lead his men on his own, even as a smaller unit, he failed miserably. If Shin can only activate his instincts against another instinctual general (as he has done so far), I’d take someone like Rei Ou or Go Kei over him any day. Shin hasn’t matured enough to use his instincts regularly. Though he already has the martial might and the weight. Meaning the moment he does, he’ll jump into the top 10. But to be fair, now that multiple arcs have passed and Shin has shined in every one of them, I wouldn’t mind of someone put Shin above Chou Ga Ryuu, Bananji, Akou etc. (The same is true for Mou Ten, Ou Hon and Kyou Kai)

yeah, when I made this list, Kanki didn't manhandle Ko Chou yet. As for Riboku, he's narratively supposed to be the best, but yet his tactics to beat Ouki depended on Riboku's name not being known+ secret forces. Ouki saw through everything there was to see through. He just didn't know (like the rest of Qin) that those fast horse squads existed. It wasn't a fair battle. And as we directly saw in their battle, Ou Ki saw through all Riboku's tactics that didn't start with Riboku having an advantage, so their tactical ability can only be tied. But we've also seen that Ouki has far greater charisma and martial might. Ouki and Renpa are the perfect generals; martial might to match the likes of Moubu, Houken, .. (who depend solely on strength), tactical genius to match the likes of Ousen and Riboku (who never go to the battlefield) and charisma of thje likes of Moubu, Rin Bu Kun, .. For me to put Riboku above them, Riboku needs atleast similar martial might and charisma. Because now Hara has just made those 2 too broken. There's a reason Riboku needed Houken and a ten bows of China to beat Ouki despite already having him in a trap (due to information advantage) he knew that Ouki is just so great that he'd have broken out of the trap. Tactics can't solve everything.

Houken was really annoying to rank. I just figured the likes of Shin all lead from the front, and eventually they'll come face to face with Houken and he'd kill them. But yeah, it's really hard to say which generals can kill houken with strategy and which can't. After all he's been depicted as a beast that can route entire armies.

@@monked6966 very true. However if it were shin's army against Houken's with every other troop being equal, Shin would take the dub by barely beating out Houken in a duel. As far as the troops go, shin would take it too since shin is more ammicable and his speeches would give so much morale it would rattle every troop. Especially when hes leading the front. For Houken he only has his fear factor, which is a double edged sword for allies an foe alike and his title as great heaven which will rouse his men, although not as much as Renpa or others sjnce he has nearly no military history

U acting stupid or what? If you put Houken into a 1v1 with Go Kei or Ordo, he’ll get wiped. It isn’t hard to avoid a berserk type General who has no understanding of tactics. Also Houken has no leadership skills. It’s like Moubu but he doesn’t understand what he’s doing, how to rally his army etc. This isn’t a strongest characters list. It’s a best general list. Everyone above him is cunning enough to atleast avoid a direct confrontation with Houken. While also steadily eating away at his army. Now that I think about it, he’s actually too high. Ofcourse Houken will be a monster if you give him a top tier strategist to guide him, but that’s not his own power.

Why should Mou Bu be any higher? He has raw strength, but he doesn’t have an eye for tactics. We’ve seen multiple times that just blindly charging in is not the way to do it in Kingdom. And without a strategist by his side, that’s exactly what mou bu does. Since he doesn’t have instinct like Shin for example. He’d lose against the likes of Yotanwa, SHK, Karin etc. Because all they need to do is evade him. As it’s been said multiple times that even the strongest can’t beat an entire army by himself. Especially if that army would be commanded by a genius. Atleast that’s my take on it. Feel free to let me know why you disagree. As for Karin, she’s the one who come closest to breaching Kankoku pass out of everyone. Her plan failed because of Ordo’s incompetence. One thing she has is that she isn’t tied down by something like morals or honor. We also know she has monster strength. Though ofcourse, not on par with the likes of Kanmei & Moubu, her strength stats & feats indicate she’s similar to the likes of Tou. And ofcourse the fact that she’s been set up as a major and one of the final antagonists as she’s currently the number 2 of the entire Chu military. Second only to Kou En. So from a story telling view it makes sense aswell to have her this high. Again, let me know why you’d disagree as I plan to make an updated list with the new Zhao generals, the Juuko generals, Kyou Rei etc. In the future.

​@@monked6966 Erm no, no way in hell. Ka Rin couldn't even take out an exhausted Mou Bu so saying she would defeat him herself is complete nonsense. You mention her failed plan to breach Kankoku pass which just further proves the point that she's overrated. All that planning and she accomplished literally nothing. Her plain didn't fail because of Ordo or anyone else, it failed because Ou Sen is superior to her in every single way and outsmarted her. And she doesn't even have that many feats of strength either. Everyone knows Yo Tan Wa is the greatest female general and way stronger than Ka Rin. Ka Rin shouldn't even be in the top 10, it should be Mou Bu. I remember watching this video before i read the manga and after actually reading it myself this list feels beyond ridiculous.

@@galanakagalactus903 Karin wasn't in any better position than Moubu was. her army had been fighting the Tou army the entire time and half of her elite forces were at Kankoku pass. Aside from that, their moral was at an all time low while Moubu's army was at an all time high because of the death of Kanmei. She couldn't control Kanmei's men so it was just the Ka Rin army. And yes, I also believe Ousen is superior to Ka Rin. However, it did fail because of Ordo. Every general on the coalition army's side had an advantage over their Qin opponent. For example, Numbers. She assumed that every front would be able to atleast occupy their Qin enemy. After all, they were all state representatives. Knowing that, while not knowing the full strength of Ousen, as he had always been in the shadow. (for example because king Shou didn't favor him as a result of his own ambitions and the fact that he was only a deputy at the time). It makes sense to make such an assumption. After all, it didn't matter if anyone else found out, they shouldn't be able to go assist Kankoku pass as that would leave their own position defenceless. her plan failed because of the giant strength gap between Ousen and Ordo. In other words, a lack of intel on both generals. A lack of intel has nothing to do with how capable you are as a general. Ouki's lack of intel on Riboku's cavalry or Riboku's lack of intel on Sei during Sai are good example of this. As for Yotanwa, I think we need to see more of Ka Rin before we can make that decision tbh. We know Yotanwa is extremely strong, as she beat every mountain tribe's leader in combat in order to subjugate them, however as a result she gained a really OP army. Lots of her plans only work out because of such a special army. Though that is a result of her top notch leadership skills. So I guess you could argue that she's better. I'm just not convinced of her strategic abilities yet. as for Moubu (or any strength based general) to be in top 10, is always a matter for debate imo. A general like Mou Bu can only really shine if there is someone giving him advise/orders. While a tactical general can do without a strength freak. (though this ofcourse lessens their options). Though yes, this is also debateable and I'd also make some changes to this list after re reading the manga recently.

@@monked6966 Her army? Her army didn't do jack. It was Rin Bu Kun's army and their remnants who were pushing Tou. And you're ignoring the fact that Kanmei died because of Ka Rin's failure as a general of Chu. Her elite troops got killed in like one page by Ousen in the manga so they would get annihilated by Mou bu. And her failure has nothing to do with Ordo. You used the word "assumed". Well any general that just assumes everything is going to go as planned during a war is an idiot. A genius would have a backup plan instead of making such a hasty an silly assumption. Ka Rin is definitely smarter Yo Tan Wa but so what? This video is called strongest kingdom generals, it's about who would win in a battle not a checkers match. Being smarter doesn't by default mean you win. YoTan Wa is easily the strongest female general with the most experience by far. So if Mou Bu ain't top ten then neither is Ka Rin because Ka Rin would never defeat Mou Bu in a million years. She couldn't even defeat him with the help of other Chu generals and their armies. I mean i like Ka Rin as a character. She's cute but way overrated.

@@galanakagalactus903how was Ka Rin supposed to know that it would be Moubu’s son who would interfere. That was pure luck for Moubu because he got a rage boost from it. Again it wasn’t a bad decision of Ka Rin to try and make sure their figurehead would survive. If anything, it was foolish of Kanmei to accept a 1v1 like that, since he was the most important man of the coalition army if you don’t count their HQ. Seems you’re trying to blame everything that went wrong on Ka Rin for some reason.. You say everyone who makes assumptions is a fool? If you had actually read my examples, you’d knew how stupid this remark is. Since you’re basically calling Ouki and Riboku etc. A fool. Even Renpa, since he assumed no one in the central army would be able to stop Rinko. Lets simply turn this argument around. Not everything is about strength. Do what if Yotanwa is stronger? That doesn’t win her the battle automatically. Again, on the decisive day of that battlefront, it actually was the Ka Rin army who fought the Tou army. And the Ka Rin elite army is one of the best in Kingdom, if not the very best. Tou’s army, one of the elite armies in kingdom couldn’t hold a candle to them. And you’re still ignoring everything I say to you. The morale of both armies more than made up for Moubu’s exhaustment.
