There are three ways to improve consistency, one is drill, second is drill, third is also drill, until you form muscle memory for the action.

I need to remind myself on that "Feet first, then swing second" especially when I'm in the momentum or in the heat of the game.

Great tips again! I like your clear presentation style. The tip that helped me a lot in the past is to look at the ball when hitting especially during the serve.

Shrink the court is most important to me. That cool shot on the line is nice, but low percentage. Will be working on more high percentage shots.

Terrific content - this video really helps me remember what to focus on. Thank you for posting!👍👍 (I try to remember to watch the ball and keep my head down through each shot I hit. Avoid jerking my head up to see where the ball is headed.)

Love your channel. Most important - watch the ball into the paddle. To keep my eye on the ball/paddle contact, I use the advice to visualize hitting multiple balls. Start with visualizing hitting 2 balls in a row at the net and increase to 4 balls at the back court line. Sounds simple but still the majority of the times my eyes/head pull up and look where I want the ball to go before contact.

Tops for me was to use shoulder to swing from. I’m unlearning tennis. :) Most challenging shots are the return to the serve line …most tempting to revert to tennis.

Lots of volume in a drill setting on the skill I'm working on. After, I had a second ''mouvement to the drill. Ex lateral mouvement then a push dink to the right corner of the nvz. And finally, I work on the skill in a controlled game setting....

Your tips are great if you have three others like you. In reality, most people suck at Pickleball and they threw off any rhythm you tend to develop.

I hear you. I play with one group of about a dozen players that has three dedicated bangers. Rallies never develop into pickleball rallies when they're involved. They quickly devolve into three-shot wiffle tennis...or four-man singles pickleball. And the non-bangers contribute to the problem because they feed the bangers what they want and give the bangers second chances by taking their "out" balls. If your partners don't know how to take control and develop a rally then teach them how. My solution was to start a drilling group. I opened it to all from that playing group. As I anticipated, the bangers were not interested and the anti-bangers were. First I'm focusing the drilling on dinking and dropping...the two things that frustrate the banger's efforts and that bangers are weak at. Once my drilling partners are able to consistently drop balls (and force the bangers into the lowest percentage drives) I'll move on to having them watch the swing path, paddle angle, and take back of the opponent to predict the likely path of the return BEFORE the ball is struck...and be prepared to let the "out" balls go out. It's a work in progress. But there has been progress and that's rewarding.

My secret to consistency is not mine but rather my partner's; for example, if I see them doing something wrong, being impatient or having their head down, I'll calmly advise them and tell them that the game is over and just move to the next point.
